I'm not saying people shouldn't embrace being more self sufficient but if we can't rely on the government for things like emergency response there should be no reason to continue paying taxes. ( I'm a" first responder" btw ).
Honestly there was never really a reason to pay taxes.
There's no reason to be paying taxes period. The whole system is fucked
If you don't pay you cant play... how do you buy land/home/vehicle etc? I agree though
Then you can also forget about infrastructure upkeep, a postal service, army etc. You know, things taxes pay for.
Grumpyseabee until you stop paying your taxes...
I work as a firefighter/EMT. During the past few major storms we had, our 40-year-old analog radio system was still mostly functional even though our 911 center was down. When 911 came back online it was swamped.
Our department took every vehicle in the fleet and physically checked every street in town to look for trapped residents, injured victims, and other emergencies. We had to dispatch individual firefighters (not just trucks) to addresses on the same street because we and our mutual aid partners were tapped out. We had to cut our way through downed trees to access several sections of town. You need to have the skills to keep yourself alive until we can find you.
That means you need to know how to stop your own bleeding, have plans to escape your own house, establish temporary shelter, procure your own water and food, and take care of your own basic medical needs. At a minimum, you should be prepared to care for yourself for up to 72 hours, but ideally longer.
The town I work in has a base population of 17,000. It swells to 25,000 during the day. We have one ambulance in town, one rescue, one ladder truck, four engines, one tanker, a brush truck, two RHIBs (boats), and five support trucks. We're well aware of the shortcomings of our system. Those weren't deliberate attacks, those 911 failures were caused by tropical storms. If it is part of a deliberate and coordinated attack... Yikes.
Preach. Our dept wants to join the push to UHF/800mhz trunked and all that stuff…meanwhile the VHF low band stuff (46MHz) doesn’t need repeaters and still works GREAT.
You should be your own 911. Educate yourself on first aid, stoping a bleed, using weapons and being prepared. Medicine, basic medical equipment, ammunition, rations and water.

Stay strong, Brother, and it doesn't hurt to pray.
First time ive ever owed money in taxes. They aint getring it
Lol Good luck with that@@hughjunit2503
I'm economically prepared too. Most people call it luck. Lol
I’m a paramedic in the city of Deer Park outside of Houston. We have a city population of 35k people. We have 2 ambulances…… the other day there were 4 EMS calls in 20 minutes. The 4th call was a male whose LVAD was failing. A LVAD is basically pumping the heart and runs off batteries. Life flight had to be contacted after other ambulances were 30 minutes away. This is a city basically inside Houston. Sometimes even if everything is working, 911 is doing other things.
Whew. Those LVAD patients are either really easy or really complicated. Just cleared my LVAD training as a resource to my dept.
People don’t realize how thin the margins are between a slow day and “sorry, there are no units available”.
Yeah 911 is busy violating the constitutional rights of easy targets because it's "safe" for their officers.... Lol
When I worked in the New York City 911 system as a paramedic my partner and I buffed jobs routinely from other ALS units who were giving greater than 10 minute response times to avoid doing the job. The reason I have gray hairs is my partner's driving. He would give a 3 minute ETA to a critical job 7 minutes away and then get there in 3 minutes. One time we literally drove through the middle of the New York City marathon with cops screaming at us to stop, because that job was an infant diffbreather. The point is that if you are operating from a principal- a well-defined, understood and integrated principle- you will do what needs to be done when it needs to be done. I miss my buddy. I was blessed with an excellent partner. Much Love to all. Stay frosty
Thank you
I’m a firefighter paramedic here in SoCal, about a year ago our dispatch system was cyber attacked and we were down for 2 days, relying solely on our radios and cell phones to navigate to calls had Thomas guides ready in case cell phone went down
I’m a ff in abq nm and about 5 years ago we got hacked as did our cell phone carrier for the mdts. We went back to using paper maps. It was funny watching the gen z’s freak out cause they never bothered to keep training on paper maps after probation
We’re vulnerable and complacent in so many ways. Just today someone cut the at&t lines 2 miles outside of the Sacramento International Airport obstructing normal flights. why do we continue to take the easy and cheap route when it comes to our infrastructure, probably because most are in denial of the various threats
Because all of our money and Taxes are going into coffers and other countries.
We had a 911 outage not too long ago as well. Including the one we just had yesterday, April 17, 2024. I live in Northeast Nebraska.
I was a county dispatcher & call taker for a year. I got burned out from working 16hr mandated shifts every day due to staffing issues. Hats off to those that make a career out of it.
Thanks admin clone 69!
God Bless you for sticking it out for so long. I'm an IT guy who works around (but not inside) of an agency in Central Texas that provides emergency communications networks and training to the licensed telecommunicators in our region. Here the last few years or so, the training division started bringing in consultants who specialize in stress management and mental health management for these folks. Every single seat is taken each time that class is offered. I see the strain on the faces and in the eyes of these folks for the brief time they're here. Godspeed to those who still carry that burden every shift. Take care out there wherever you are!
@@telosmonos_gustavo thank you. It was a very rewarding job being able to help a lot of people.
Keep up the good work. We are listening..
Mercer County, KY has just cancelled their contract with the EMS company that served the county. Surrounding counties must now answer all calls from Mercer County, putting stress on an already stressed system. Always be prepared to be your own first responder.
911 was down for a bit here in Hawaii this morning too.
Thanks for all your warnings and solutions.
13 states not 4
Yes it’s increased in reporting since I first reported this. Thanks for the update. I literally say that in the video it’s more, but thank you.
Yes… source? 13 states? I’m literally looking everywhere not a single thing claiming 13 states.
@@MikeGloverActual did you read the news that the line was cut? That is wasn't hacked?
The Sacramento international airport was also hit today. They had the entire internet and phone lines down for the airport for hours today. They had to divert incoming flights, cancel other flights, and some airplanes were left in a holding pattern. They haven't found out who did it yet.
This is why I have been taking EMT classes and am almost done. Go get educated. I will be looking for a live tissue TCCC course and others after this.

I think all firestations should implement a GMRS or CB or 2m or 70m basestation where in the event of lost of communication, there is someone listening for these frequencies. All of this system does not require a cellphone tower. The fire station can have a tower that can serve as a repeater for civilian use for the systems mentioned above.. selecting a universal frequency that anyone can key in on their radios or use chirp software to program radios ...is clear that depending on cellphone towers and digital systems, that can be taken down by someone driving a truck through a facility or dragging a blade to cut comms cables is becoming more and more a reality. Will they do i ??. 🤷♂️
Police and fire in my area have UHF/VHF/HF capabilities, as do the EOCs. The problem isn't the infrastructure, it's that those systems are rarely, if ever trained on.
@dougdaniels I agree with you.. but at least the infrastructure is in place.. all it takes is a bit of public advisory service, including doing PR campaigns to have people obtain these radios and learn to use them..this radios are not expensive, especially the baofengs variety. But will they do it... GOD knows.. is clear that we need to take a step back and revise and revive old tech that has worked in the past.. I like enovation.. but as things continue to deteriorate, we might need to return to systems that are not so easily compromised.
@@tacticalpickle7 We're on the same page, but what I was getting at is that the municipal side isn't training on those backup systems.
@dougdaniels I have a feeling they are going to have to start training soon. Otherwise, this will create a domino effect. Fires that can spread or medical emergencies that can easily be treated will overwhelm the system 🤔... as it is, it doesn't take much to do that.
@@tacticalpickle7 Definitely, but municipalities won't/can't pay for training. That is what we have found with the training programs we provide - The chief will say "I'm not sending you to training because we have to pay you 8 hours and pay the guy who covers your shift 8 hours of overtime". Municipal budgets are looked at in the short term, never for long term benefit. You are right that it will just get worse, but it's rare that an elected/appointed official cares.
Mike, thank you for the work you put into this, and the high quality information and advice. I love the info you give out with these videos. One thing I don't love though is the zooming in and out for emphasis. Once in a while is okay, but when it's done often it kind of sucks. Just being straight with you.
Also, I bought a dead tree version of your book and it's great. Thank you for that as well.
Love the Mike McGill deck in the background. Bones Brigade!
The best!
@@MikeGloverActual I rocked a Lance Mountain Future Primitive back in the day 1987ish
They have a network of Ham radio towers in Michigan that are intended to be used in a failure of the grid. Most fire stations have diesel generators. But even with that backup responses will be slow and limited to priority calls no doubt. Having your own means of sustainment as mentioned above and basic first aid is vital.
Start learning how to store and purify water. Start learning how to grow your own food or harvest your own eggs and milk. Start training physically, mentally and 2A. If you have nvgs, start training with them. Start learning how to hunt or forage in your area. Start learning land nav and radio communications. Start learning basic emergency medical or emergency dental. Stock up on your prescriptions. If you can’t do any of things because of limitations due to where you live, I’m sorry. Do as much as you can. Stay vigilant ✝️❤️✌️
Look also at all the fires in agricultural and food industries storage and manufacturing facilities for over a year now , they’re usually never reported on national news , but there is at least one every two weeks in different States .
All good things to consider! Know in advance how communication works in your local area and learn how to communicate before the emergency.
Honolulu Hawaii just had “outage ” for about a 30minute period… they claim no relation to issue’s last night.
"I'm from the government, and I'm here to help" and "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" are two statements from the government I find as believable as the idea that the 911 loss in Hawaii was unrelated to what happened in the mainland.
I used to argue with my bosses and the mayor about having all emergency communications in one location, I told them to have at least 3 separate emergency communications centers ! People call and ask how your town/city is setup ? If they say one location, you better have a plan in place to take care of your our family !!!
Old news, I work for a railroad, so many bridges in sheet shape. But hey you gotta pay those shareholder dividends.

Taxpayers, don't forget YOU/ WE are paying for this.
Read your tax bill you can find exactly what your portion of the bill goes 911, what portion goes to the police department, what portion goes to the fire department, what portion goes to public works.
We are paying, in advance by the way, for all these services. And it's not voluntary, you have no choice.
They take your money to provide these services. When they fail, they have taken your money, which equals taking your time (a part of your life), for absolutely nothing.
Excuses, or trying to blame an outside attacker, does not give you that part of your life back.
These services are absolutely responsible for protecting themselves from exactly these types of attacks. 🇺🇸
Agreed. No one is better prepared to answer in my time of need than me. I need those resources, not the government. The taxation is out of control and has been since 1906
Mike - as always right on point. One thing to consider, and our community experienced this issue, all incoming calls - 911 and landlines - typically operate on an externally controlled provider (AT&T, Verizon, etc.) and if they do not properly maintain their systems a community is even more at risk. We lost all communications on the island we live on when a winter storm took out the power and none of the communications providers backup system functioned properly. Roughly 18 hours with no landline or cellular/internet communications during a blizzard
Thank you Mike i hope people are paying attention ❤
At 9:30, you're SO CORRECT!!!
Amateur radio and the Amateur TV stations of analog should be certainly reinstated, especially Amateur TV stations that was shut down in the past couple of decades!!!
Here in Nevada, it was the all (State and Local) of Nevada that lost 911 that are on Digital.
I gave up on local news reporting a long time ago. Thanks Mike for sharing the info
Great reminder Content !!! MG❤
Not going to lie - I called this shit right after AT&T and a few other carriers went down. Since that time there have been a series of events popping up one after another with random shit that have either been labeled an 'accident' or we're told authorities are investigating. I hate to say it, but it truly seems like something crazy is spinning up.
Great message. Plan, prepare, and seek self-sufficiency. It is dangerous and negligent to place your and your family's well-being into the hands of others.
Could you do a video on COMS do basic setups tip and tricks? This would be much appreciated brother.
Only 30k views so far is criminal. Thanks for all you do Mike. Godspeed brother 👊
Hell yeah brother!!!
I work at a pillow manufacturing company and we have a hacker from out of country and it’s a god damn problem. The lesson from this is to train yourself and train others. Work in teams and stop being cheap, if you have resources you should share and build relationships before it’s needed and there is no trust . Only desperation
Mike, keep doing what you’re doing.
A few months ago that happened to Illinois
This along with China buying up land inside the USA. China or Chinese companies own approximately 1/3 of the land in the state of Utah. As well as 100s of 1000s of acres in other states. Mostly agricultural land around military bases.
In Utah??
@@notyouraveragegoldenpotato Yes, Utah. Almost the whole upper Northwest corner of the state is owned by China. Check out this vid. "Dr. Phil: China's Economic Takeover of America, Who Owns Our Land? | Dr. Phil Primetime"
I am digging deeper but it looks to be true so far.
Prepare like no one’s coming.
I feel like we are living in Pineland prior to the shit show. However in that training evolution the civilians didn’t have such a hard time pulling their heads out of their asses. It is truly alarming how the writing is on the wall and nobody but a select few of us are alert to this. This is going to be a hard next few years till we know exactly what the plan is. Stay safe everyone and look out for your people.
Thank you for reporting on this. Very few places are even making a blurb about it, and at least one of them tried explaining this as wires getting cut when a light pole was installed by a company called Lumen. Riiiiiight - that will disrupt 911 service in 4 states.
Wait, you had a potluck at the last town hall meeting?? Shoot, I totally missed out!
Wife’s an MD
My junior in HS is getting his emt certificate and both high schoolers are volunteer firefighters
We have our own defibrillator for rural sports meets
And wife has a medical bag for hiking and she is the football team doc
We have 8 fire extinguishers, 4 are huge
All this was planned
Actually….we do get dispatched to fires too and FD does get notified of shootings as well so they can get ready to go provide first aid once we clear the scene and declare it safe
I live in Vegas and when the system for 911 went down. I got everything ready of what I had, just in case. We know it's coming, but when and where is a different story altogether.
I'm lucky here in a small town in Nebraska, I have the numbers of the heads of the first responders. But always be prepared. Stay safe patriots. Thanks for the heads-up.
this happened a few days after the inclement weather warning system went down in several states. this isn't a coincidence.
our reliance on automated systems, that are not widely understood, is shocking. we are using IT for everything and we are even using IT when its not needed. i woud guess that 30 years ago, telephone exchanges did not have the same massive vulnerabilities. totally agree with everything you say about people building relationships for the times these things dont work.
In any situation one needs to be their own first responder
Thanks Mike
Living on a ranch in Arizona, you should investigate what has happened to Gorge Allen Kelly he saw a threat and defended his wife and home
Weird. We didn't hear anything about this in Nebraska. I just looked it up and Lumen is claiming the outage was due to a third party installing a light pole. Across multiple states, some which aren't even near each other? Bullshit.
I build and help install those poles. 1 pole isn't going to do that 😂 fuck these lies are brazen.
I stopped calling 911 in 2021 after i called 3x b/t 2020 and 2021, and no one answered, or it was a busy tone. Fires, i can't protect from, but i sure as hell will defend myself from all other threats using my 2A
Inshalla ya'll.
My local news station here in tx are reporting that this was caused by a crew in Missouri installing a light pole cut a Lumen fiber optic cable that knocked all the 911 out. I would really like to see proof one way or another as to was it really a hack job or was it just human error.
I remember a time where I live we did not have 911 service.
This sounds like testing for an attack. Knock comms then we get blitzed. Stay safe everyone & be vigilant
Thank you for taking your oath seriously as a citizen in the heart of the country we the people truly appreciate what you are doing and god bless you and yours 🙏
As a first responder, we cannot do it all. The fact that a major incident that results in a blip on the evening news will end up deeply affecting your entire town or county isn’t really understood.
This system is wildly fragile. It isn’t a bad system, it’s just fragile. All systems end up with weaknesses, ours has multiples.
Thanks brother 🤙🏻🇺🇸

This happened a year ago 911 didn’t answer during an emergency. I got a callback from a local police station, but I needed an ambulance.
I think you can usually test it by dialing 522. It's not a live call, but you'll get an SMS back
My bank was hacked as I stood in a one hour line yesterday. They locked the bank doors in fact and wouldn't let anyone in.
I however got the $1.25 paper I needed.

They are running test runs at this point preparing for the time they take it completely out and SHTF. It’s coming soon.
Agreed, Great topic Mike!! Thank You for making us think of the alternative!

Thanks Mike. These timeline of events are no bueno.
So this is now Sunday after this happened.
Just got back from being out camping and getting caught up on news.
Seems that now they're saying this was a fiber Optic cable that was hit by a construction crew.
🤔 hmmm.
Go tell that to Warren Buffet and the humps at the railroads. When you Delay or cutting out maintenance you invite problems...
Thank you I live in texas and had no idea this happened.
Thanks Brother.🙏
As someone that focused on cyber security for 911 systems it is typically very easy to hack the 911 system
MIKE, you or someone like you said these instances that we have seen, and will see, are likely tests to see how we react and measure the overall results.
The last one was Verizon and AT&T outages near many port cities?
Was there another I cannot remember?
What will come next? Localized power outages? Localized Water Treatment issues?
We need that hardened ad hoc system that was created by that General on the last Shawn Ryan Show.

I know for a fact that my city, in Texas, was affected. The only available number was the non emergency number.
I guess.
We're going to have to revert to 2 cans. And a string
SCBA masks (self contained breathing apparatus)are a good thing to own
First thing I say when I call 911... "This is an Emergency" or "This is NOT an emergency" Who looks up the none emergency number? When I say the second I am willing to wait while they transfer me!
This was only a test. Wait till October

When i was a kid we had those direct numbers on our refrigerator.
Put them in Your cellphones.
Some of you might remember something called a phone book, there's a "blue" section with all this , and more....😮
Nice Mike McGill in the background.
It’s already happened live in New Orleans after Katrina. That was the dressed rehearsal.
The dumber the system, the harder it is to hack. The fact we're upgrading our systems to keep up with the times is leaving us vulnerable. It'ss an interesting catch 22
Thanks Mike. Great video.
Amen, Mike!
One of your best videos, outstanding.
I hate to tell you, but they've started "upgrading" analog land lines worth digital systems. Ain't that great, now nothing will work when the power goes out.
Thanks Mike!
