Spot on Shiva Varma. Something captivating and mesmerizing yet the down to earth style is what is the secret behind these videos. There is no preaching, no claims of achievement - the humility, the attitude and the calm narration - that creates the hypnotic effect. Magic, pure magic.
You have indescribable dedication! I know how cold Ladakh is in the Winter, and extended camping in those conditions is both insane and admirable! As another traveling photographer, I hope to meet you one day :)
Thanks Jesse. Ladakh was indeed very tough during the winters. Spiti was a cakewalk compared to that. Especially this winter with so little snow around.
It's amazing that you still manage to take clips of you walking by when u are under so much physical and mental strain. I mean having to spend that extra ounce of ur energy to make these beautiful videos speaks a lot about ur dedication.
Saravana, This has been THE BEST episode for me. KIBBER as i saw it a decade ago has always been the most memorable places i traveled. And during winters its beauty has multitude. Hiking and camping in snow leopard territory during peak winters in Ladkah is no easy job. I know you can pull it the way you always do. The last clip of Kibber on the far away distance on the snow capped mountain, shimmering in the light is a brilliant way to show how this terrain looks and how the people live here in the harsh winters. More to see from you buddy!.. Keep going.
Thanks man. This was the most enjoyable hiking experience for me in Spiti this winter. So naturally the episode reflects that as well. And btw, theb village in the last clip is Chicham, not Kibber. Between the 2 villages Chicham is definitely more picturesque but Kibber ends up getting all the tourists due to its popularity.
I would love to live a life like you...Living in harmony with the nature, away from the hustle and bustle! I watched almost all of our videos! keep going...love from BHUTAN!
Thank you Palden. Honestly though, I'm a bit amused by your comment, especially from someone living in Bhutan. It has to be one of the best places in the world to live in harmony with nature. I have been there about 12 years back. Would love visit again, sometime soon.
13:12 - Complete respect brother!!! You could have easily captured the footage and said, Snowleopard spotted.. Already a big big fan of yours, now the respect has grown multiple times!! You are no way less than a Monk!! A monk whose idol of worship is Nature!
I am obsessed with your videos. Have shown your videos to so many people. The passion for your work speaks through its content. It's so satisfying to watch it.
Your hard work and dedication is a pure example of how money literally isn't everything. You're doing this because its your passion. I know how tough it is for you, in all aspects. You're such an inspiration for me sir. Would love to meet you someday :)
That's very true Shesha. True happiness comes from within. You don't need money or even these beautiful surroundings to feel happy. They are all external stimulants and fleeting.
Now this is a channel about real passion and not orchestrated just for the views and likes . I hope this goes far and you get to sustain what you love to do.
It's crazy what you are doing.. one day I would be able to do what you are doing, i really hope. Keep up the amazing work . I appreciate your passion for Himalayas. 😊
Hats off to you bro..you are an inspiration.. 😘😍 keep following your dreams and all the best. Actually I am out of words after seeing your dedication and hardwork in all the videos you make.... Hope to try to camp once like you in my life..
Raw potato and ginger garlic paste , I don't know how many of us have experienced hunger and the will power required to combat it . Thank you for another gem of a travelogue
Made my weekend! 3:46 my fav, keep your chin up and head high 😜. Seriously, it's the passion and fun of any journey that makes it all worthwhile. You are so blessed to spend days of solitude in some of the most beautiful places in the world. Loved it Saravana. Till next time.....
Bro the places u camped.... And the way u describe everything is just awesome... Every time i see ur videos I feel excitements in my mind 😇🥰 great videos,... Keep it up😇😊
Wow.. its amazing. I saw your videos so late. Almost 2 yrs old videos but its so inspiring and amazing... I just can't imagine how can you live in such harsh atmo !!! Bravoooo... Become big fan of you 👍👍❤️❤️
Wonder if I could pick up the cricket on the radio in those mountains. It would be quite something to have a couple of beers 🍺 up there, chatting to these blokes. They must be interested in sport, beer and ... a certain other distraction (guess which!) 🤣🤣
I know this video is pre recorded yet i was praying while watching that u spot a snow leopard and i see it in your video as well you will very soon spot one in the wild all the very best your hard will definitely pay off 😊
You are such an inspiration!! I went breathless after walking uphill every few meters in Langza and that dedication by you to take a few shots of you packing and walking past the camera, climbing uphill, coming back to pick the camera and go uphill again... makes me feel tired even thinking of it in that altitude.
You are so great sir. I want to do same adventure what you are doing with some modifications. I has burning desire to make my life much meaningful, but you know I had fear. Now slowly I am getting confidence on me by watching your videos. Thank you so much.
Hi Bro, I came back from Spiti valley on Monday, I have visited all the places you mentioned and Miraculously found Blue sheep , Ibex and Long Tailed Squirrel. I have been to kazza ,spiti and lahoul multiple times but it was a magnificent experience because this time around i made self to look the things by your eyes. Thank you so much bro.
May be snow leopard is spotting you all the time in his territory, but you are not able to do so. I luckily found your channel and I am happy to watch all your playlists. Bht acha kaam kia h apne. India is full of diversity. 👌
I loved this video!! My personal favorite from your channel is the Todnam video. ( I know it'll change soon 😂). The views in this videos were as amazing as that one. When you went to lookout for the spring, I was rooting for you like a kid. The snow views in the whole video were amazing! I'm a big big fan, and hope to travel like you one day.
Haha, Thanks Vineet. I'm sure that your are on the right path. All the very best for your Pin Parvati trek. I've been thinking of doing it solo as well. Do share your experiences whenever you complete that trek.
Sir, huge respect for you, I happened to be in Spiti Valley this April 2018 the weather is so dramatic and keeps on changing from - 10 to +15 how could you even survive in winters even with all those gears and to just survive on potatoes and 🥕. To much of an adventure. Keep up the good work and do as your heart ♥ follows.
Potatoes and carrots were only for a day or two. I prepared and ate some really good food while camping this year. Just had trouble estimating how much to carry on such trips.
Lots of Love for your videos when i was watching your videos i was feeling that i am living that life i will share your videos because i know people want to see real ladakh 👌👌👌👌
It is an elusive cat for a reason, you are more likely to spot it when you don't seek it. But the hunt for the snow leopard, has taken you to beautiful corners of Spiti that only locals or yaks venture to and wild animals call home. Hope you get to see one this winter though 😊
I'm always optimistic about my chances. So hopefully I'll have better luck in the upcoming winter. I have a few new places in mind, so it should be another interesting experience regardless of whether I get to spot the cat or not.
Awesome video, I am always lost in your videos. I feel like I am just next to you while u narrate the story. I wish I could do the same like you. Believe me you are the luckiest person, who cherish different shades of nature and capture the same for others to enjoy.
You should consider cooking Oats Sir! , They are easy to cook very fast ,fills the stomach and gives fiber , add a few veggies, Masala's and you are good to go , I suggest this because it takes 2 mins to cook & saves a lot of fuel :) Try it sometime and hopefully you can add more days to your travel :)
I did cook a lot of oats during my first 2 month trip around Spiti. It is definitely a good alternative to junk food like Maggi. I mostly used oats to cook my breakfast porridge with oats, poha, Dalia, with other dry fruits and nuts. It is both tasty and nutritious. But recently these days I eat Tsampa for breakfast, so stopped carrying oats. But for lunch and dinner I would prefer something traditional like pulao or rotis. I need to learn to cook using wood fire and even with gobar, that is a better long term solution for me to extend my trips in the mountains.
This is a completely new look of the Greater Himalayas that you framed..The gorge or the canyon look...will be stuck in my mind.. these are dry places I guess? Or its green in summer? May you see what you want to see and make us see more ☺️
The tourists who come to Kibber during the winters are mostly loaded photographers who always get around by cars and hire porters to carry their big heavy lenses.
Thank you. As the cliche goes, it's the journey not the destination. I really enjoy this experience of seeking out to Snow Leopard in the wild. Really don't mind if I don't spot one, just as long as I can keep having experiences like this one.
really feels great to know how you made all these videos...is it like find the location, set the camera, walk, record etc. and then walk all the way back to collect the camera...?
There is a beauty in your videos I can’t explain
Thanks Shiva
I felt the same.Something unique .👍
Spot on Shiva Varma. Something captivating and mesmerizing yet the down to earth style is what is the secret behind these videos. There is no preaching, no claims of achievement - the humility, the attitude and the calm narration - that creates the hypnotic effect. Magic, pure magic.
Hey bro if you happen to come through Baijnath then visit my place also.....
Chadhiar
Your videos transport the viewer directly into the realm of the snow leopard. One can experience reality through your lens.
One man's journey.....for a thousand eyes to see...thanks 😊
I pray for you, may you stay safe and healthy. I can see in your videos the combination of top-notch technique and true love for travel.
i have simply fallen in love with your work!!!!
Everytime I see a static camera with you walking away. All I can think about is you walking the same route twice.
It's amazing that you still manage to take clips of you walking by when u are under so much physical and mental strain. I mean having to spend that extra ounce of ur energy to make these beautiful videos speaks a lot about ur dedication.
Thank you for revealing sights rarely seen to us in the cities...I have not experienced a sense of wonder like this for a long time

Your passion for Ladakh region has bowled me over.really feel i could be in your shoes.god bless you sir.
Kibber - This place is just so untouched and beautiful, especially the emerging stream between the rocky canyon.
13:12 - Complete respect brother!!! You could have easily captured the footage and said, Snowleopard spotted.. Already a big big fan of yours, now the respect has grown multiple times!! You are no way less than a Monk!! A monk whose idol of worship is Nature!
Thanks Mahesh. The comparison to a monk is a bit much though to be honest 🙂

Love the spirit of searching the snow leopard. Keep it on...if I could only do this.
Thanks Jimmy. Searching for the Snow Leopard is just an excuse to be in these places. The real goal is just to enjoy the experience.

Filming myself was hard when carrying the backpack but otherwise it was quite easy actually.
India In Motion how much does your backpack weigh? Just curious. ☺️
Approx 25kgs. I think.
wow! modest amount for hiking in lowlands, yet to experience in high altitudes.
You are so great sir. I want to do same adventure what you are doing with some modifications. I has burning desire to make my life much meaningful, but you know I had fear. Now slowly I am getting confidence on me by watching your videos. Thank you so much.
Mountains are covered with white carpet , it's awesome!!!

Thanks Rajat

Thank you
Naturally aesthetic view of lahul valley . I also want to go for trek with you .
Love from himachal ❤
Sometimes the sceneries look straight from an Indiana Jones film and we anticipate the start of an adventure at every turn.

Beyond words
Thanks Swati. I'm glad you enjoyed all my videos 🙂
you are legend 🙏🙏 hats off
you have to cook row patato in hot ash just after bonfire
then peel of patato took some salt on it(may use other spices) and taste it
try this
Hope National Geographic notices your zeal..
your videos are amazing and inspiring ...wish I could go where u have been .. amazing himalayas
What a great video
This is a completely new look of the Greater Himalayas that you framed..The gorge or the canyon look...will be stuck in my mind.. these are dry places I guess? Or its green in summer? May you see what you want to see and make us see more ☺️
The gorge is definitely dry. But the Talthak meadows would be very green during the summers.
India In Motion are the tourists around here are hard core traveller? Seems these lo actions are mostly for the experienced trekkers..
The tourists who come to Kibber during the winters are mostly loaded photographers who always get around by cars and hire porters to carry their big heavy lenses.
Only channel with zero haters
Hope it stays that way 🙂
This guy is amazing.ill go insane in that situation but nevertheless that footage is worth millions of dollars
I salute your courage
Amazing shots near the gorge.. And dont worry you WILL spot one.. Very soon..best of luck..
Thank you. As the cliche goes, it's the journey not the destination. I really enjoy this experience of seeking out to Snow Leopard in the wild. Really don't mind if I don't spot one, just as long as I can keep having experiences like this one.
I have been watching lot of Spiti valley vlogs on few channels and really appreciate the beauty of the area. But most of the vlogers have a vehicle
Lol, dinner with raw potato and ginger garlic paste. Hats off 2 you.
really feels great to know how you made all these videos...is it like find the location, set the camera, walk, record etc. and then walk all the way back to collect the camera...?
Ek hi to dil hai kitni bar jitonge 🙏❤️
