felt sorry for David Sullivan and the gold brothers, he had the best intentions for the Blues but with little support locally. Even the media in Birmingham are mostly pro villa and anti Blues, same with the council, Personally i loved Barry Fry but i really feel in hindsight he should have got round a table with David Sullivan and hired someone with more knowledge of transfers. Blues signed way to many players under Barry, indeed they carried on making mistakes when Trevor Francis came in by signing players who were coming to the end of their careers, thankfully they realised and changed this. they then gave steve bruce almost an open cheque book, reaching the premier league twice.. and yet still couldn't change the utmost fortunes of the club in the long run. hopefully with new owners coming in they can build not only for the present but for the longevity of the club.
