Answers to Questions AO Jan 30 3:55 PM EST: The CAN FD credit system will be live soon, the instructions can be found on the supported vehicles list at Autopropad.com. Here is a summary: This vehicle is on the CAN FD platform and requires a paid credit for online calculation. Visit autokeypros.com/subscriptions for credit purchasing and key programming information. [Requires an AutoProPAD with CAN FD capabilities and an active subscription]. All AutoProPad will work as long as they have an active subscription. Basic will need a CAN FD , G2 units above serial number 00771 and all G2 Turbo units above 01271 have CAN FD built in and do not require an adapter.
Ok I am new to this and I need to understand why do we need to pay for a pin for those vehicles all the time doesn’t the autopropad and the yearly subscription we are paying should cover it ? Its why we buy the programmers so they could pull the pins?
What happened to the can fd credits? It was working fine, and now it's been offline for a while. Did nastf get to them? Is autopropad bringing this service back?
Reverse engineering from xtool made a big hit and unfortunately I belive they were pushed against a wall either by nastf or automobile manufacturers to remove that feature. The same way aftermarket tool validation for a vsp credential will be coming. It's all about the money and who has the biggest pocket.
What a terrible, convoluted process to program a car key! If APP has a workaround, they need to integrate it. This is the best they could come up with?
there is a working setup using existing Autel peripherals connected to dealer tool software. I have heard Can-FD + J2534 + Laptop with dealer software + $50 each code calculated.
If I have to pay per use then what’s the point?! I’ll just go back to using dealer tool. To save $7 it’s just not worth the trouble. Locksmiths… If $7 is going to make or break your business then you truly have bigger issues.
We will have moer info to make the updates coming more easy to understand. but this is a top down processing change where the complete process to access the vehicles and the servers to program them will be only available to those to sign up for NASTF and register to the VSP. iot's supposed to make everything more secure and trackable to protect car owners and locksmiths. Time will tell. let us know what the updated look like for you when you experience them!

Is this a one time purchase of CAN-FD credit buy? Or you have to buy every time when you need to program the car?
I believe it's 1 credit per car being programmed. $40 each.
Are the credits reusable on the same vehicle vin?

This starts at and with Xtool. they had a system, and it seems to no longer be valid. there should hopefully be a patch or workaround available soon!

this is received while performing the programming procedure.
What a terrible, convoluted process to program a car key! If APP has a workaround, they need to integrate it. This is the best they could come up with?
This is actually easier and less bothersome than other workarounds I know currently work. it's also $10 cheaper per car.
@@UHSHardware What are the other work arounds without NASTF? I'm using the IM608.
there is a working setup using existing Autel peripherals connected to dealer tool software. I have heard Can-FD + J2534 + Laptop with dealer software + $50 each code calculated.
So basically you pay per car a single fee everytime to program keys?
If I have to pay per use then what’s the point?!
I’ll just go back to using dealer tool.

please explain, if you can, the exact difference in the technique you are employing if it's easier for you or preferred. We'd love to know more!
Is auto pro pad doing what autel is doing? Now you’re going to be needing nastf credentials to use immobilizer functions.
