One of the things that cracked me up in diagonal Mario was the message from Yoshi, saying that he was going to mess with Birdo in a cage instead of saying he was off to save his friends.

Great job with color usage. Pixel art with an extremely limited color palette can be really challenging, but it forces you to get creative and can lead to really good results!
