We took my son, my nephew and his wife out today and covered 50 miles of ocean. It was a really fun family day despite a surprising lack of fish. Good times ahead.
4:26 money shot!!!! That's the one I was waiting for, thank you so much for taking us on your journey. I have enjoyed ever video and learned. Starting my build in October. Beautiful boat.
Good luck on your build. This boat is a gem. Are you doing a GA? Kodiak edition or standard? How long? It’s an awesome boat and a fun build. Not easy but if you’ve got the time, it’s worth it. And the end result is something you can’t buy. Where are you located?
@@rhenryinoregon Maryland widebody, I've commented on a few of your other videos. Learned alot by watching, and inspiring. I know the videos took alot of time, time you could have spent building. I can't thank you enough for sharing this. Wishing you nothing but great health and tight lines.
Thanks for the wonderful compliment. I’m quite smitten with Millie. Today we went 36 miles into the ocean and caught tuna. Our first ever! Very fun and comfortable. Even the dogs like her.
@@rhenryinoregonNice! I haven't got one this year, but I haven't tried yet either... This fall though, once most of the crowd hangs it up for the year :)
I LOVE this boat. Super smooth. 50 miles on the ocean today and far less fatigued than I’d have thought. Tuna fishing tomorrow for the first time ever. Should be an adventure.
@@rhenryinoregon It's me, Randy ... Brian :) . I use Firth Mirth as a silly name so my real name doesn't show up all over the web in snide remarks (LOL). How far out is the warm water? Point the bow West, throttle her up, and drive until you see blue water and dolphins ... wish I were there!
@@firthmirth4177 We went about 35 miles to the 62° water. It was overcast so not much blue. We landed two and lost six I think. What a hoot! I’ll be doing that again soon, after I sort out some gear issues. Millie was great of course. I’m getting some air in my hydraulic steering so I need to revisit some connections and bleed things again. Minor issue fortunately. About 90 miles all told, 30 gallons of gas.
LOVE to see you enjoying your boat Randy.
Blood on the decks, perfect food for the belly and the soul. 🙂
Thanks! And today we got our first tuna ever. Only two, lost six in a snarl of broken lines, but what a blast!
Good to see you and your family enjoying the fruit of all your hard work.

@@danielmiller7069 Oh yes, I remember now. Apologies. Similar builds. Good luck!
She's beautiful! Thank you for sharing and bringing us along for the ride!

Nice silvers! Boat looks great Randy! Nice day on the big blue to boot too!
Today was smooth as silk out. Foggy and cloudy but no swell and no wind. And no fish. Can’t win them all.
@@rhenryinoregon Nope, but you can certainly try! Any day on the water with nice weather is a win in my book...
@@TheJasonBuehler Got our first tuna ever yesterday. Only two, lost 6 for various forms of idiocy, but quite the adrenalin rush. Very addictive!

Awesome!!
Nice fatties! Silvers are great ... I love the cruising shots too ... looks like the boat runs pretty smooth!

@@rhenryinoregonCheapest tuna run I've ever heard of! :D :D :D When gas prices go up, you'll have the whole ocean to yourself ...
Congratulations to you both! 👍🙋🙏
Thank you!
I don't like salmon personally, but I'm glad you're having some luck. Boat is looking good.
We probably prefer the rockfish over salmon but we certainly enjoyed some fresh fillets last night with a side of fresh crab. Pretty good stuff.
@@rhenryinoregon glad you are enjoying the fruit of your labor.
