  • When I saw these Pull to Eject keychains online, I thought they would be great for use with switching barrel jacks to make a creative toggle switch that is operated by inserting or removal of a decorative tag. They work great for electronics projects like with Arduino or ESP32/8266, and in this video I tell more about how to make your own pull to eject switch, and how these switching barrel jacks work.

    I know it's a simple circuit, but you said it uses an ESP8266. Do you have a schematic or script of some sort?

    For a more robust setup you could use a hal effect sensor. That way you can pull from any angle without damage.
