@@RigbyIsTheMan Don’t blame GEMS; blame the composer. In the right hands, like Tommy Tallarico (Aladdin, Earthworm Jim, Cool Spot), GEMS can create excellent music, but in the wrong hands, it can create the same sounding music that critics complain about.
@@JimHawkwind03411 you're right tho, I didn't realize that back then. Comix Zone was a good example and also The adventures of Batman and Robin were excellent
Ultra impressive sounds for the genesis, easily top 10 of all time, far as overall sound quality is concerned, for this system. Same composer did this, also did the nes version + revenge of the joker, also blaster master for the nes and among others. Top Notch sunsoft sounds here, pushing the genesis to the max. Composer(s): Naoki Kodaka Albert Odyssey(Sega Saturn),Journey to Silius(Nes)
Isn't it ironic that a tune so unmistakably Japanese is part of a Batman game? The first time I heard it (on the Batmobile level) I thought: "WTF, what is this an 80s anime?"
Here's some perspective for you, I own an Xbox Series X and Series S and One S, PS4 and PS3 and PS Vita....and none of them come close to this game, I remember my mega drive and still say to this day its the best console I've ever had, for sentimental reasons, but it still beats everything today. Long live the mega drive and memories every owner and gamer has of that glorious machine! I feel sorry for kids who missed out on that console!
Impressive, cannot believe how good this ost is. one of the best I have heard in my life, pure Genesis goodness and just a retro masterpiece, games nowadays ARE CRAP
I mean you're entitled to your opinion but I wouldn't go as far as saying that games nowadays are crap. Sure there's games that are crap, but that's always been the case. There's games that are great too.
@@marcelosoares7148 lol yeah, I remember this. Yeah, I realized it was from his channel after watching one of his videos sometime after. But thanks for the assist 👍
This guy SegaLordX does only sega video and uses this song. Im like what is this.. it has to be something on Saturn or something.. to hear this on Genesis, just wow
Whatever you've done to increase the quality of the virtual drums, thanks ! I'm hearing a lot more details on how the kick, snare, toms, hi-hat and cymbals are emulated than I ever did before
Wasn't this track based on a real song? Whenever I hear this, there's always some mumbled chorus comes to mind that makes me think that this was based off a real track.
Its so amazing to look at the difference in music quality of games on genesis. Even games with the same character starring in it. Take this game compared to Batman: Forever. It sounds like they were making music on complete different sound chips!
Naoki Kodaka really knew how to make these Genesis tunes sing. Absolute legend.
Woah SEGA fans weren't kidding when they said SEGA Genesis can have some of the best tunes for video games.
Yep, it could produce some awesome tunes in the right hands.
@@Ostnizdasht206 especially if they don't use Gems
but um...look guys look

Luckily, as someone born in the early 2000's, I didn't miss out on the Mega Drive. In fact, over a decade after my dads broke, I bought another one!
Played this game in 1990 and loved this level/track.. even now it still rocks..epic
I remember I used to fail the mission on purpose just to play it over and listen to the music 😂 plus those stages were fun as hell
0:38 best ever
Goosebumps part
I got goosebumps!!!
2024 still like a chiled when i hear it :D
I remember as a child playing this game all the time and the music was so great back then....this is so nostalgic!
My childhood soundtrack
Best tune to shoot some bad guys in a Batmobile.
Incrível !!! O cara é um gênio, fazer uma música dessa com os recursos do mega.
Gotham City Streets (Batmobile)
In the sky over Gotham City

El mejor nivel, la mejor melodia, el mejor juego para sega :D
Ughn! Right in the childhood...

Actually, the Genesis has 2 sound chips (YM2612 & SN76489), and this game is one of the few which uses both actively in its music.
Among the top 10 songs for the Sega Genesis!
Excellent.
Best track in the game.
Turn me out to 25 years ago
That’s really amazing
One of my favorite tracks! Love it!

eu jogava esse jogo quase que diariamente por causa do soundtrack....
Unbelievable 👌👌👌👌👌👌
I still play this game on my pc 😍🔥
Awesome track, still makes me daydream about fighting ninjas and shit.
Why tf does the part at 0:33 sound so familiar!? I must have repeated it like 40 times, It's driving me nuts!

Batmovile RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To me, this tune always did sound like a weird mix between 80s metal and... Camela!? XD
I'm not crazy right? This sounds super close to the Gotham Streets theme for the NES version...right?
badass game music!
This was my favorite track in the whole game
*Finally Found It!!*
I can picture this as the theme for The Dark Knight or The Dark Knight Returns.
Just perfect!
Amo esta música
If in the right hands the Genesis does better music than SNES hands down. But only if the composer is very good.
I got Marvel vs Capcom Opening theme vibes on this one
