Soda ash, or sodium carbonate, is a key ingredient in the production of detergents. It is primarily used as a builder or a water softener in detergent formulations. Builders in detergents help enhance the cleaning efficiency of surfactants by softening the water and allowing the surfactants to work more effectively. In detergent manufacturing, soda ash helps to: 1. Soften water: Hard water contains minerals like calcium and magnesium that can reduce the effectiveness of detergents. Soda ash binds to these minerals, preventing them from interfering with the cleaning process and improving the overall performance of the detergent. 2. Enhance cleaning power: Soda ash helps to boost the effectiveness of surfactants by allowing them to work more efficiently in softer water. This results in better removal of dirt, grease, and stains from fabrics and surfaces. 3. Control pH levels: Soda ash acts as a buffer in detergent formulations, helping to maintain the pH balance of the solution. This is important for ensuring the stability and effectiveness of the detergent throughout its shelf life and during use. 4. Improve solubility: Soda ash aids in the solubility of detergents in water, ensuring that all components of the detergent dissolve properly and distribute evenly during the cleaning process. Overall, soda ash plays a critical role in detergent manufacturing by enhancing the cleaning efficiency of the product and providing various benefits like water softening, pH control, and improved solubility. Its versatility and effectiveness make it a necessary component in many types of detergents, including laundry detergents, dishwashing detergents, and industrial cleaners.

What is the purpose of adding HCL in toilet cleaner and what have u substituted it with or its an additional ingredient I've seen someone asking u why u didnt use it
Hydrochloric acid (HCl) is commonly used in toilet cleaning liquids for its effectiveness in removing mineral deposits, stains, and limescale buildup in toilets. The acidic nature of HCl helps break down these tough deposits, making it easier to clean and disinfect the toilet bowl. Additionally, HCl can help kill germs and bacteria present in the toilet, providing a cleaner and more hygienic environment. However, it's important to use HCl-based products carefully, following safety instructions, to avoid any harmful effects on surfaces or individuals. The formula that I used already contains chemicals like Salphonic Acid, soda ash, coustic soda, sles etc so Adding hydrochloric acid (HCl) this solution can lead to a potentially dangerous chemical reaction. Mixing strong acids like HCl with certain cleaning ingredients can produce toxic fumes, heat, or even explosions. For instance, when HCl reacts with caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), a highly exothermic reaction occurs, releasing heat, steam, and potentially harmful gases. This reaction can be violent and cause splashing or release of toxic fumes, posing serious health and safety risks.
Hello how are you. Thank you for watching. If you watched the whole video I explained that Bermocoll is used as a thickener. To thicken the toilet cleaning liquid
Bermocoll is a type of cellulose ether commonly used in detergent formulations. In detergents, Bermocoll acts as a thickener and stabilizer, helping to control the viscosity and the overall performance of the product. It can improve the stability of the detergent formulation, enhance its appearance, and aid in the dispersion of active ingredients during the washing process. Bermocoll can also help to prevent phase separation and ensure uniform distribution of the detergent components. Overall, Bermocoll plays a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and quality of detergents by contributing to their physical properties and performance characteristics.
