The best way to describe Taeyeon is she is the idol to your idols idol. Without her and the rest of girls generation, we wouldnt have sub units, photo cards in albums, and the meteoric rise of girl groups today.
so so glad you're getting into taeyeon! she was my start into kpop over 10 years ago in snsd and she is still my ult singer everrr her voice is just so cathartic and beautiful it hurts and heals my heart every time ❤🩹 over the course of her solo career she's tried a lot of different sounds so her albums are pretty diverse but her voice makes everything good so she's known as "trust and listen to taeyeon" i recommend diving into her albums (my fav is purpose) or checking out some iconic live performances (Fine @ 's... concert, UR @ butterfly kiss). for snsd i recommend into the new world, genie, gee, the boys, mr mr, lion heart, you think, forever 1 mvs to start 💗
Into the new World is their Debut from 2007 now often used in protests for social change. Gee was their breakout hit in 2009 with 9 consecutive wins only broken 3 years later by Psy's Gangnam Style with 10 consecutive wins. Genie became the highest rated Music Core performance with a rating of 17.2% or 8.6 million viewers on July 18, 2009 where SNSD or Girls Generation performed on a Building, on a Helipad filmed by a Helicopter. The Boys (2011) was their attempt of breaking into the US marked, they performed at Madison Square Garden in New York City. (2014) Some parts of MrMr MV recording was lost so we will never know how it should have looked like. Lion Heart (2015) was the first Album without Jessica, The Album has 3 MV's Lion Heart, Party and You Think. Forever 1 is their latest Album from 2022 and a thank you to the Fans. The Album came 5 years after their last Album Holiday NIght (2017) and a celebration of their 15's anniversary.

Great reaction! As much as I love her Killing Voice it's literally the tip of the iceberg of what she can do vocally. I recommend checking out her Top 12 Emotional Singing video. Some people would say don't do it because it's concert cuts and might spoil her concert performances for you if you're planning on checking them out but I love that it captures the power in her voice. There is also a fancam of Into The Unknown. The concert performance sounds even better than the recording

I think Taeyeon is a perfect singer. She just goes music ahead, doing songs not for her ego. So it takes some time to really find out how absolutely great singer she is. She obviously loves music and is very honest and humble perfectionist in what she's doing. Her versatility is insane: she can sing nearly anything and it will sound great and never the same as her last song was. I'll never get tired of listening to her singing. And her vocal layering in her songs... listen carefully, she's a master.

She always sounds like the recording except that one time when she sang "Holler" with a cold but her voice was husky and still amazing ua-cam.com/video/BrGpJVaDQpA/v-deo.html . What I love about her is the amount of vocal and breath control she has. If you watch other artists try singing her songs, 9/10 they need to change the song a bit because her notes go too long or the vocal sequence is too complex.

How about checking mamamoo killing voice too. They are know for vocal queen as a group. They are just as amazing as Taeyeon. IU too have killing voice. She is also have a great vocal.
IU may be more famous than Taeyeon because she writes a lot of her own songs, and Taeyeon writes very few of hers, but Taeyeon is a better singer.
She started in girl generation and then she went Solo
But she is still in Girls' Generation!
