Please bro, I have hp motherboard when I plug both charger and battery its charging ic start to heat up and doesnot power on
But when I plug only battery or charger it powers on and charger I doesnot heat up please what could be a problem for heat up of charger ic because I have tried to replace new charging ic but also heats up when plug both charger and battery

Please master what causes charger ic to heat up when connect battery and charger, but when you plug only battery it doesnot heat up, or if I plug only charger also it doesnot heat up, but when connect both charger and battery then starts to heat up

charging ic vcc diode short. or discharge MOSFET short. or charging regular mosfet short. check all of those areas

yes every laptop with type c has its own c type bios or something the main bios has it.you have to extract with the help of hex editor.
