Dear Jena. According to how long these pains last, what their intensity is, it is surely a gallbladder. It bothered me for years, and after the second birth it got worse and there was no way out. Surgery is the only solution. Your doctor will tell you that. You must ask for an abdominal ultrasound. I'm really sorry about the health insurance and health care bills in America. In Europe, nothing is paid for childbirth, emergency care, family doctor, etc. It is only important to have any kind of insurance, your personal private insurance, from your husband or employer, and there is also state insurance for those who receive social assistance, unemployment assistance, etc. Good luck!

Jena did you give an update on the protein shakes? Are you still drinking those/do you recommend still for weight loss? Thanks!
When my stomach started hurting I cut back on those but the first week I drank them I lost 1.5 pounds & then the next week I gained it back (muscle wise) since drinking those regularly helps build muscle.
