What an escape sequence. Just two questions. Isn't Wolfram lefthanded and the mauth is on his right hand? And doesn't he automatically die if he is poisend and looses consienceness.
Yes, on both counts. And I thought so too but it’s too late now. Best to not delve too deep though. I fear any retcon at this point. Wolfram might live to fight again!
"Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit..." (Drinking, smoking, etc.) from Airplane. Wow that was pretty tense! Essentially a Fate point was spent so I have no problem with a slight blurring of the rules. A bit like a referee in soccer that initially allows play to continue whilst there is advantage but then brings it back if no real progress is made. I feel like that's what happened with the Fate point; it didn't really turn the tide of battle enough in Wolfram's favour to simply have the attack miss. It's so hard to balance homebrew, especially when there is only a single PC in a situation. RPGs are designed for the players to (usually) work together as a party; if they didn't need each other they wouldn't adventure together. I thought it was a great encounter.
That was closer to death than Wolfram cared to be I'm sure, it was quite Dire.
