Don't agree on red label and ballantines. these are scotch whiskies but with rough edges, designed more for mixing in cocktails or soda. Red label is good with crushed ice or soda though. Jameson and J&B are much better scotches for neat drinking

May take some sips of water in between from other water bottle kept in that room without mixing . By the way you've shown ballantines 12 yrs aged which isnt below 3k , on the other hand BD triple gold reserve could be on no 1 if the same is left behind . Thanks for the information Dada ...

Ballentines finest is also my preferred blend on a budget ! From my personal experience, this blend when poured from newly opened bottle tastes best with a very very slight addition of plane room temperature water and when poured from half empty bottle ( not on single day use mind it) tastes awesome when sipped neat. Sitting half empty lets the slightest of ethanol note vanish and the true scotch comes out ! My two cents !
