  • Having just published a rather fabulous book about Langemark cemetery, its history and the men who rest there, Roger Steward dispels some myths and gives a brief overview of why this is such an important site.

Well worth a visit if you are in Ypres. Bleak compared with the 'English garden, cemeteries, it was flooded when we went there in early Spring, hence the German concrete bunkers. Trenches were impossible to keep dry in Winter. Must get the book too.

Lockdown baby lol. Thank you for writing this book. Langemark is the death of German university students. We must not forget this aspect of humanity. I will get this book, i wish I could have you as my guide. Your a hero to keep the memory alive so we don't repeat it.
