    Today I used the excavator to load the dump truck with dirt. Moved to dirt to where it's needed and used the skidsteer (ctl) to grade it out.

    That's what I call moving dirt enjoyed seeing that skid steer building up the road, it's just about put the Kubota out of business on these long hauls. Merry Christmas to you all Todd!

    Thanks for posting, some good tips on road building in the mountains. Being in flat Northern Indiana may not use them but helpful anyway. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and a profitable new year. Stay safe.

    Oh yeah that’s one of the good music clips I like to use. I need some drone lessons.😀 I’m having a hard time getting the drone to stay locked onto the equipment. Cool video and editing…

    Since you're just moving and digging in soft dirt , WHY aren't you using your grading bucket which holds significantly more volume that your 3 foot bucket ?

    I say you're better off working alone. Less insurance costs, headaches, etc. You got a dam good truck there, no emission b.s. Love the two way gate, going to do that to my RD. You'll be fine Todd...

      It's hard to find good, dependable help that doesn't cost significantly.
      It's best to continue solo and hire day labor as needed for work that doesn't involve equipment operating duties.
      Also, I used to watch letsdig18...... until I found your channel. Can't remember the last time I watched anyone else on equipment.
      You are an inspiration and we wish your family a Merry Christmas.

    How can you determine if your overloading your weight on the truck?

    • @DigginLife21
      @DigginLife21  3 місяці тому

      That’s a really good question. Best way is to count the number of buckets you put in your truck. Depending on the size of your machine it’ll be 15-30. Go to the nearest scale and weigh. Subtract the loaded weight from empty and divided number of buckets. You will then know much each bucket weighs

    I was just thinking... at 6:50 in the video, how are you videoing yourself backing up? It is following you right along, and I don't see any cables or bars to hold the camera. You are not running a drone because backing up is taking all your attention. How are you doing that?

    • @DigginLife21
      @DigginLife21  7 місяців тому +1

      It’s a drone. I can lock it into the truck and it will follow me automatically

    Not hating so please don’t take this the wrong way!!!! You say a bigger machine is slower, not necessarily because bigger trackhoe will have a bigger bucket meaning truck is getting loaded much quicker!! Now I know your not gonna fit my 323 or 349 I run on your little bench there lol but….. 4-5 scoops on my 349 SHES loaded! lol common sense right!??? I’m just giving you a hard time buddy!! I like that lil 309!! You get a lot done with it!!! Me personally a Kubota 80 is the way to go!!!! You should demo one some day!!!!!! Out operate that 309 ALLLLL DAYYYYYYY

    • @michaelfink9833
      @michaelfink9833 6 місяців тому

      Todd you should also give a Kubota 90,95,97 skid steer a whirl!! In my opinion they are much better than a CAT

    • @DigginLife21
      @DigginLife21  6 місяців тому

      You are exactly right. I was meaning the movement speed. I’m definitely a Kubota fan too. Is just that or local Kubota dealers are not good to deal with
