Sparkasse OÖ Klangwolke 2016:
50 Jahre JKU
Die Sparkasse Oberösterreich übernimmt als Namenssponsor die Schirmherrschaft über die Linzer Klangwolken 2016 bis 2018. Die Landessparkasse und die Landeshauptstadt ermöglichen somit den Menschen in der Region das jährliche Kulturereignis der besonderen Art im Donaupark. Die Johannes Kepler Universität ist der Themengeber für die Klangwolke 2016 und feiert mit der spektakulären Open-Air-Inszenierung ihren 50. Geburtstag mit allen OberösterreicherInnen.
Thema der Klangwolke 2016 ist die Johannes Kepler Universität. Sie wurde im Herbst 1966 gegründet. Die Klangwolke im September ist damit der Start in das 50. Jahr ihres Bestehens. Seit ihrer Gründung ist die JKU ein Motor für Innovationen. Das soll auch in der Klangwolke erlebbar werden. Naheliegend daher die Wahl des Regisseurs: Für die Inszenierung konnte die JKU den international renommierten Medienkünstler Salvatore Vanasco gewinnen.
Salvatore Vanasco und sein Team werden den Stellenwert von Bildung und die
gesellschaftliche Bedeutung von lebenslangem Lernen in eine kraftvoll inszenierte Show im Donaupark übersetzen. Salvatore Vanasco: „Das JKU Motto „Fluss des Wissens“ hat uns begeistert. Es inspiriert uns, aktuelles und historisches Geschehen als imposante Szenenbilder in die Donau und den Himmel über dem Donaupark zu zeichnen. Wir wollen einen Bogen aus der Vergangenheit in die Zukunft spannen. Technologische Entwicklungen, wie sie an der JKU tagtäglich entstehen, werden spürbar und erlebbar. Auch das Publikum wird eine wichtige Rolle spielen.“

As the names sponsor the Sparkasse Oberösterreich has adopted the patronage of the Linzer Klangwolken from 2016 to 2018. The Landesparkasse together with the state capital Linz thus enables the people in the region to savour outstanding and very special cultural events at the Donaupark. The Johannes Kepler University serves as the subject of the Klangwolke 2016. By staging a spectacular open-air production the JKU joyfully wants to celebrate its 50th anniversary together with all Upper Austrians.
The subject of the Klangwolke 2016 is the Johannes Kepler University Linz. It was established in 1966. Therefore the Klangwolke taking place in September this year marks the beginning of the 50th year of its foundation. Since then the JKU has always been a driving force for innovation, which the coming Klangwolke will try to show. Salvatore Vanasco is the obvious choice as artistic director, because he is one of the most internationally renowned media artists. Vanasco and his team will translate the importance of education and the societal significance of lifelong learning into a powerfully orchestrated show at the Donaupark. Salvatore Vanasco: "We were thrilled by JKU's motto 'flow of knowledge'. It inspires us to draw current and historic events as scene images into the Danube and into the sky above the Donaupark. We want to span a bridge from the past into the future. Technological developments, as they come into existence at the JKU on a daily basis, will become noticeable and perceptible. Also the spectators will play an important role."
