this used to be one of my favorite songs of his, but since losing my daughter in the 4th month of pregnancy a few years ago i haven't been able to listen to it. this is my first time listening to it since then, and it's like im really feeling the song on a whole new level for the first time. i will be holding my beautiful rainbow baby a little tighter today, thanking my angel daughter for bringing such a beautiful soul to us. thank you so much for this upload ❤
🥺 I'm sorry. My daughter was 22 months old the day her mother decided texting was more important than actually paying attention to the road while she was driving. She had a bad bad wreck and lost our daughter because of it. July 1 will make it 9 yrs ago and I still haven't recovered. Probably never will.
Man...im 35 years old and hearing this song again literally just made me start to cry. It's so beautiful and just makes you want to hold your little ones close to you..amazing what music can do
He always does. At least, that's what really impressed me about him. I've always been more of a hard rock/metal fan. But I love watching skilled people employing their skills. And watching Ed run live loops is a serious skill, even if some people think his music is a bit "formulaic pop". He has a full gig on his UA-cam channel you should check out. Absolutely brilliant.
This is the best part about ed sheeran. He fucked up twice but did not get scared if any other artist would have been in his shoes they would be losing confidence while playing. but Ed made fun of himself and played it again. every budding artist should learn this.
I had a (non musically trained ever) colleague say the same thing. I just said "ok". Lost all respect for her (and I did have quite a bit). I was lucky enough to grow up in a musical family and I admire and respect all musicians. If you think this is talentless then please move on and comment positively on those you do consider to have talent. This isn't the 80s, he's no Milli Vanilli (you probably don't even know the reference!) but ppl don't get to this level without talent. So STFU and move along.
Hope he‘s gonna play this and other old songs more often bc they‘re gold❤
i still have the plus album on repeat
@@nessak1993 oh yeah. Same here
If he starts playing those old songs, will it be like a Gold Rush?
I'll see myself out

@@J.C... so sorry to hear this... did the mother survive? if she did i hope she went to jail for causing the death of your daughter
I am so sorry for your loss and I'm so glad you can now get some comfort from this song. All the love.
Don’t say rainbow baby.
@@J.C... oh no, i am so sorry for your loss! no one should ever have to go through that, sending you warm hugs! ❤️

It makes me so happy to listen to him sing this song in 2023

What a song that is. And it's only at the end you find out. That the baby was lost prematurely. One of his best I think.

Reminds me of James Blunt a bit :)

No most wouldn't.
Absolutely talentless. Musical equivelant of wallpaper. Bland and forgettable.
Boooo!!!

You searched out a pretty obscure Ed video to say this?
We know you're a fan just by the fact that you found this hahahaha
Good troll tho ;)
