Turin looks incredible!! I was not that impressed with Milan, so I’m not surprised that you like Turin better. This video was so well done! The filming, the editing, and the music was all top-notch 👍👍
Great video. My wife was Chocolatier for more than 30 years, and definitely forward this video to her. And Turin definitely will be the city for us to visit in near future.
Thanks so much. We admire your work and travels as well. We love to see people living out their passion at every age!! Keep it up. We have loved our time in Europe and had a great time in Turin. Thanks for following along. John and Bev
Much respect to you. In my younger days (college) I once walked from the Spanish Steps in Rome to the Forum via the Pantheon stopping at EVERY gelato shop, so I completely understand the food tour of Turin! When in Rome or Turin...
You guys are doing AWESOME! I can't believe that you were able to eat all of that in a row...LOL. Very impressive! Everyone deserves a "cheat day" a few times a month! :-) By the end of the video, both of your eyes were glossy. Thank you for this delicious video!
Looks like a fun day! I lived in Torino for 3 years and it is an incredible place. I will be visiting Torino this fall and I am going to have a "sweet" day just like this
Just came across your channel. Thank you YT algorithm! Love how you guys chose to live life. ❤ It’s so inspiring. And then this video includes two of my loves: Italy and chocolate. Hope to visit soon!
I was in Turin 4 days ago and Milan before that. I couldn’t agree more, Turin is definitely underrated and I really enjoyed it more than Milan. Currently in Venice and will be headed to Greve in Chianti next, then Florence and then Rome. Your videos are very inspirational. I wish to travel full time starting in 6 years when I retire.
Thanks for sharing and wishing you all the best in retirement. Hope you enjoy our channel and website going forward. Happy journeys, John and Bev retirementtravelers.com/
Yum 😋 espresso, chocolate 🍫 & cream. Great way to start the day! Looks like a sweet day! 🙃 You’re right, dad would loved dunking his cookies with you 🥰 Can’t go wrong with Nutella. A great chocolate 🍫 day! That’s Alec’s favorite gelato, by the way. That was the first Italian he learned 😉
OK, once again we are having video overlap in the same week! My video on Tuesday was called “what I eat in a day: the England tourist diet” … we also had a splurge day full of absolute gluttony! But the overlap is that I said “I need to walk 15,000 steps today!” So I was laughing when you said the same exact thing!!! I actually showed my step count at the end of the video 🤩. Like you… we had to go back to some very healthy eating after that!! 🥦🥕🍅🥬
Hi John and Bev, we love your video of Turin, we will add to our list of places to go on Italy ext year. E=We enjoy your chocolate tour! Hope you do your 15,000 steps to get on shape. Zoe and Ramon
I love your videos. We are also solo travellers trying to be fully retired. In the mean time, I’ve been doing solo female trips for my channel and couple travel when my husband can come. We had 1 month of blissful retirement until he got called back in to his business. It was like getting one month of joy and being dragged back down into the boringness of work!!!!
Gianduja is helzetut chocolate and Nutella is a Ferrero brand Gianduja chocolate cream. Ferrero headquarters are in Alba, a small town south of Turin. Alba in italian means dawn but in Gaelic is Scotland. Piedmont before the exponsion of the Roman empire was inhabited by celtic tribes. Most names of towns in Piedmont have a celtic root. The Taurini were the celtic tribe settled there before the Romans invasion. In the piedmotese language most words end with a consonant and double consonants like in Italian don't exist, that's why we say bicerin (literally small glass, it would be "bicchierino" in italian where "ch" is always proununced like "k" in English). But there much more than chocolate in Turin. It is the first Italian capital. The Egyptian museum is the second in the world after the one in Cairo. The royal palaces are worth a visit. The royal hunting palace with its gardens in Venaria... The national cinema museum inside the Mole Antonelliana (it is said to be the tallest museum in the world). The car museum, the contemporary art museum and much more can be visited in Piedmont. La sacra di San Michele ( st. Michael abbey), the lakes Maggiore and D'Orta... You are right: there is much more to be visited in Turin and Piedmont than in Milan for sure! 🙂
Thanks for all the great information. Turin is an amazing place and we will return someday. Hope you can follow along on our journey around the world. John and Bev
❤❤❤. My son and I have been viewing your videos since forever. We have begun slow travel for our 1st month, sold everything, left California, crossed the pond, landed in Milan, Italy, then Lake Como, now today in Turin. Watched this video of you two in Italy and laughed a bunch watching your eyes when eating all of that sugar!!! We wanted sugar of our own , so we then left our apt. In Turin, headed down our street to find gelato store where you ate yours ( cute double swing). Onto the same store as you to purchase 6 small pieces of chocolate, sat at white table as you but only ate each one. Do not know how you two ate so much sugar in one day !!!! You can view us if you wish = our UA-cam is “ Prejean with a Passport “. In2 weeks will begin Repositioning Cruise from Genoa, Italy to country of Uruguay. Stay safe !!! Will be looking for your two white t-shirts 🥰
Thanks for watching and glad you are enjoying our channel. We don't eat like that very often, but it sure was fun. Good luck with your channel and have fun on your repositioning cruise. Great video! The music is too loud. The rest of the content, is great! Thank you for posting. I'm a retired Canadian, and am hoping to make it to Italy this year. PEACE!
Well that would be impossible to do considering I'm in my late 50s and I'm more interested in investments that could set me up for retirement in my 60s, my goal is at least $2million.
Interesting. I have a lump sum doing absolutely nothing at all in my bank account, I wanna get something started with it. You seem to be doing excellent for yourself, how do you achieve this?
@Erica Stewart That's impressive. Are you giving her your money or the money stays in your trading account? What's really the idea behind copying trades.
Thanks for the sharing such information a bout panama mom, I am from afghanistan and have MBA degree currently student in PhD pakistan can you help us regarding panama Education and Visa of student I will be glad for your kindly response Thanks
Be careful when you put how on these videos in exchange for a euro, because the first few times they pay you 8 and 5 euros then they ask you to invest and once you invest they empty your account because you will try to give them money to get something back. Be careful they are scammers
