I almost bought this today, but thought it was too cheap to be good. So bought the one that was twice the price. That one is heavy.
"Do you want a hand taking it to the car?"
"Nah, be fine"
"...fuck, yes, help!!"
hahahahaha, I know that feeling all to well, when I brought the 200 piece Halfords Advance set, I was like "yeah.... okay, try to style this out" lol
Excellent video dude, love the indepth stuff covering all the stuff I wanted to know. Same boat as you looking to organising my tools bit and this video defo helped me with my decision. Thanks for making it.
Your garage is awesome. I wish I had as many tools organised as yours. Great video. Hope to see more
Ahh thats so kind of you, I am pretty fortunate to have the space. Its been through many transformations and some honestly awful messy points but its a good useable space right now 🙏
Cheers for the video dude. Looking to buy this from some birthday money and after watching this vid it's perfect I reckon for my DIY garage.
Cheers dude.
Awesome! Thats the way I like to help, its still going strong for me and I have a second one now too haha. Hope you had a great birthday mate!
Great review. Ordered one. Love the presentation. Great comedic skills. New sub 👍
Thank you Mr GCC will be parting with my money this evening.
Haha I hope you do like it. Let me know once you have it home and set up on your thoughts.
Loved your video 👍👍👍👍👍 Awesome tool box for the money 💰 Well done😎😎😎😎😎
Thanks for the comment. Yep I think for the money you really can't complain much. It's great and I still use it. Got another one to match 😅
I bought one many years ago and some of the drawers jammed after about 10 or 12 years, which surprised me but you get what you pay for.
I would say for the price that's actually really decent returns, if I get 10 years out of mine I would be very happy!
@@mrgcc I wouldn't expect something so simple to fail so quickly as I'm a tight git 😂
Wait... did you just say 10 years is quick?? 🤣
But I do get what you mean. It is a very simple part to fail..
stop sending money on your car and get the 72" sgs tool chest, around 755£but a quality that will outlast you and storage for daaaaays and a nice worktop
something like this will fall apart in 2 years and will be full of tools in no time,
always get a bigger box than you need youll always buy more tools
i'm currently thinking of buying a 2nd one 👌😆
Some ways that is true. I have wanted to look into the SGS tool chests. Seem really well priced
What I like about these is that they are shallow. Not sure if you have seen how I have my garage now but it's all about making as much space to work around cars
Looks good for less than 100 bar, think I might get one. Cheers
yeah it really is good value for money to tidy up the place, its well worth a look into. I picked up a second one haha
Just found your channel for looking for a toolbox seems pretty cool
Hey thanks for the comment. Good luck on the search firstly and I'm glad you liked the channel 👍
Enlightening and entertaining, thank you. How's it faired 2 years on? Also can the bottom cabinet and draws be locked as well as the top?
Thanks👍✌️😊
Haha thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. And still working great I even brought a second one. And both are in use all the time. Sadly the bottom I dont think lock up but its not one that has bothered me much.
@@mrgcc Good to know - thanks👍😊✌️Nice recommendation if you've bought another too👍😊 I need locks throughout, on a budget, so I've gone for the Hilka version🤞🤞🤞😊✌️👍
Hi mate, do you think this would be ok if I put it in an old shed in my back garden? I don’t have a garage and no space in the house. I want to know if everything will go rusty if I put this in my shed 😊
I’d spend the extra money on getting the black bottom box that Halfords sells
@@OliverLMinecraftMachine do you mean the black toolbox?
@@MxHawthy the black one which half the height of this red one
hi bud just brought one where did you find the keys please?
it seems too small and limited even for the home mechanic imo, buy the £500 set that has a roll cab, mid-box and top-box in red or black as a starter toolbox if you don't want to pay Strap-On prices. I'm still using my 26 inch Strap-On roll cab and top box in my home garage i bought 20 years ago when i left school to be a mechanic (cost around £1000 as a combo, but to buy the same combo today you're looking around £3750 new). I left the trade after 4 years as i didn't enjoy the working ethos at main dealers where the big bucks are. In 4 years i didn't accumulate all the tools a master technician would have after 10-15 years and yet i still find my toolbox limited for space even though it far larger than the one in this video so will probably end up bolstering my toolbox with a Halfrauds mid-box and side locker as i'm not paying Strap-On prices.
I think the difference there is between what someone who wants to do a few things and doesn't have a lot of space to physical space for a bigger cab, I needed this size as really any bigger would mean if I bring a car into the garage then I cant open the doors to the cars as comfortably. I wish I could have had the larger roller cabs as that would be amazing!
These are friction draw sliders I guess?
I bought one 10 years ago... it has been well use and abused... only just starting to show problems
Thats very reassuring to know. And hopefully good for others to know too.
Next e30 vid ??
Check my Instagram story mate, I have a sneak peek into what's going on 🙏😊
Soon you need a bigger toolbox.
At the moment I'm okay. But I do think I could do with a bigger one. I would love a massive one but money is the main thing..
Mr GCC Car Builds
The bigger toolbox you buy, the more tools you will find to fill it up 😃
Haha. True..... I have a lot of my stuff hung up around the garage now too lol
You sound like you are speaking from experience

Join the club. I just bought a 72” SGS engineering tool chest. It is just a shame that it didn’t arrive as it should and now I’m trying to sort it out with their customer service which is becoming a pain.
Talks about stripping E30 engine *struggles to open cardboard box*. Dude, stick to Lego.
Lmao, well the engine is out now... so I did get there in the end 🤣
This is why you don’t buy cars from Bradford, it’s these types of ‘garages’ that repairs them 😂😂
which type of "garage" is that? and not sure about Bradford... never been there haha
@@mrgcc a very dodgy one, where they bodge the work and pass mot’s without a test
Im actually a little confused... do you think I do MOT work? 🤔
Just trying to see the link between the halfords tool set and garages are made 😅
@@mrgcc just your accent, you and your tools... old rusty bits and bobs that have missing pieces, also link to a dodgy garage
Rhys .....did your mother never teach you that if you cannot say something nice .... don't say
anything at all !
You are an embarrassment ..
