Next time melt about 2/3 of the chocolate and then take off the heat and pour the final 1/3 unmelted into the melted chocolate and stir until melted. It’s called “Seeding” and it is a quick hack if you don’t have the time or patience (or even the knowledge. It’s SUPER complex to properly temper. You have to heat and cool to very specific temperatures) to properly temper your chocolate. It will give you a MUCH better end product shiny and with a good snap. It won’t be quite as good as if a chocolatier properly tempered the chocolate into its best of the 5 crystalline forms. But it will be like 8/10. Good enough and much better than the fudgy and possibly grainy product it looks like you got. I’m not shit talking. Like I said, chocolate is notoriously difficult and it is basically chemistry. The seeding is just a hack I learned off UA-cam actually. So I’m really just paying it forward 😂
