Lyrics:
I've been waiting on the fault line
Living evil take me on
I'll be standing with my dying bed
If you care to come along
Racing with the rising tide
To my father's door
I been lying in the bright light
See my shadow from below
Never wanted from another man
Never wanted for my own
Drowning in the rising tide
At my father's door
Through a window to the last mile
My living picture on a wall
From the banks of the far side
I see the lights come ashore
Racing from the rising tide
To my father's door
Racing from the rising tide
To my father's door
Racing with the rising tide
To my father's door
Bones bought me here. Wow God stuff!
old memories, bad decisions, leaving the city and home, with the illusion that things will be different and better, and realizing that if you are not awake and trying to do your best, things will not be different... Everything is better now, this song reminds of my own evolution
Bones brought me here, season 2 episode 15
Still one of the best songs ever written.....
Your so fucking right
You're on it
I love you dad.
Two years since you passed away.
One of the most underrated albums of all time,it hits your soul
Loved this album my whole life
Bones ... And then the song
One of my favorite songs ever.
Loving BRMC brought me here...they are one of the only awesome rock bands left that is newer. With the dearth of commercial music that ain't kiddie crap made by a fucking 3rd grader on a xylophone with lyrics that sound like a nursery rhyme, new bands that actually get exposure outside of their home area has been tough to find unless you reallly dig for it. Thank god for bands like BRMC. Loved all of their albums, and even though two of the songs on Howl are among my absolute faves (this one and Still Suspicion Holds you Tight) Take Them On, On Your Own was the first album I ever bought by them and I still love every song on there, so that one'll always hold the most special place in my heart. Same with amazing post-grunge bands like Days of the New. I keep hoping Travis'll come back. Esp now that although they at least finally released their awesome fourth album Shifter, during 2020, the drummer of my favorite band Hum, died last year.
I love thinking about my dad when I hear this. I can’t love this song enough.
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you...
What an amazing track 🔥
I was listening to this one just when my aunt told me grand daddy was dead, 9 years ago
