Stottlemeyer and Disher arrive to assess the situation, but they’re soon called away to a bigger case. Monk Synopsis: Adrian Monk (Emmy®-winner Tony Shalhoub) was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department's most baffling cases. But after the tragic and still-unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy, the devastated Monk becomes obsessive-compulsive. His psychological disorder has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds... even milk. Monk's condition costs him his job, but he's back as a police consultant despite the unique challenges he encounters in his everyday life. These challenges lead Monk to hire a personal nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), who is always there to offer her assistance, even with the simplest of tasks (like organizing his sock drawer). Her less-than-subtle prodding keeps the "defective detective" on track in his investigations, as well as in his efforts to convince Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) to allow him to return to the force.

I love how Monk's reaction to the card is actually very normal. The card is super annoying but you don't want to destroy it because it was a kind gesture from a nice person and you don't want to hurt their feelings.
I would not care. That card is an abomination.
It was a kind gesture from his daughter, and he especially does not want to hurt *those* feelings.
Monk being annoyed by the card is one of the most entertaining things ever
I'd probably goes apeshit if I had to keep hearing that same tune
A scene for eternity. 🤣
The man wanted to write a last will and testament just because of a card. That…is hilarious.
“Were you trying to muffle it?”
“I was trying to kill it!”
Always gets me 🤣🤣. This episode is one of the best - among the hundred best. Love also the "broken Q". 🥳
I would too.
lol, a 10-year battery, and it doesn't stop playing music once you close it, that's a heck of a card. 😆
Julie and Monk are very best friends. Kids never have a problem with his quirks. That's a very nice thing in the series. 🥰
00:30 Randy’s brilliance strikes again
The way he looks at Julie when she hands the card to him :)
"That's the worse part, getting used to it... You really never get used to it."
While apperant jargon, that is the wisdom of our conscience.
apparent
what an actor Tony is!!! I don't know anyone else who can embody a personality like he does!!!
Watch Mr Monk and The Actor.
He's amazing. The Tony Award is well deserved. And of course all the other trophys. His art is recognized 🥰
04:31 the way he looks at Julie when she hands him the card 😂
Every now and again I come across this channel and binge watch. I miss this show so much. Thank you to whoever uploads these clips for us all.
Zoe Orrell, buy the box set.
You'll thank me later...🙂
It’s on Amazon and peacock I believe
I'm not surprised he got sick. Monk spent most of his life trying to avoid germs, so his immune system didn't really get any practice fighting off germs or viruses. So, when he got one, it must have run amok.
I'll be honest, after about five minutes, the chip in that card would've suffered an unfortunate accident
"Rock 'n' Roll music" ROFL
😅 for Monk every music is Rock'n'Roll.
This episode is on right now as I’m typing this.🤣
Also, I don’t think I could stand that card either.😆 Love that he’s just sitting outside at the end of the episode to avoid listening to it.😂
The card ending up saving the case is the best part
The first time I saw this episode that card song was stuck in my head for weeks 😅😅😅
"It's a cold, I can feel it ..."
"Well, don't panic!"
"I-I'm not panicking, where-where's the ambulance?" 😆
I loved this episode soo much! It really showed how much Monk changes haha
A noisy card is the worst gift to give a sick person. That's what you give to people you hate. It's like giving a person with the flue a itchy wool shirt. (As opposed to nice soft smooth wool, it does exist.)
From a person who is currently sick as a dog.
He didn’t investigate anything from his bed.
Natalie: 99.9
Monk: 😩
Natalie puts thermometer in boiling water: Even 100
Now we know: a fever would make Monk happy.
She didn't hold it in boiling water, she held it up to the lamp bulb that must have been turned off not long ago, cos it was still very warm
One of the few times you can really understand something that bothers monk!
That care is unstoppable
please bring back Monk!!! We love it ❤️
Oh man, when Stottlemyer is in there and has to double bag the tissue.... lol every time
It surprises me how little your subscribers are you deserve atleast a million
I took one of those musical cards, extracted the mechanism and taped it to the bottom of a co-worker's desk with the pull taped to the drawer. Then I hid all her pens.............
I’m surprised that Jim from The Office never thought of that!!! Pure genius!
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!! MR. MONK ROCKS!!
Forget the murderer, arrest Julie for leaving that card in the open position.
to be fair, it didn't turn off even when it was closed so..didn't really matter
A kid fully attentive and not distracted by electronics.. Man I miss the early 2000s..
Reminds me of poirot solving it from his bed lol
Okay this title was completely misleading
That's the funniest thing I've heard in ages. But I got used to it...
That is some tight humidifier action.
Such a great show, and truly missed. What if there was someone who was like Monk in the real world ?!?..
Props to the Foley artists and sound editing on the card in the different locations.
I love Randy
Monk: *”No, no, no! It’s a cold. I can feel it.”*
Stottlemeyer: “Well don’t panic…”
Monk: *”I…I…I’m not panicking. Where’s the ambulance?”*
😂😂😂😂😂 I love this show…
oh man, that was a great place to end teh clip. i love it
The title of this video is all wrong!! Monk did ZERO investigations from bed! He used more time to hide that annoying musical card. The murder was never discussed from his bed.
An American asking for an ambulance? Normally they avoid at all costs getting into one cos it costs them thousands of dollars.
Funny scene, but where was the part where he investigates from bed, like the video title claIms. I swear these Monk video clips are getting seriously sloppy with their editting.
In what universe would anyone ever need to but a battery that lasts that long in a get well card- that kind of technology belongs in pacemakers and smoke alarms, the sort of tech that SHOULD last years, not something that only "needs" to last perhaps an hour maximum continous run time.
It's gotta be 100, because 99.9 isn't good enough!
It isn't an even number.
I have always wondered. He is a Captain but yet he is always out in the field. Most Captains on police forces I know about are usually white shirts in the office.
Nobody
Outranks
The
Coroner.
Rabbi.
I feel exactly like Monk whenever anyone sneezes or coughs near me. Even before COVID I could feel those germs spreading. LOL
Sick person wants to rest his mind. That annoying ear worm music playing in loop... Is so torture to never let mind not plsy in head. If you hate someone really really subtly... That's tge gift you buy and leave beside their bed 😅
This was stupid, Adrian caught a cold. Maybe include him solving the murder for the video!
I like Monk, but the cap is right. They don’t get sick. I don’t get sick anymore and I’m not even a Monk. I just practice somewhat the same mental workout.
Omg! I’m dying about the card!!!!
Kill it! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Ping me when Peacock is Linux friendly, please.
Mr Monk stays in Bed is a YT Pooo title
So no one is annoyed by the way he's using the tissues?
Funny mAn
He's so WASTEFUL!!!
Does anyone ever get use to Randy??
