Rhino user here, you used one command too many when making the second "door". Instead of 1) pull curve and 2) push/pull, the "make hole" command would've done the same in one simple pass. Cheers
I started working at an architect office, they are working sketch up, while I was trained (and loved) rhino. For me rhino is better and now I have to work with a weird kids program idk
I use SketchUp but I'll admit rinho is better, although the rinho like modeling can be done in sketch up but it's too time consuming and the geometry is hard to edit once it's made, I've gained alota experience in sketchup now. I'm thinking of starting rinho, Don know if we can use vray with rinho or not. How much time did it take for you to learn rinho?
Go for it and be ready to learn, vray and all render engines are available for rhino. You have to patient first because SketchUp is quick tool but rhino is work focused and hence much more commands. You just have to learn commands to accomplish your task. How to rhino is best channel to learn from ground up.

SketchUp is way behind in curves. Rhino is unbeatable for curve workflow.
Unfair comparison the most of the SketchUp tools are extensions and the belugins.
