Classified is building momentum. I am a huge 1X fan but recently had to go back to 2X due to lack of gearing options between flats and climbing. I have many wheel sets so hopefully they sell the hub only and cassette as a minimal option buy-in option. I will be in on that! Happy birthday, but where is the whisky flask.

Focus bikes are too heavy

Beautiful bike BUT, my old Focus Cayo Evo with Ultegra Di2 and cheap Ebay China50mm clinchers weighs only 17lbs (7.7kg) with cages, pedals and mount. And I am not even trying to lower weight of my bike. Sad to see how heavy bikes have gotten regardless of the "AERO" advantage. In my 35+ years of riding, I never have seen the bike industry add WEIGHT to a bike and tell people it was an advantage.
Regardless, your overall weight for a complete bike is acceptable, but you need to pay $12k to get it. I paid $2190 shipped new in box for my Focus on closeout years ago. I would need to pay $10k today to get similar spec and weight. CYCLING IS THE NEW GOLF....

Hey i'm not sure I missed something? But changing to 1x for it to be heavier? Asides from 'slightly' reduced maintenance (short term) where's the benefit?!
Haha the goal was not to make it heavier, and even though it looks 1x now, it is still 2x. I guess the weight difference is in the wheels.

Edit: Oh and best way to add some colour to a stealth bike is to swap out the bolts for cages and disk brakes, etc with coloured bolts or the like.

Heck, it's your channel, Jasper Verkuijl's channel and The Vegan Cyclist's channel that made me decide to try and make a video of the big adventure I'm about to embark on next week. First time big solo bikepacking and why start easy? Going from Utrecht to Sault, France. Your video's definitely played a role in how that plan came together. And Mike's kickass Komoot skills... Obviously.

Hey Martijn, can I ask which size of the Izalco do you ride and how tall you are? And which size does Mike ride and how tall he is? I'm 187cm and my leg lenght is 84,5cm and I don't know if I should buy L oder XL... best regards from cologne and nice to see you again =)
Mikey says you’ll probably need an XL, like Roel and Jelmer, mike is 194cm and he rides an XXL

could you or the guys from Focus help me too? I‘m from Stuttgart and can visit them, if they can help or I can pick up the bike directly. I‘m 174cm, leg length 80cm and arm length 58cm. Webshop suggests M (54), but I think S (52) would maybe suit better. Would appreciate your help, cause there is a bike currently available which maybe fits ;-) Thank you very much!
