Question about the faulty Dice Vaults:
If that kinda thing ever happens again would you guys consider selling them to carvers or other artisans?
That way its not a total loss to you guys and it would be a good way to recycle wood that you can no longer use.
I'd love to purchase a few of them and see what I can make.

Y'all could probably do a discounted price for all those dice vaults that got screwed up for those who wouldn't mind not having a magnetized but still beautiful dice vault. That is of course depending on how long ago that was and if they haven't been literally trashed yet lol
*David Attenborough Voice* The Wyrmwood is a proud creature. It takes exotic and no so exotic woods, and uses them to make beautiful creations to put on display. But only the best of those creations. The rest? It throws away in a trash heap as they cry for the time it took to make the sub par creation. Outstanding.
Seems like a huge waste...They could just make plugs and redo the holes and sell them at half the price. The Dryftwood line of misfit trays or some shyt like that ^_^
@@stumduffins I get that they have the craftsmans promise, but I am a hobby craft enthusiast. I have a 3d printer and enjoy making my own geek accessories. If they gave me one of those misaligned vaults, I'd gladly take it and fix it.
I would be more then happy to get some of those messed up dice vaults, instead of seeing them thrown out.
I would happily take those vaults they threw out for a lower price, i don't care if there was drilled a new awkward hole for the magnets

Two part weight loss program:
1) Avoid sugar and cream in your coffee.
2) Fruit is healthy, so put it on your pizza.

Was ill overnight and didn't sleep, At 5am (BST) last night I came across this channel knowing nothing of it (despite owning a Wyrmwood dice tray for years). I have now binged watched all of the Wyrm Lyfe episodes damn near straight. Fantastic, real and enhances my appreciate of all the care that goes into every product. I will treasure my dice tray (kind gift by my party) even more!
"We may have bought a flappy house" may be my new SECOND favorite quote. I don't think anything will beat Doug's weed quote last week. So absurdly excited for the new Kickstarter, not even a TEASE about it's launch date though!?!?! Weaksauce.
Lastly, fucking LOVED the spoopy balloon shot, whomever's idea that was to get that as an interstitial, you're genius. ( JV ). Oh and Dave sadly sitting throwing out vaults, also a great bump. Loved it, but hated it. Love you Dave!

I get where everyone is saying they would want a faulty dice vault. The problem is wyrmwood is small company and as they said labor is a limited resource. On top of that they have to keep inventory space in mind and that’s one more item, or more if you take into consideration wood species, added to an inventory list they weren’t prepared for.
Watching Wyrm Lyfe makes me really want to do woodworking as a job rather than a hobby. That and I get super jelly over all of the beautiful woods, like the nicest wood I've worked with is fir that was stripped off of a barn.

My little brother was highly allergic to cheese until he was 10 and he LOVED pizza. So he was stuck eating cheeseless sausage and pepperoni pizzas. When we would order them at pizza places we were given the weirdest looks. (Especially considering we lived in Wisconsin)

Low cost coffin vault option: Pine. With some lines milled in to make it look like planks. Like an old west/cowboy look.
You could make them out of 2x4's from Home Depot.

Y'all should take the busted vaults and mill them into Wyrmwood pencils or something... don't just toss all that out!

I have the Wenge coffin dice vault with the matching coffin dice tray. I use them all the time and I absolutely LOVE them! If Wyrmwood ever decides to bring them out again, I would definitely be adding them to my collection.

I agree with the rest of the comments that if you are able to recycle that wood, it would save so much money and cut back on all the waste.

Seeing all those thrown away is so sad!!! I would have gladly bought a discounted one that wasn't magnetized!!! I know I'm saying this months later, BUT next time something like this happens, think about doing what LL Bean does: Have something like the "Employee Store: where it doesn't have the craftsmen guarantee (stuff from the Employee store is NOT returnable) BUT you can get like $150 boots for like cost of materials because the stitching got screwed up or something.

possibly stupid question. Shouldn't there a way to salvage all those slightly "off" dice vaults somehow? Move the hole over with resin and a re-drill? Make new lids/bases for the functioning side so they do click together correctly? I mean, it's probably too late now, but it seems like such a waste to throw all that wood/work away.

From reading the comments section, there are lots of other tinkerers and crafters like me that wanted to get our hands on some of that wood at a discount or free. I would have loved to had a chance at salvaging them. I've even just went and 3d printed a pair of dice vaults for me and my flatmate.
Bobby...after binging...bingeing....???? After watching every Wyrm Lyfe episode in 2 days I am hooked. Please keep doing what your doing. Super well made content. The one thing I was thinking was I know on CR you guys sponser/get shout-outs all the time but I feel like neither Wrym Lyfe or the channel as a whole has never been mentioned. I've been with CR since episode 5 of the first campaign and I HATE I never knew about this amazing amalgamation of a hilarious work family and genuine crafting knowledge.
