Grew up in rural Pennsylvania and now living in the Scottish Highlands for 25 years. I'm still aware how quiet it is in comparison -- how, in Pennsylvania, there's nearly nowhere that you don't hear cars or motors, see towers and phone poles. No such thing as "remote." They say that sasquatch are often found along power lines though. No surprise if you see sign of them.
Mr Zeller, one of your more interesting landscapes.Trees with less in the way of leaves actually enable me to see more of the tree.Power lines provide an interesting bit of stark imagery against the sky.A bit of gravel roadway provides contrast. If I may suggest again, use a drone, maybe from the parking lot as your pilot location to show the area from a totally different perspective,it will add much to the panorama.
I closed my eyes and listened to you "crunch" through the leaves, Cliff! I remember as a kid hiking and crunching in Autumn woods. Brought back some nice memories! Thanks!
23:42 Took a minute to figure out the name of the camp. Back in the day it was Penryn Park. However, changed name to Camp Shand. Now goes by YMCA Camp Rocky Creek.
Yes, I love that smell of fallen leaves too. Nothing like it! I call it 'chlorophyll release' (not based on anything scientific, just poetic license)😉. I wonder if those pits were from digging iron ore back in the days of Elizabeth Furnace. Thanks for sharing!
As I was walking through the non profit park in Lakeland Florida (Bonnet Springs Park), I came across two teenagers banging thick sticks against a tree. Of course this was tearing up the bark. I decided to get them to stop it in a fun way. I asked them if they knew anything about Bigfoot/Skunkape. And of course they did. I explained to them that the Foots communicate by knocking on trees. I said that someone in the distance would think that the Foots were about. They said that they would google the subject and they stopped banging the tree. I believe whether it is intentionally or unintentionally things are made more than what they actually are.
Cliff, remember once I mentioned about the FL Skunk Ape? One time I went for a hike in the woods behind our KOA and found a similar structure like you found, as well. And the area really smelled bad. I got out of there fast lol. And becoz my home was by the woods there was a putrid stench in the back yard one day.
Such splendid light bathing your mountains ! It is a joy to walk along with you ,much like a beloved poem that warms the heart.Thank you Have a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
Really great, and so relaxing walk thru the fall leaves...best season ever!!! Thank you...Happy Thanksgiving and may you and your family have a gr8 and Blessed holiday!
13:03 When you mentioned the traffic noise you pointed to your right which should be north. That was confusing because i thought THE PIKE was to the south. Thinking the noise was from US 322.
Fantastic video thanks Cliff. The trees are gorgeous. I’m a bit confused, you said that was a Bigfoot structure now we know you are Bigfoot so you moved house? Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
Really loved this hike. The Bigfoot house was so neat! So was the stone house. Wonder why they don't want loud music? Would it affect the towers? Have a very happy Thanksgiving.❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the great hike. Liked the house. Who defines "loud", one man's loud could be another's "that's just right for listening". I'm not a fan of loud music but if nobody is there to hear it what's the issue? I don't think Bigfoot built that, looks more like a fort 12 to 17 year olds might build. Bigfoot would have built more of a lean-to with a roof of sorts. Happy Thanksgiving Cliff.🦃🍖🍗🍠
Hey Wandering Woodsman ... Did you get my email about you and I covering all of the East Shore of Harrisburg during 1963 of the Civil War when Lee wanted to capture Harrisburg, PA. The north's primary train distribution of Northeren soilders for training, uniforms, gun training,. Etc. - Camp Curtin, The Broad Street market and the Harrisburg civil War museum and more.!
Love this Horseshoe trail series!!
It's hard to believe this is the 30th hike for you on the Horseshoe trail. Thanks for making these videos. And wow, that bicyclist is amazing!
