Interestingly the era of Capello's Invincibli often seems to be overlooked. Maybe because their style of play was less entertaining and spectacular than Sacchi's and Ancelotti's teams. But Capello's Milan in my opinion was the most scary one. They dominated their opponents and controlled the games almost perfectly, conceded very few goals and often clinched the Scudetto a few matchdays before end of the season. They played three consecutive CL finals at a time when only the national league winners qualified for the CL and they ended the era of Cruyff's dream team with their devastating victory against Barcelona in 1994. Back then there were European top teams and there was Milan, sitting above them. An absolute monster of a team.

With the new stadium, Milan returns to the economic levels of the top in Europe. The comeback is almost complete. Juve were clearly more successful than them before the calciopoli thing. That Milan team was so great individually but they weren't so superior as a team actually if you look at their results. Only one Serie A in those years as said and that's the biggest failure. They were great in the Champions League though. 2 titles in 2003 and 2007, they lost the one in 2005 by a miracle and were quite close in 2006 and only knocked out narrowly by a great Barca team.
