Furina needs ER. Weapon does not give ER, so not as big of a boost compared to other options. C1 is better

Furina is probably the most well-designed character in the game. Super strong without powercreeping anything, she instead created new teams where healers shine and actually helped other units, including Hydros people expected the archon might invalidate. Almost 10/10 kit design, unlike garbage like Neuvillette and Kazuha warping and monopolozing aspects of the game with big margins.
She is so well designed that her pneuma mode is literally useless 99 percent of the time . Like no she isn't well designed when one of her mode is useless

I mean man, you have to revisite your definition of 10/10 design, especially in the context of the game, unlike hsr, having 4 years and that we need some units to force the meta to change, even if the change is radical, and will be balanced afterwards. And that's precisely what Neuvillette and kazuha do
@@user-og9nl5mt1b Not being able to heal while also doing damage, buffing and applying Hydro at the same time makes her more well-designed if anything, which in the first place refers more to her effect on the game and how she impacted other characters. Furina would still be amazingly designed even if she didn't have a Pneuma mode altogether; but the devs wanted the archon to have both Arkhe alignements for lore and more versatile shield-breaking and in keeping with Hydro's major theme of healing, they gave her an optional healing mode to use outside of combat or in an emergency. I personally think it was a good choice, but whatever you think.
A big benefit of Furina is that she can make most 'Jank' characters shine without much effort.

That Kokomi/Futuna/Yelan/Kazuha mono hydro team is one of my favorites to play… I used to run as a taser team with Fischl in Furina’s spot (before her release) and I actually find that variant more fun to play but the offensive and defensive power of this monohydro team is just so strong…
I run Fischl instead of Kokomi (don't have her), and the stagger is pretty noticeable

Kokomi mono hydro is my favourite strong team at the moment. So immensely easy to play and very overwhelmingly strong. The equal amounts of comfort and strength are rare and quite welcome when I don't wanna bother with abyss.
I wish more people would try it out.
At 19:43 you claim it's because of the Arkhe Furina provides from last abyss, but that's simply not true. Even if you look at B-RI10's previous abyss speedruns with Nilou since Furina came out, he himself said that team has been what has gotten him the fastest times. With C0 Nilou I'm pretty sure that with their runs in mind, that team may well be her best team. And I think it's also very telling from the fact that you didn't even manage to find a counter example for your own point and opting to dodge the question saying "people use a variety of teams" without ever actually mentioning their comparative efficacy.

The true strength of Furina is not only how she fits in so many teams as one of the better supports for many dpses, but that she herself creates so many healer teams. Like, you can pair Furina with Qiqi or Kokomi or Baizhu or Xianyun or Charlotte and you can easily clear Abyss without much issue, and all of that with comfort since your characters keep healthy most of the time. Also, Furina's ease of use is immense with her pets following you around, requiring no conditions to attack, and lasting for 30s.
Not really, you cant put furina, qiqi and baizhu and expect to clear this 4.7 abyss, it's a straight up lie, because you want have the sufficient dps, But you can replace furina here with neuv, and this time you will be able to clear, you see the problem?

@@djampoucheukap1742 I never said to put these characters together since it's pointless to have Qiqi AND Baizhu in the team. However, one of them is enough. One of my comfiest teams that clear abysses with time to spare is simply Furina (C0), Qiqi and two subdpses, usually Yelan and Kazuha, but it can be Fischl, Beidou, Venti, or whatever is your teste for subdps as long as energy works. Instead of Qiqi, you can use Baizhu and make something like Hyperbloom. Or monohydro with Kokomi. The point is that you don't need the archetypical onfield maindps in these teams.

Very fair analysis overall, I feel that while Furina is very strong a lot of content creators really oversell how good or necessary she is. She's basically always a good pull but there are plenty of other good hydros as well. I completely agree with the analysis of Bennett being stronger (or more necessary, if that's a better phrasing of it). My pick for strongest is Nahida but my perspective puts a lot of weight on enabling powerful teams at lower overall account investment while still remaining strong at higher investment, and not so much around speedrunning, and Dendro teams are the best for that by far.
Personally, I definitely don't regret pulling Furina, but she's also not a unit I necessarily use every abyss cycle and some of my stronger teams don't really want her (Arlecchino vape or mono pyro/Nilou/etc.)
If I just want to increase synergy w/ Bennett and colorinde is C1 enough?
Would you recommend going for Furina c1/c2 if I'm planning on using a reverse vape team with Klee (c0), Xingqiu (c3) and Bennett (c1)? For extra context I don't have Yelan or any good anemo characters (except Sucrose but I hate Sucrose and refuse to use her). Would Bennett's healing + Xingqiu's minor healing be enough to sustain the team?
I have neuvillette c1 and I personally like using childe over furina when I don't play Childe International. My favorite Neuvillete variant is with Childe, Kazuha, Zhongli and it just feels so smooth and comfortable to play.

Why do I see in furina gameplay when people do E then Q they do E farther from the enemy, then dash up and use Q? Is there a reason not to use her skill when close to the enemy?
its a very small timesave animation cancel to dash out plus it using the skill out slightly earlier compared to running without it can help deal damage earlier. it's very minor overall. it can also affect swirl setups since it affects when the pets may attack.

I really appreciate your insights on 16:20, it can be surprisingly difficult to get refinements on Favonius weapons, and I value them so much because they're so good for an account's QoL for teambuilding. Weapon banners can be a scam most of the time, but it's not always going to be completely garbage when you target the right ones for sure. And I really don't regret downing 120 pulls on them early on to secure R5 Fav sword and Mistsplitter

27:31 I remember 2 extreme exemples : a "C0 Ayaka one-rotating the 3.5 abyss wenut" but it was actually C0 R5 with C6 R5 Shenhe, 674 base atk weapon Bennett, and C6 R5 Kazuha (mainly the R5, his constellations didn't do much there) and the other exemple was C0 Neuvilette speedrun, I think it was the 4.5 abyss top half, and it was C0 R1 with C6 R5 Furina and in these situations, it feels like it's very intended click bait like if someone did a "C0 childe run" but it's C6 Neuvillette using the +1 normal atk talent passive
Overall, I feel like saying CX (insert carry name) speedrun when an other character in the team is higher constellation is a bit misleading but I also understand that you can't explain the exact team investment in the title of a speedrun video
yeah absolutely you're right with both! it is both reasonable to feel mislead with those types of videos, and also it is also understandable for the uploader that they can't convey the investment easily in a youtube title. sometimes it is intentionally misleading, but also sometimes they wasn't trying to. perhaps this is where the cost/gold system helps
She's very strong undoubtedly, yet I have to go out of my way to find a use for her. Nowadays, I'll just default to one of the Arlecchino archetypes and a Dendro team, most recently Clorinde aggravate. I tried the quickbloom variant with Furina and while it certainly is a decent team, I much prefer Aggravate. Dusted off Wanderer after pulling Jean c4, and tried Faruzan c6 and either Bennett or Furina. The Bennett variant felt much better on 12-1-1 despite the circle impact. If I ever pull Neuvillette, she'll at least have a home on my account cause now she feels kind of lost.
it's certainly not uncommon to be maining two dpses who don't need furina even in their best teams, I've done several account reviews with similar situations to yourself👍

Similar situation over here, Furina been on the bench for like 4 months in my account cause the teams I main have no use for her. I main Arlecchino hyper and vape, Furina C0 is a DPS loss and awkward to use in vape compared to XQ/Yelan/C6 Candace, she would need to be C2 to actually be a good addition to an Arle team. Also I main Wrio melt with Benny/XL/Shenhe C2 and Furina C0 is also a slight worse buffer for Wrio than Shenhe is here, not to mention she steals pyro app to vape and we want that pyro for Wrio melting.
Finally, I main Childe international, nuff said, that team's composition is set in stone and Furina has no business there, tried replacing Childe for her and DPS loss was noticeable in single target, huge loss in AoE scenarios.
I'm sure she is amazing and a game changer for other accounts. But there are some examples like mine and OP where she just has no home.

Would a hypothetical future burning-focused dendro unit with mid dendro application enough for a forward vape Furina?
I’m think Furina Sigewinne Bennett and a dendro, with either on-field Bennett, or any character that can be infused by Bennett’s c6, like a polearm?
The forward vape might remove burning aura but with the remaining dendro, you should be able to retrigger burning with pyro, never letting hydro be the aura
No since you have to maintain the burning, so no furina allowed with emilie

And for the A1, you only need burning for 1 milisecond every 2 second to get the scent, and Bennett and/or her own NA is enough to do that

I think maybe my question was a bit too account-specific so sorry about that! I don't have Alhaitham or a 5* electro for quicken other than Raiden, but I have Nilou (and hyperbloom teams in general) and some people were saying c2 Furina isn't that strong if you didn't use less healing (while others said the opposite), so I was thinking if I should go for c2 Nahida instead
it depends if you are planning on using more your Dendro teams or if you are focused more on your Hypercarry teams.
It is box dependant and reliant on which characters you want to buff the most.
If you want to play Nilou, ofc Nahida is going to be the greatest choice.
But if you'd rather have a cracked Arlecchino/Noelle/Neuvillette... => whatever "non reaction" DPS, Furina
If you consider a "reaction DPS" => Hutao (VV Vape)/Tartaglia (to some extent, Arlecchino (VV Vape), Kazuha C2 is then the greatest
I fully agree with 4:00 - ... Hydro hasn't really be countered at all the whole of 4.x imo furina and neuv are the most overrated char in terms of power since idk how long. Don't get me wrong i still believe furina is top 5 in the game and top 3 maybe top 2 hydro so i still think she is top tier and broken BUT i never felt like she was the strongest unit or most needed unit in any team i use

This video made me remember, when Kokomi was just out, maybe like one or two CCs (at least of those I watched) outright said that if Kokomi could crit she would break the game. It's funny that they more or less did that with Neuvillette and he is indeed super broken. It's got the extra layer of funny when you recall that many more enthusiasts were convinced Kokomi was the reincarnated hydro dragon, and yet...
Well, I would say the larger part of what makes Neuv so good are factors that Kokomi doesn’t share with him, eg the extremely versatile AoE, being able to freely swap and reposition, having a simpler input method that doesn’t punish much for not doing cancels, etc.
I think if you had a character that did Neuv damage with Kokomi mechanics, their reputation definitely would not be as good as Neuv’s. Though it would probably still be pretty good.

i find that furina is the most consistent version of neuvillette teams, hydro resonance and being able to consistently burst on neuvillette is why i tend to not play the other variants of neuvillette teams.
Same here, clearly his best team is neuv, furina, kazuha, baizhu. I hope that they release a pyro or electro support that can heal the whole team and apply electro with E skill while off field
FFXX is pretty much the only team I use often that includes Furina, maybe I'll use her more when/if I get C1 but we'll have to see.
i did quite lucky have her C2 at early. and for her weapon at first i using Festering but quite lucky i got Chiori Signature when i wanna try my luck for red horn, and the dmg kinda huge upgrade. damn.
Personally for me not really exist "strongest" unit in the game, it is more like strongest units. Furina doing such high personal damage and universal damage bonus thet it is pretty on par with Bennet's ATK buff and sustain cpabilitise or with Kazuha grouping and damage bonus. I would even say tht characters like Chevreuse and Faruzan could arguable be part of the strongest group by the nature how impactfull they are for the teams you use them, like, Chevreuse C6 absolutly do as many things as Bennet or Furina if not more.

Id say in the Alhaitham team its a bit harder for her to die with Furina compared to Yelan, because in both teams she doesnt get healing ticks from her own skill, but Furina's passive can still heal Shinobu when Alhaitham gets overhealed
@@salto7080 in those teams is preferable for me to use Nahi on r5 Prototype. EM from burst is also very useful on Alhitham so its win/win. Also ppl dot invest in Kuki nearly enough. If you do many of her substats will be HP%/EM for better healing
I personally 36 starred this abyss with wrio, furina, benny and xl on the upper chamber and neuvi, zhong li, kazuha and kuki on the bottom. My neuvi is a bit slow since I only have sac jade on him. Tried to get tome but freedom sworn ruined my life, but hey, it gets the job done.

Of course she just works best with neuvillete but she offers a lot of good teams that can work really good even if she isn't "best in slot" so go for it she will change your accounts versatility tremendously
but keep in mind she need a healer to reach out that fanfare stack. and for me and my friend who have Jean already build, She a godsend for both our account. we manage get C2 th, and its amazing. Furina able to make your Atk/Deff/Hp goblet viable depends on your character scale is insane. i do have atk and Hp goblet with like 50CV stat and that really kinda make my build easier.
i call furina a smogon bird (well in this instance genshin bird need some work lol)

You mentioned how "if you don't play Bennett with these characters, they feel bad", and I do play these characters and I think they work fine without Bennett.
Sure, Bennett will give bigger number, but those bigger numbers aren't necessary. Maybe with the exception of this 4.7 abyss that is harder than normal, but still.
I usually do the following teams:
Wanderer, Yelan, Layla, Faruzan
Gaming, Xianyun, Zhongli, Furina
Liney, Kazuha, Zhongli, Klee (yes, this last one is "way worse" for other reasons, since there is no healer and there are only two pyro, but I was able to clear 4.5 abyss with it, even though I was still getting the hang of Liney and he was still lv 80 with lv 8 talents).
And all those characters are C0 (for exception of Yelan C4, Faruzan C6 and Gaming C6).
The Liney Team is all C0 and his weapon is Amo's Bow.
Ok, I'm watching the rest of the video, and I think you're having a criteria that is getting mixed up.
You were talking about "clearing abyss", right? But then you started talking about speedrunning. So it made me think now that you were talking about how Bennett is "necessary" in those teams with speedrun in mind. For me, it wasn't clear but probably it's my fault on interpretation.

I really only use her with FFXX. If it weren’t for that team, I probably wouldn’t use her at all.

I think the complains about C2 supports for Furina, Nahida or Kazuha, are warranted when the UA-camr announce C0 run....
Regarding F2P and 4-star weapons, you will naturally get a steady flow of them from losing rate up 4-star 50/50 on limited, as well as from standard pulls.
If you insist on R5 or bust, then sure, you probably won't have enough for heavy refines, but is that min/max mindset really compatible with F2P in the first place? I'd say no.
At the end of the day it boils down to the weapon banner using the same currency as limited character banner.
Every pull you blow on weapons is a pull lost for characters,. It is hard enough for F2P to make skip/save decisions without this other thing bleeding them out as well.

Furina fits with Atk scalers and can match bennett buffs, while Bennett cant fit in hp teams and kazuha on bloom teams. Again, quite shortsighted. I do think they’re strong but not as top 1 and 2 anymore.
Yeah she can match his buffs, but go ahead and name how many units actually ditched Bennett in favour of her. You made it out as attack scalers appreciate Furina just as much as Bennett, when that clearly isnt the case.

Come Natlan and the Abyss suddenly has nothing but hydro-immune enemies to make ppl pull for pyro characters from the new region 😂 Not saying I want this but this is Hoyo, I wouldn't be surprised.
The most impressive part in this video is Baizhu having such a high usage. That char is just so so bad, not enough dendro for consistent HB as a solo dendro. Huge ER requirements. Few buffs (less than 120 EM worth of buffs), long ass E animation and Q. He just heals
Bcs Genshin CC overhyped his value as a healer to pair with Furina, but Furina’s strongest team(Neuvillette + Furina hypercarry) doesn’t need a healer regardless of Furina’s con bcs Neuvillette helps fanfare stack to full with his self heal
Somehow people are running Baizhu as the last slot for this Neuvillette hypercarry when Zhongli is just miles better with consistent interruption resistance and res shred, so Baizhu’s usage rate gets carried by this team
If 90 out of 100 people use a character it will have 90% usage rate but if 5000 out of 10000 people use another character it will have 50% usage rate. Usage rates are kind of misleading

thats very rng. In my experience of doing account reviews, I've seen numerous accounts that lack them. Although I agree you don't *need* to pull on weapon banners, there is still a lot of value in increased rates for useful weapons.
I am a 1.0 F2P player and I only have 20 rolls on the weapon banner. I never struggled with the abyss horizontally investing and have multiple high refinement Fav weapons. Although I will say after all these years I am getting more cons (have c1 furina, getting c2) and planning on rolling for The Key when it gets reran. I dont know what I would suggest for new accounts but I have no regrets on how I allocated my primogems.
I was curious about your math and apparently I have 43 fav weapons having received none from the weapon banner as a day1 player. 9 bows, 10 Lance, 7 GS, 12 Sword, 5 Book

Really stretching on "Furina is not the strongest character", don't you think? Furina is not a "plain stronger than Bennett" character but he's not omnipresent. Furina is the only universal buffer of the whole game, not limited to ATK (like Bennett) or elemental type (like Kazuha), so she's much more flexible, which, in my opinion, makes her better.

I find it so weird to be short selling a character that is so efficient as one character. Don't need to farm for 5 other alternatives since you already have an answer you can hyper invest into and thus performs better than all of her alternatives. I think you are downplaying how much Furina gives to a lot of teams. In my personal experience, Neuvillette without Furina is just alright (still one of the best dps tho) but nothing amazing. Xiao is barely playable with the double pyro core (Bennett, Xiangling) while with Furina Xianyun he's really good. Mono hydro teams without Furina are a joke unless you have cons on Yelan and even then they are not the best. For Alhaitam she is straight up a dps increase over both Yelan and Xingqiu (rip my king, he deals negative damage compared to the other two options but at least he has some defensive utility I guess), but I can see why someone would prefer Yelan over her just because the hp drain can be a problem sometimes. Hu tao without Furina is the same thing I said about Neuvillette, a good dps but nothing amazing, in this case is just because Yelan Furina is a way stronger core than Yelan Xingqiu (guess who is the dps loss pepelaugh). I could go on but I think the point I want to make is clear, 75% bonus dmg (50% on average)/20% Healing bonus for the whole team, great off-field damage and the ability to enable a set that gives you 36% crit rate are a lot of things that added together makes Furina stand in a tier above everyone else for now. Also someone can say "but you need a healer with Furina otherwise she is useless" and that is somewhat true, but there are healers that do something other than just healing like Bennett and Xianyun that are just great characters on their own and that sinergize very well with her. She is not a must pull, but if you want your favorite character to be a lot stronger she is the way to go unless you play Bloom/Arlecchino(with cons is ok but bot worth it for me)/Chevruese teams.
he is not downplaying her, he said, for most people she'll feel an upgrade other units, it's very likely anything around 30 substats builds are gonna be better with Furina, most people won't get 40+ substats builds, most people wouldn't never put Xingqiu on Noblesse or Bennett on Instructor (though you might do, I'm just taking an example), most people won't weave attack or do sub optimal animation cancels...
For instance, you are taking "damage" as DPS over time as a metric, though, if you try to clear the fastest humanlmy possible, it's not a metric, and 2 Vaped XQ's E can be better better than Furina's for instance.
Furina has the luxury of "I press 2 buttons and I can afk, and despite isn't optimal, is better than most unit if they aren't played perfectly"
My point is, if you are taking more than 20s for a chamber, which is "most people case" I believe, it's very likely Furina will always seem better than any other unit.
Honestly he talked about most points you mentioned, and in general, he'd probably agree that for most people/most cases/ if you are just chilling, then yes, Furina is a better character

Why'd you use the words "straight up increase" in regards to Alhaitham specifically? He's one of the on-fielders whose synergy with Furina is seriously overrated. That "straight-up increase" is in the ballpark of ~10% on paper and it certainly doesn't get better than that in practice. You should also be aware that in solo hydro, the personal damage difference between Yelan and XQ is negligible and only Furina surpasses both (but even then, only significantly so when you run longer rotations). Also, XQ's rainsword orbitals literally make you ~70% tankier and noticeably harder to stagger. I wouldn't call that just "some" defensive utility.
Once again, for Hu Tao, double hydro with Furina/Yelan is like ~10% stronger than the version with Yelan/XQ. If we're talking about a C0 Hu Tao in her traditional playstyle, she really isn't amazing with or without Furina. It's only with Furina + Xianyun that she becomes arguably "amazing" at C0 since only that combination allows her to reach the DPR thresholds necessary to one-cycle some of the tankier chambers in abyss (while also not experiencing the Fanfare drop from 2nd rotation onwards that Hu Tao's Furina + Bennett teams do).

Basically, furina wouldnt be as much as popular as she is if not for the absoulte sheer power of the monstrosity called neuvillette, because if you count furina teams where she is the best and most comfortable and synergistuc option is: neuv, xiao, kokomi (gaming also but not much people really have him c6). And as I said, it's not really neuvillette who needs furina to be relevant and crush the meta, but it's actually furina who needs neuvillette to even compete with units like bennett, kazuha and xiangling
Furina has her own teams outside of Neuvillette where she can be a sidegrade to popular supports while using less popular healer units. She doesn't need him to be meta, and neither does he need her. Furina doesn't need to "crush the meta", that's just another way of saying badly designed flops, which is what characters like Neuvillette and Kazuha are.
She is meant to assist and lift up niche units and also help her fellow Hydros instead of invalidating them. She is a meta unit in a way more elaborate than "haha I'm stronger than you, so sit back" like Neuvillette and Bennett. People falsely calling her the strongest unit are either biased for a character they enjoy a lot, or have different metrics, which I don't see why it should annoy anyone. Otherwise, her popularity is warranted for many reasons.

The top meta teams(ez to use, good dmg, flexible), if we simply look at it from f2p perspective are Neuvillette hyper, Arlecchino vape, Alhaitham hyperbloom, National archetypes(Raiden, Childe, Furina), Navia double pyro
These teams don’t really need Furina at all beside Neuvillette hyper to perform well, sometimes adding Furina in can result in negative impact
In my opinion C0 Furina is not worth getting if you don’t have Neuvillette, if ur pulling for Furina, at least get C2 to make her ‘worthwhile’

going past this furina can still be played with bennett kuki and xinayun healers with massive buffs in their kit and its a huge misconception that she can only be played with party wide healers like baizhu and jean
third most all teams in genshin run some sort of sustain unit be it a healer or shielder so the slot furina is taking in the team is usually your other subdps buffer which is fine since other fischl and nahida for dendro she will out dmg them while giving the strongest buff in the game
furina lastly works with all these dps unit neuv,diluc,lyney,cyno,aliathaim,tighnari,clorinde,hutao,wrio,xiao and,navia
all these units before you even consider furina was already using a healer in their though either bennett,kuki baizhu or xinayun

If Bennett is strong because other characters are maid with him in mind, then he isnt strong, its the other DPSes who are weaks. They shouldnt depend on a single character. Not everyone like to play him. (I dont mind myself but a lot of people refuse to play him).

Its cool if you dont like him, but he has a much better case of being considered the best unit in the game and your dislike of him or you liking Furina more doesnt change that. No characters are balanced around Furinas kit, every attack scaler is balanced around Bennets kit being broken and thats a fact. Being more universal is cool, but she isnt broken to begin with, so that makes her balanced and a sidegrade lot of the time and thats healthy for the game, while Bennett is just restricting the game with how strong his kit is.
