It’s crazy how many people think “bench guys” aren’t elite at basketball. I tried guarding Jordan McRae (A G Leaguer at the time) at a training camp in DC. And, he looked like Michael Jordan out there 😂
Jordan McRae was a pure scorer though, kind of a poor man's Nick Young. He could've averaged 15-20 ppg on a real bad team if they gave him the green light
Even the guys overseas are tough. I guarded one of the players playing in Greece when he was in college in a pickup game. He made me do the splits and was frying me every play.
Never really understood why people clown Knight for getting dunked on by a center. Same with Jason Terry getting dunked on by LeBron. Is it better to stand aside and watch the other team score than it is to make an effort?
People forget that the last guy on the bench of an NBA team is still miles ahead of the average Joe Schmoe. They still train in the best facilities with the best players in the world. Also friendly reminder that Scal beat a high school kid effortlessly and he didn't even play for 9 years in the league since then.
Man I love JaVale McGee, I always thought he could be an even greater player if he just got more minutes. We saw what he did with the Wizards with 28 mins being the most he ever got, the man was an incredible lob threat and could rebound and defend with the best of them. Plus he just seems like a really chill and humble dude. I also thought Shaq's hate was very unnecessary and felt bad for JaVale
I also thought Shaq's hate was wayyy unnecessary and that Shaq-n-fool segment embarrassed McGee on national tv,which was also seen all over the world too.
Can't deny that he gave Shaq a lot of ammo. I'll never forget the one where he grabbed the board and tried to go coast to coast, threw the ball up at half court and dove into Ty Lawson's knees. Almost tore that man's ACL lmao. I love Javale Mcgee tho. He was nice on 2k. He was always one of my trade targets on Mycareer.
i think javale is not ruined he had multiple championships his even better than guys like barkley, malone & stockton who ended up their career without championships.
Scal parlàyed his notoriety into a fairly successful media career as well. He co-hosts a radio show on sirius and calls boston celtic games. Considering his playing career, I'd say he's done OK being a meme
Brandon Knight got a great contract in Phoenix (or traded there) but never contributed on those horrible horrible teams with Eric Bledsoe/Tyson Chandler I don’t think the Deandre dunk killed his career
Nah for sure, I think I could have done a better job clarifying in the video but I think the dunk (along with a lot of his other on court lowlights) did a lot to discredit him as a player when he was honestly a pretty solid pg! But when you’re on the wrong end of 3 all time lowlights, combined with being in the same draft class as Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson and multiple other all stars, you get the metaphorical short end of the stick whenever we think about your career 😂 I appreciate your comment and support too! 🙏🏿
Javale could’ve and should’ve been a 20 &10 big at the barest minimum a 17 & 10 big. Bro was stupid athletic but his bball iq wasn’t up to par to say the least 😂still a helluva player
None of these players had their careers ruined by jokes. Also if you’re ignoring their actual numbers and contribution, you’re not doing your due diligence as a basketball fan.
Shaq definitely took the joke too far and the moment I realized that was the moment I stopped watching Shaqtin since it was obviously just Shaq trying to get some views off some dude who made several bad plays. It just stopped being funny when one player just kept coming back episode to episode to get featured and be ridiculed.. Javale even called out Shaq on it already and what was the Big Diesel's reaction? Pretty defensive as he always is and thinks he can never do anything wrong in the eyes of the media and thinks he has any right to fight back when it was already completely obvious the whole show was just picking on McGee already. I literally just look at Shaq as a really big kid who had the fortune of becoming a really dominant center, a really good hell of a player but just a really immature adult, if you can even call him that. Shaq is that one kid that loves to makes jokes at anyone's expense but when he is the one getting ridiculed he just starts crying and threatening to solve everything with violence.. The dude's ego is bigger than all of his frame and basketball achievements combined.
Shit u could have added Jordan Poole, Zion, and Tatum. Even tho they’re all young still i feel like they’re the most targeted in basketball memes nowadays
Sht, if being a 3x NBA Champion who's made damn near a hundred million dollars as a career role player makes me a "Joke"..then mfers could laugh at me all they want 🤷♂️
Repeated Targetting???? Javale was the one out there making DUMB ASS plays... no one put a gun to his head and said "hey, try to jump from the freethrow line on a fast break when you dont have a good grip on the ball"
Shaq was always right about mcgee tho.Once he left the warriors he was back to being a scrub again.Everything about javale was true and he got his mom to end the beef. He's an embarrassment to me as a man and human. In my eyes he will always be a scrub.Lastly, how is javale having less rings a rub on shaq's wound??A bubble chip on the lakers as a bench warmer doesnt negate shaq's 3 peat and back to back to back finals mvps.Youre buggin.😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

The talent difference in NBA v amateurs and NFL v amateurs is vast!!. People don't realize that. Everyone in the NBA will beat any amateur.
Yeah they forget even bench players of top one in their region state, all of its all Americans.
@@mheineke1373duhhh. They still had to make a nba rooster to be on the bench
Jordan McRae was a pure scorer though, kind of a poor man's Nick Young.

Yea when I played at ASU (Arizona) I went to the draft combine I realized just how mediocre I was at best
Even the guys overseas are tough. I guarded one of the players playing in Greece when he was in college in a pickup game. He made me do the splits and was frying me every play.
Rubio was drafted in 2009, 5th overall, even through his first game was in 2011.
"Just the clarify this was the NJ Nets, _not_ the Brooklyn Nets. Y'all are still sorry." 💀
I died laughing lol, man they need to go back to East Rutherford smh
Never really understood why people clown Knight for getting dunked on by a center. Same with Jason Terry getting dunked on by LeBron. Is it better to stand aside and watch the other team score than it is to make an effort?
Getting dunked on will always look bad, but the size difference tends to make it worse/funnier.
I think the combination of the helplessness and brutality that gives us an immediate dopamine rush when we see it. At least, that’s what it is for me

No true fan would ever disrespect the White Mamba
javale a beast forreal 💯
3:14 he just threw the ball he did not want to make that layup 😭😭😭

@@rasmusylisirkka814 Right with jaVale skills he could still be playing if Shaq didn’t destroy it.

Javale McGee has more rings than Westbrick, Harden, Paul George, Joel Embitch the MVPity, Jimmy Butler and Carmelo Anthony combined.
russ haters are sad people
And yet you’re nobody and russ is somebody
MVPity?? Who’s that?
That's because he's less valuable than those guys and easier to move from team to team.
How many of those teams he lead
First player I thought you was about to say my guy pat Bev
Great video and clearly well researched and presented. Thank you.
Shaq is a nice guy overall I bet, but he bullied the ish outta that man.
Pistons have championships ….honestly the hornets and wizards are more of an embarrassment franchise
That Pistons line was great 😂😂
dope video, you just got a new sub
Context is everything. Great vid
i think javale is not ruined he had multiple championships his even better than guys like barkley, malone & stockton who ended up their career without championships.
Shaq did JaVale McGee dirty. Honestly made me lose respect for Shaq. Shaqtin a Fool could have been fun, and Shaq ruined it.
I mean the way he treated javale was dirty but shaq did a bunch of good stuff
Man Brandon Knight WAS cold don’t forget
Anytime I played 2k14 Knight and Mayo were my go to when I chose the bucks
How appropriate to show Lebron right as you're saying "the biggest joke in sports."
Scal parlàyed his notoriety into a fairly successful media career as well. He co-hosts a radio show on sirius and calls boston celtic games.
Considering his playing career, I'd say he's done OK being a meme
nice video! what is the name of the song in 1:54 to 9:00?
Knight was one of my favorite players
All you did with the Javale McGee part was make me search his shaqtin highlights😂😂
He does have an all time reel on shaqtin 😂
Brandon Knight got a great contract in Phoenix (or traded there) but never contributed on those horrible horrible teams with Eric Bledsoe/Tyson Chandler I don’t think the Deandre dunk killed his career

Brandon Knight is a pure hooper.
Scal A.K.A. The White Mamba is the GOAT.
JaVale McGee is a monster.
i literally just talked about Brandon Knight yesterday man. he was actually a good player, but he kept doing silly shit.
Brandon Knight was actually not a bad player, the Internet is just a very crude corny place
Javale could’ve and should’ve been a 20 &10 big at the barest minimum a 17 & 10 big. Bro was stupid athletic but his bball iq wasn’t up to par to say the least 😂still a helluva player

This, 100 percent!

Ben Simmons too
Sht, if being a 3x NBA Champion who's made damn near a hundred million dollars as a career role player makes me a "Joke"..then mfers could laugh at me all they want 🤷♂️
How’s you miss pat Bev. Hell of a defender but people think he is a clown
Uh everyone knows Bev is a great defender. We also all know he is actually a clown willing to injure others for a W
Rubio is not same draft class as Knight. Get your research correct
You’re right, but he did make his debut in 2011 putting him in the same roty race as the 2011 class
Yeah he played that first year in Europe I believe maybe same draft as Blake Griffin and Curry
🤓☝
Detroit had to sacrifice the pistons for the lions , beware… all who mock …..
You get a sub from me just because you used “thanks for not snitching” as your background music .
47 games was good enough for a second seed???
McGee was a good player. Shaq did some stupid stuff on the court also
the Hornets are the biggest poverty franchise not the pistons (i'm a hornets fan so sadly i know)
as a Mavs fan Shaq was 10000% right about Javale lmao
Repeated Targetting???? Javale was the one out there making DUMB ASS plays... no one put a gun to his head and said "hey, try to jump from the freethrow line on a fast break when you dont have a good grip on the ball"

L video , wnt get an inch hating on the Pistons newb
Exactly. This video is garbage. And he's definitely a casual talking about the Pistons like that😂🤦🏾♂️
Lol i love the work but ya talk alot fam
