YEAH...BEFORE WE'RE TOO FEEBLE!!! LOL! I STARTED AT OG IN THE 3RD GRADE, 1965 (I THINK). WE WERE IN THE OLD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL THEN THE BIG WHITE BLDG. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. POLISHED HARDWOOD FLOORS THROUGHOUT. WHEN YOU WALKED THRU THE BIG DOUBLE DOORS YOU IMMEDIATELY SMELLED FLOOR WAX, CRAYONS AND PASTE. I FELT AT HOME THERE RIGHT AWAY...SADLY IT BURNED AFTER I GRADUATED FROM THE 6TH GRADE. THEN DOWN THE ROAD TO THE 7TH GRADE IN 1969. VIETNAM WAR WAS GOING ON...AND THE HIPPIE MOVEMENT REACHED OUR SCHOOL. WE WERE CHANTING "MAKE LOVE, NOT WAR!" WE HAD STAGED "SIT INS" ON THE GRASS! GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL IN 1975...THE "DISCO ERA!" IT WAS SUCH A SPECIAL TIME IN MY LIFE! THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME OF VERY SPECIAL MEMORIES!!!
