I know this weird little relationship that UA-camrs have with their audience is not intimate enough To consider either side to be a friend. But I would be lying if I said I wasn’t happy to see how much progress you’ve made in these past few year Cameron. From the bottom of my heart congratulations on the baby, merry Christmas and keep being an awesome human being. Much love from NYC
There is a Honda event at the Tail around sept-oct ; next year we are going along with some of the Honda community down in south FL if you want to join
I feel the stress, My type r got rear ended in October and I’m just getting it fixed by insurance and went to go pick it up today and the brand new bumper they fucked it up putting it on.. but I need to get new lugs for my car, these look fire!
I love how you want your wife to get excited about the car stuff and she's not having it. So funny. I'm a new subscriber, and I'm enjoying the content.
Cameron I noticed you dont have rock guards or mud flaps on your Type R. I have a brand new set of ZL1 rock guards I have no use for, would be happy to give them to you if you want them.
Just want to say man, you’re a big inspiration for me. Couldn’t get a type so I got the next best thing a 2.0T accord hopefully it’ll be cool build just like yours
I did the tail of the dragon in early June and it was perfect temps for a turbo car. In the fall there is a lot of leaves on the road and it rains a lot. It does get cold in the winter so summer tires aren't the best and you will want to have good breaks and a newer set of tires. It's something like 318 curves in 11 miles.
Hey Cam, congrats to you and Vivian on the new blessing! I went to the CivicX+ Wake the Dragon event this year and it was an absolute blast. We will be going back March 31 thru April 2nd and would love to have you join! There were about 100 cars last year, which was the first year they had it post-'rona if I'm not mistaken. Expecting an even bigger crowd this year!
Hey what lug nut size do I need for your civic type r stock rims? Please help, I'm trying to add spacers so I can put the type r rims on my accord. Thanks!
I have lots of topics to cover here. I drive my CTR daily in Central Florida and don't feel the anxiety, but it is probably just me. The lug nut contact shape must match the wheel design. OEM Honda uses the spherical shape while the ones you installed are the conical shape. As long as you used the type the wheel requires, you will be good. The low tire pressure indicators in the CTR don't actually measure pressure. It detects that a tire is low if its wheel rotates faster than the other wheels. Make sure the tire pressures are correct and then go into the setting menu and calibrate the tire pressure system. When the car sits for several days without driving, the brake rotors get a fine layer of rust on them. The next time you drive this additional surface friction will make the brakes feel stickier until the oxidation wears off. I have been going to the Tail of the Dragon annually since 2007, missing only twice due to schedule conflicts. The group I went with was Team-Integra and driving my 2002 RSX-S. There is no longer an official Team-Integra Dragon Run, but a handful of regulars still make the trip near the end of each July though we all have different cars now. The turns on the dragon are really too tight to take advantage of the CTR's capability, so I drive it in comfort mode to reduce the steering effort. Small group night runs are where it's at! To really enjoy the CTR, the Cherohala Skyway is the drive you want. Early on a weekday morning is best for this drive, if you know what I mean. While there, you also have to check out the location of the SCCA hill climb event. This dead end road up the mountain ends at a trail to a scenic lookout. Another road not to miss is the Foothills Parkway which runs from a few mile s north of the dragon to about 8 mile from Pigeon Forge. The next CivicX Wake the Dragon group event is the end of March. Request to join their private Facebook group for details. The CivicX website has an active CTR forum.
Civics+ Wake the Dragon is very well organized and great group of people they do multiple groups beginners, intermediate, fast so you don’t have to worry about Vivian something for everyone.
Tail of the dragon when it is nicer. I really wouldn't advise it as Adam LZ got slammed around a turn by someone driving on the wrong side of the road.
FYI: The Tail of the Dragon (US129) is a state road and is therefore open year round. Of course, if it's snowing heavily, drive at your own peril. Hope to see you up there sometime!
This came on my rotation while I was laying under my girlfriends ST tracing boost leaks from a recent intercooler install. I completely abandoned the work I was supposed to be doing. The Dragon's right in my backyard! Let us know when you plan it, I'm sure I could find several groups here that would want to host you, or at least pay their respects. Shot you a contact email
Glad you got those lugs off. I just got my 2010 Honda civic coupe yesterday and I am loving it!

Classic Hondas on the Dragon?
@@kazm4g I think so yeah, this year I couldnt go but I think thats the one yes.
Those lugs look soooo much better! Love your Type R
I used to run those exact same lug nuts. It matched my CE's very well. I gave it away to a friend when I get another set of lugs
Congrats on the baby! Type R lookin clean!
glad you got it resolved! Much better than those other ones. I recommend the Akebono Ceramic pads.
do they bite better? The Brembo calipers are a modular design likely on various different vehicles so many hi-po pads are likely available.
@@jamesmedina2062 akebono is the standard oem maker for oem car manufacturers. cant go wrong with their pads just wish for high performance ones.
@@CallMeehCaptain I know this. They also make calipers.

Did u rotate the wheels?
Are you planning on getting the new fl5
one day, yes
I like how when you drive by the camera, the subtitle acts like the exhaust spoke and said "foreign." Lol.
Put the lug nut lock in the glove box of the Type R so that its always on the car.
good way for thieves to steal it.
Are you actually thinking about back to Cali?
I want to know more about the BRZ!
