@Big Bill O'Reilly HAHAHAHA. That's funny. Chad is just like Tommy Lee; groove drummers. Perfect for their bands. Nothing wrong with that. Go listen to Vinnie on Seven Days. Chad could have played it and it would have been basic, which is fine. Vinnie took the drumming to a different level. Does that mean he didn't "sit in the song," And I said he doesn't make me go WOW. What's to learn?? Nothing. He just doesn't.
@Big Bill O'Reilly not everything has to be WOW. He just doesn't do much for me. Daniel Adair from Nickleback playing instrumental stuff with Dave Martone impresses me more.
@Big Bill O'Reilly You know my type well?? I like mostly rock, fusion and progressive rock. And some jazz. In drummers, I love to see drummers that can do stuff I can't; Weckl, Donati, Sucherman, Greb, Bissonette, Phillips, Lang, Dicenso, S. Smith, Coleman, Mangini to name a few. But I also love guys like Tommy Aldridge and Alex Van Halen; Powerhouse rock drummers. Guys like Chad or Dave Grohl are just blah to me.
