Hello!! I don’t know if you’ll see this, but I’m following both your written pattern as well as your video, and in the written pattern there’s a typo for the rows where you add the hdc dec, you wrote to do 2hdc dec instead of one!

One simple way is to use smaller hook size. Or you can cut off a few rows in each section, that way you can control the width and the length of the tie to your requirements. Omit a row or 2 in the increase section for slimmer width. I hope this helps.

If you wanted the tie to be shorter, one thing I think that you could do is reduce the amount of rows between decrease rows

Hey I was just wondering if I'm using a different hook size and yarn are the measurements gonna be different? Because so far I'm on the second decrease and its getting REALLY long so I'm a bit worried... And I'm doing it as woman's tie so does it differ?

Yes, if the hook size and yarn size differs, the measurements will definitely change. Even same yarn with different hook size will change the measurements.
