Yes, it's a song for all the Melody. All the letters they have sent to support all the members while they are in hiatus. All the small but important aspects in the video were all BLUE (the color of the group and the fandom). It's definitely a song to all the Melodies out there (to each and everyone of us). But, I agree also that this song is also for Ilhoon. This thought really makes this song much deeper. All the song that they mentioned (Missing you, It's OK, Only one for me and Beautiful Pain), were the songs they made and sung together with Ilhoon. I know that they made a lot of songs together but those four added more popularity to their already popular career. They never stopped thinking about Ilhoon and he will always be a part of their brotherhood no matter what happened to him. And that is one reason why I like them a lot.
This song really hits hard but also live a smile on my face after hearing it. Another classic from this healing idols (but also gag idols ㅋㅋㅋㅋ) . This is definitely a group that I will never be shy to be a STAN of. To all the MELODIES, let's cherish and support this amazing group of people. Sending all the love. BTOB YEJIAPSA 💙

Their previous albums and this one honestly feel like letters to Melodies, and Ilhoon. There is an underlying longing, desperation, and sadness seeping through their voices and lyrics. It's impossible to even imagine them as nothing else but #BTOB7. They _are_ 7, and always will be.
BTOB said that this is a song for Melody. But no, it's not only for Melody but for Ilhoon too :(

I managed to hold back my tears the first time I listened to The Song and watched the MV upon it's release, but watching your reaction video and seeing you cry really got to me. I actually feel like the whole album is dedicated to the Melodies AND CHEONSA. Even their group pics for the album jacket (or whenever the six of them are together), there is almost always a big gap between two members, as if they are leaving a space for Ilhoon.
I was also trying not to cry because this was a happy day for us, but the lyrics were just… wow. I felt like it’s really for us but at the same time, I just can’t help but think of our Iruna. I know the members miss him as much as we do 🥺💙

You did great holding back your tears, I was just baaaawling half way through it 🤧 to me it also felt like a song to us and Ilhoon at the same time and a way of telling us that those memories won't be forgotten even though we have to move on without him now... I was really scared of how I would feel about a btob without Ilhoon but now I think this song was the only possible song for this situation in order to give us a proper farewell and a chance to move on 💙
