Man you nailed it for me ❤ i was an only child of teenage parents and I always felt like the adult in my parents relationship. Never had stability and I craved it. My parents weren't stable themselves . Didn't finish HS Dad did get a skill trade mom got her GED. But that's about it. We moved allot. I went to 5 different elementary schools and one twice at the same school. Just all over the place 😢.
TU for acknowledging the trauma could come from an older sibling, my sister (3 yrs older) treated me very badly my whole childhood. I’m discovering now that my mom had no idea how bad it was. I didn’t realize until I was a parent myself how not normal her treatment of me was. We are working on fixing our relationship now as older adults.
I literally stood up to my narcissistic mother!!!! I couldn’t take it anymore it’s my own thoughts and not have her in the background and she knows and is pushing me not anymore

He must have been "waiting for a shoe to fall" because when we came up against a divergence of his will vs my opinion, his response was: "I knew this was going to happen." No doubt childhood and teenage trauma was and still is involved.

After I left and divorced him he died so I can't say anything my parents were also never there mom worked all our lives and and if she said to do something they only thing you did was jump yet she did not allow any abuse from step father she threatened to kill him and he knew she ment every single word
