Still can't get over how good their show was. So lucky to have seen them live!

I agree that the Hyper Live experience was in general better than in previous years. Awesome infact. But I didnt appreciate having the meet and greets in the main event meaning I had to buy multiple tickets for different sessions. Also being chucked out between sessions and waiting in line to get back in. I heard that some people waited 2 and a half hours to enter saturday session 2. For a number of reasons as a disabled person it wasn't really a pleasant experience for me. But I wont go into that. If they hold it there again I wont be going. Sorry for all the negatives. I still have some happy memories.

No need to apologise, your points are extremely valid. I’ve heard a lot of people say the same about the Saturday sessions since leaving the event. I was in the press room between the sessions so didn’t see everything outside that was happening. The split sessions on the Saturday is just a bad idea generally, I don’t know of any other events that do it that way. The logistics of making everyone leave to re-queue is so complicated it seems insane. As for the meet and greets, I’d not really thought about it that way. I’d imagine it didn’t work well for the artists either as they probably only got people who saw them at the hyper live shows or were already fans. There wouldn’t have been any random people who caught their show while passing the main stage and then wanted to meet them.
I think overall, it was great to be back, but it was definitely smaller than previous years, but they seemed to have kept the attendance the same so it was far too busy. And while I really liked having the evening concerts, I definitely missed having the short sets throughout the day too, I don’t really see why they couldn’t have done both, I think there would have still been a lot of people who’d have gone to the evening concerts. But ultimately you’re absolutely right, there may have been issues but there were still some good positives and I had a great weekend overall. Thanks for watching and for the comment btw.

@@NerdOD Thank you. I was exclusively there for the music. Namely, Necronomidol, Garuda and Double&. But I would imagine if you were there for the other aspects you would have very few complains. By the way, I really enjoy watching your videos. This was the best review of the event I have seen so far. Hopefully many lessons will be learned from this year.

The music’s a huge part for me too. It was the 7th (I think) time seeing Necroma (including twice in Tokyo), 2nd for 2& and FEMM. That’s probably why I enjoyed the gig style event for the music. But if I wasn’t spending most my time filming I don’t know whether I’d have been able to fill all 3 days without the music in the daytime like I have at previous HJs. I hope they find a good trade off for this next year. And thank you so much, it means a lot. I’m sure we’ve probably crossed paths at a few gigs over the years. Feel free to say hi if you ever see me at a show👍

the concert stage was so small it was offensive to the artists, with thousands of visitors during the day they reduced the event to a 300 people show. Koda Kumi deserved better.

I'm pretty sure the evening events weren't sold out so the stages were likely just about the right size. While there may have been thousands more people there during the day, the stage has always been a similar size every year and I'd say a similar amount of people watch the daytime shows. But also, playing to ticket holders that have chosen to be there is much better than to random con-goers who are just catching a free show.
In regards to someone like Koda Kumi, I'm sure she's used to a MUCH bigger sized venue, but 99.9% of people there don't know that it's her in Blank Paper (and likely 90% don't even know who she is at all). I'm sure that's part of the appeal of the project to megastars such as her and Kenji, they get to play smaller, intimate venues without the usual pressure. As for the other acts, I've seen Necronomidol and Femm on smaller stages in the middle of Tokyo so was pretty good for those and similar acts. I honestly think the live shows were done really well, the only issue being the schedule of the first night which started late and overran by over an hour. But other than that I hope they do it again in the future.

@@NerdOD That is also true but having been to Japan expo too this year the difference was quite jarring. Yes Japan Expo is the biggest Japanese festival in the world but still..Anyway the Pokemon medals were very cute!
