I bought my Napoleon Prestige 500 pro from Embers. We live in CT because of the indepth reviews. This is why we went embers and no one else. Can't wait for it to be delivered.
Thanks for doing the comparison. On the Napoleon my one hesitation is that the rotisserie burner is call a "infrared" but in truth it is a tube burner, can you speak to that or offer an opinion? I would really prefer a true infrared burner similar to their sear burner.
It's true its a tube burner, not true infrared. I was told after i bought it) its still infrared because the tube burner heats the metal grate then that indirectly cooks the food hahaha!! Joke really as there is an actual infrared burner on the side and they think we won't tell the difference between that one and the one on the back!?!?!
I’m buying a new BBQ and the sales person has been steering me to the Weber Summit S-470 over the Napoleon Prestige Pro P500. She says the front to back heat on the Napoleon is very uneven and the plastic knobs tend to break, a lot, in northern climates where I am. Not sure if these issues are real or if they’re trying to get rid of older Weber stock.
Fair review but how does the food taste? Which is easier to grill on? Which uses less LP/NG? This review is only the hardware and not a FULL review. Keep the videos coming as they are informative.
i am between the 665 pro and the 500 pro. can you tell me a bit more on the firebox and what is really the difference between the two? i could not find any details in the specs.
For me the biggest reasons to go with the Weber are that insert that allows all sorts of cooking surfaces. I feel like that's a -huge- difference that's glossed over. How do you cook chopped up veggies with the Napoleon easily? I don't think you can. It requires connecting that basket device which I'm not convinced is a better solution than being able to cook on the surface of the grill and easily spatula them in and out. Then you've got the griddle option and pizza stone...just more versatility. Also, with the infrared at the top of the grill they're saying you can use that as the sear station using the top rack. This is great if you want a built-in unit because otherwise you'd need to buy a separate infrared unit with the Napoleon versus it's built right into the Weber.
I do appreciate the provided information through your videos and the efforts you put into it to raise awareness for your viewers. Sure, I would like to buy from you, but as a resident of Saudi Arabia, I cannot do it at the high cost of international shipping and getting help with assembly. Moreover, it is difficult to get any spare parts or accessories. That is the reason to find the nearest dealer to buy.
@@embersliving The main issue we have here in the U.K. is price so the Napoleon pro 665 is in your money $5250.00 even the 625 Rogue is comes in at $2300 the new broil king IQ 590 ir comes in at $3500 so what is the better 5 burner buy what gives the best bang for buck 🇬🇧🫡
As a decade old Summit owner -- never again. The lower cart rusted out and fell apart like you wouldn't believe. The interior shelf fell out.. that was #1, then the rear wheel axle broke out and it's propped up on a block now.. then #3) the burn box is so rusted out the grates fall down 1" or more toward the flame tamers. Guess what's not covered under a 10 year warranty? You guessed it. Never ever buying a Weber anything again. Sorry for the rant but the STAINLESS lower chassis construction is really where Napoleon shines over the Weber in spades
I have a weber e330 that is 12 years old and basically looks new still and i use it religiously, you have to maintain your grill and make sure to cover it. I live near the ocean too. In saying that i have looked at the new weber grills and have noticed the quality has lowered massively so not sure what to do when this one gives out
I have a 10 year old Summit that looks new. However, I have replaced the fire box (under warranty) because as you said they friggin rust. I've replaced the burners, two starters and the knobs.
Question: and I'll delete this after answered, the Napoleon in the vid is the PRO665, but why is there a "Prestige" logo on the lower area of the side shelf?
two very nice grills that sear station is a big difference maker and it being $300 cheaper. i think the napoleon does win this one. I will say that i love the way my genesis se 335 cooks and is very easy to clean up which is very important to me. i think weber is more concerned on selling more grills than at that price point.
hey Trevor how ya doing i have a Napoleon Grill and LOVE it won't buy anything else have had a better track record with them don't get me wrong I do like Weber too keep up the good work well done cheers from Canada
I just wish napoleon offered straight grates and not just the wave. I just can’t past the wave grate. Call me crazy but I want grates that are straight
That’s not fair, I had a side burner like the Webber once and it was used many many many seconds….. it made a whole sweet chutney even after the wind blew it out 3 or 4 times…… 😂 yeah they are indeed utterly useless 😂
This guy just hates Weber. Always has always will. He's the biggest Napoleon fan guy of all time. I've had Weber grills my whole life and they've never disappointed me yet. Nothing wrong with a Weber.
I have a Weber genesis 610… it’s hopeless… well it cooks burgers, chicken, sausage… all sorts well… steak is better in my cast iron frying pan or in the pizza oven. It just won’t sear and that is why a brand new 665 pro is sat in a box in the garage ready for the outdoor kitchen (and yes I know built in hasn’t got the infrared burner, it’s an optional extra replacement burner that I also have)
I used to love the old Weber Genesis models. But these new summit models look very similar to the box store genesis models. Not worth it. Weber has to wake up. Summit should look premium and this one simply looks like a box store special.
They are living on their brand. And I suspect they sell far, far more grills at lower price points. These Summits are probably more of an afterthought, and the sales from them are just gravy for them.
We sell all kinds of grills! Hey i see you like golf. If youre interested in golf reviews check out our other channel @embersgolf. Thanks for watching!
Good review. You could of mentioned the materials of the grills. I believe napoleon uses 304 on most of the grill vs weber only on some parts.
Great point!

Is it true that to run the lights and lit knobs, this grill must be plugged into an electrical outlet? Will, the burners light?
It need to be plugged in for the electronics to work. I think the burners will light without being plugged in . Not positive though we didnt try that

Can you guys do a video on infrared grills. Like Tec and Solaire.
If we can get them in the showroom we will do it!
All I can say, is your the man! Thanks for your candor
Glad to help

Just got my pro 665 two days ago. Now i want to buy all the accessories, starting with the rotisserie basket 😅
Nice
Are Napoleon working on a upgrade from their 2019 model?
Not imminent no. I would say a few years still
Do you think the Nap Pro 825 is worth it, compared to the 665??? I might be interested in one?
Bob in St. Louis
Ohhh good question. Do you cook for a lot of people?
Question: and I'll delete this after answered, the Napoleon in the vid is the PRO665, but why is there a "Prestige" logo on the lower area of the side shelf?
So it’s called the prestige pro. In the prestige family just the pro version

Yes that is correct
Napoleon all the way for me!
Very nice!!
How is Weber asking soo much for these? I honestly thought the Summit was going to be $500 cheaper and that's why they were even being compared.
Yeah huge difference
In every video from you 25 minutes, we already know that Napoleon id your fsvorite but in lower clas Weber is versitsle snd my oetsonsl choice.
Why don't Weber do that side burner
Bc they are just bs'n, they are waiting to put it out with the new update and charge even more. 🤦♂️
Right, I wish!!

Not too bad. I think there’s better in that price range tho

Truth.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with the Weber. The Napoleon is just the better grill and even at a better price.
What's wrong with weber is they stopped innovation and are now charging more for the same thing. It's just facts
Silly comment, he tries them all as a professional, you probably don't. I also think there is nothing wrong with Weber. I miss my old Q100.

So? If something is shit then I would “hate” it too. Why should he be nice about a sub-par product just because it’s a huge brand???
Weber had 5 years to compete, and this is what they come out with? Really sad for competition. Napoleon won't need an update for a long time.
Yeah the Napolen is solid.

Absoluty not
Can you be more specific, no on weber or the napoleon? I compared the when I went shopping and endedup with prestige .
@WILLIAMMORALES-gw1zz you made a good decision fr
The Napoleon is superior

OMG. What world does Webber live in?!? 15 years too late, they still deliver the worst “premium” grill on the market.

They are living on their brand. And I suspect they sell far, far more grills at lower price points. These Summits are probably more of an afterthought, and the sales from them are just gravy for them.
