I can't speak to that reviewer. I asked RaceDayQuads whether they had any issues with failure rate, complaints, and returns, and they said nothing out of the ordinary. If these were failing left and right, I think RDQ would stop selling them. RDQ has sold hundreds or more of these. That's a better sample than one reviewer who nobody can figure out why his units died.

You can use this as a standalone battery checker by connecting the balance connector to the unit without any DC source connected to it. No need to go through the menus.
The 'charge' function allows you to charge non-RC type battery packs that have a built-in BMS. I use that feature for charging various cordless power tool packs.
Is it possible to charge a car battery with it aswell? It does support lead batteries... That would be awesome to have this as an emergency charger aswell

I just did my first real proper FPV flight today with HDZero Goggles, Rapidfire, Tango 2 and a Geprc Mark 2 analog, it was amazing!! Thanks to you Joshua!
Trickle charge is meant for NiMH packs, where you have to keep a charge rate of C/20 or less in order to fully balance the cells if they're being charged in series as usual.
this is weird though, the setting changes nothing on the charger as far as i can tell you cant set the current low enough to get C/20 for most packs... so you cant trickle charge?

The original B6 for me was the only charger that didn't have correct safety checks and almost resulted in a battery fire (it let me charge a 3s pack at 4s voltage even though the balance plug was plugged in). It also died quite quickly. I wouldn't trust skyrc, especially when there are more reputable ones for a similar price (e.g. isdt q6 nano). Hey i have the b6ac neo version of this charger and i was wondering about discharge current its max is 2A ( min is 0.1A ) is it safe to leave it at 2A discharge current for every battery? If not how do i determine the correct current for each battery?
2:00 I honestly don't think it is a good idea to recommend people to overcharge their lipos, even if it's just 10mV. You are not going to get any significant amount of additional energy into it, and let's be honest: calibration accuracy of devices like these is usually within ~100mV, and I'd absolutely prefer my device to undercharge by 100mV than it is to overcharge, and any recommendation to overcharge even by only 10mV is more likely asking for trouble than it is going to bring in terms of more energy stored in your Lipo. Packs will usually drop back to below 4.2V quickly, but that really does not mean compensating your charge is a good idea by any means. It's really not a recommendation I'd dare to make.
Reaon why SkyRC is not very popular? Because of their B6 and the quintillion of rebranded and cloned versions that like to burn down houses. They have a veeeeery bad reputation with safety.
Why can't they make a type-c charger with a nicer screen, the ToolKitRC M4/M7 needs an external cable and this SkyRC has a crappy screen lol, oh wait no ISDT do have the 608PD

I see that the B6 Nex uses GaN. More than the double the price for me though.
Got one.... my fan sputtered on and off on the first use. doesn't make me feel that great about the quality... also... my charger with USB-C goes to 100w, not 80w... I have a Anker PD 3.0 USB-C and it was designed for macbook's, def hits 100w on the startup screen. and i know the side of the box does indeed say 80w but the manual says it goes 100w on PD 3.0
Hey Joshua can the geprc cL25 handle gopro mini 11 while flying in mild freestyle style?
No it's too heavy
Do u need the white thing plugged in I’m new to this
Yes definitely you need it. ua-cam.com/video/n3urBpFIBgY/v-deo.htmlsi=W_Jd7dcB-M81w2aS
Can i use xiaomi 30W phone charger to power it?
Note: the fan will die quickly, the accuracy changes and it can get hot as hell when the fan takes a shit. This info is all from a in depth video test/ review on another channel.
Yes ONE channel gave those results. Meanwihle RaceDayQuads' owner says they have sold hundreds of them with no returns. So who has the better sample size.
Thanks Joshua as I've just watched said review. I'll be contacting my go to hobby store in the UK whose a SkyRC stockist and ask what his returns are like on this product as I'd like a small battery checked and field charger in one
did you find out buddy cheers @@MadfishFPV
@@BseriesPro yes they were happy with them
@@MadfishFPV thanks for reply
Isn't this basically a toolkitrc M7?
Hey i have the b6ac neo version of this charger and i was wondering about discharge current its max is 2A ( min is 0.1A ) is it safe to leave it at 2A discharge current for every battery? If not how do i determine the correct current for each battery?
Yes that's fine. All the batteries you use can support 2A discharge no problem.
I have an XT60 power supply
Was going to get one of these. You made them all sell out. 😵💫
backwards + and - how could they screw that up?
This would be incredible in combination with a solar cell kit for phones on the field
The 1k like was mine
Can I charge lipos with this using a xt60 connector from a battery bank?
Yes.
@@JoshuaBardwell Wow that was a quick reply lol. Thanks!
yo@@JoshuaBardwell can i just use crocodile clips to xt60 connected to a car battery for this charger
I think it really doesn't matter. As you said, "You are not going to get any significant amount of additional energy into it", thus not causing harm.
Reaon why SkyRC is not very popular? Because of their B6 and the quintillion of rebranded and cloned versions that like to burn down houses. They have a veeeeery bad reputation with safety.
Is this compatible sir with 2s 450mah Lipo battery thanks
yes, it is
@@pipoypipoy7796 thank u
ofc! i use it for my 1400mah 6s
Finally, I can charge my car Pb battery from phone😅
Why can't they make a type-c charger with a nicer screen, the ToolKitRC M4/M7 needs an external cable and this SkyRC has a crappy screen lol, oh wait no ISDT do have the 608PD
nice ;)
