Review: Gaburevolver (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger)

The bravest heroes of them all, the Kyoryugers, have arrived on the scene as the newest Super Sentai! Their transformation device is none other than the Henshin Jyu, or Transformation Gun, Gaburevolver! It was released at the show's debut in February, 2013 for ¥4,500. It's been a while since we had a gun changer. The Morphin Blaster was mixed with a cellphone, and the Diend Driver was in the world of Kamen Rider. Being a fan of weapon changers, having a straight up gun changer was brilliant to me. The gun is fairly big, and fits comfortably in the hand. Granted, it's a big bright yellow color stylized after a dinosaur head. Pull back on the tail to open the mouth, where you can insert up to two Zyudenchi. When the mouth is closed, you hear "Gaburincho!" followed by whatever Zyudenchi were inserted. When one is inserted, and the chamber of the gun is spun, the transformation begins, playing a delightful samba tune. When the chamber is spun again, you hear "Vamola!" followed by a special attack phrase unique to the Zyudenchi. For instance Gabutyra's is "Gaboom!" and Stymero's is "Meromeron!" When two Zyudenchi are inserted and the chamber is spun, you automatically go into attack mode. The gun will announce "Vamola Mucho!" and play both sounds for the Zyudenchi, with the first one being in a quieter, less ambitious tone. If the gun is opened and closed again, you will hear "Meccha Mucho!" which serves an unknown purpose at the time of this writing. Included with the Gaburevolver is Gabutyra and Stymero, Zyudenchi 01 and 14 respectively. Overall, this is an absolutely brilliant toy. The mix and match feature of the Zyudenchi and the attack sounds is a great addition, and really adds so much playability to the toy. The ability to transform using any Zyudenchi allows kids with fun imaginations to create new Kyoryugers based on those dinosaurs. To top it off, it can combine with the Gaburicalibur to make the Gaburu Cannon, an even larger weapon. With this much playability, this is a toy that you certainly can't pass up. With 23 confirmed Zyudenchi, and more possibly on the horizon, the choices are endless. Yes, this is another example of Bandai's "pay to play" marketing. However, even without a multitude of Zyudenchi, you can still get the basic functions of the toy, and even with only the two, it's still ridiculously fun. I love it.

I'm referencing the Meccha Mucho sound. The sound it plays when you spin the chamber sounds like armor attachment. It's something I forgot to show in the video. That's what I meant.
Little known fact, Shuki actually works at Bandai Japan. As a matter of fact, he designed this changer. Kyoryuger was actually entirely his idea. All of it.

Finally got mine. This is a great freaking toy. My new favorite thing.
I don't get it early. I bought it upon release from AmiAmi and it shipped EMS which gets here in 2-4 days. Not early, just average for EMS shipping. As for affording, my ad revenue here on UA-cam gets me more than enough to buy all my toys and have pocket money left over. On top of that, I do in fact have two jobs. I am 23, so in no way a spoiled kid. My income is all I have, so definitely no millionaire. Not that it matters, but my debt is restricted to my student loans. There you have it.

I forgot to show off the sound that it makes when you spin the chamber (which kinda makes me angry at myself, sorry about that) it sounds like armor additions or something.
the voice that the Gaburevolver makes when you put a battery in was by kyoryu violet 1 (the mad and silly and annoying doctor.)
Stymero is based on a Styracosaurus, a dinosaur that was also used in Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger/Power Rangers Dino Thunder

I'm glad the Japanese version of this toy from the Sentai is ACTUAL SIZE compared to the piece of crap they're selling at Toys R Us right now for Power Rangers Dino Charge. It's freaking tiny and so are the Zyudenchis that go in it. Americans get the crap while Japanese toys are the real deal.
Fun fact. The changers are what the Sentai and PR for props. So you really are getting the real deal with the Japanese toys.

Punishment No its really because of the american economy. If Bandai of america were to release power ranger toys that matched the quality of the Japanese sentai toys in Japan they would be very expensive. these toys primarily are aimed at kids and most american parents are not willing to spend 50 dollars or more on a toy. So Bandai of america makes their own toys that are smaller and much cheaper to manufacture so they can keep american parents happy..

no, it's not. that's a styracosaurus, identifiable by the horns potruding from its frill. it just looks similar because both it and the triceratops are ceratopsian dinosaurs. there alreado is a triceratops battery, Dricera, and no two dinosaurs are repeated among the batteries
When I saw the commercial, I knew the toys for this were going to be amazing~ I can't believe you have it already! Jealous
havents seen Kyoryuger yet but i want this! i love how Sentai "toys" are pretty show accurate, (loving my Mobirates) and i would never be caught dead with "PowerFul Ranger" merch.

Most certainly. Mostly because a dino samba gun is cooler than an overgrown yelling phone. Not that I don't like the Mobirates, just personal preference.

Yup, "Vamo' lá" is a way of saying "Vamos lá" (the "s" becomes silent) it literally means "Let's go!"

that holster? maybe, with a jyudenchi or two with it. i mean, Kamen Rider Wizard released that chain wizard uses to store his rings as a toy. And KR and SS are basically 'sister shows' because they're both made by the same company. So, it's very likely.
