- 2008 Toyota Corolla fog light installation.
Maybe the same installation from 2008 to 2012.
got this said online for around $40 comes with everything you just have to install them.
Not too difficult other than hiding wires. - Ігри
I had done something similar with an aftermarket fog light kit, but after a heavy winter rain, it went bad.
So, I ended up using the factory wiring, relay, and new turn signal stalk that had fog light option.
So far so good. It's been a while after the install with rain and snow etc and no issues. 🤞
This is a sick video, i just wish you showed you doing it
Hey i just found this, nice set up where did you purchase this kit?
Can you show how to run the harness in detail?
I'd love to however I'd have rip the entire harness out and use maybe a GoPro. Start you run from passenger side and tuck the wire into the inner side of the bumper (little channels) then under battery compartment. Next around strut tower and into the firewall gromet closest to driver side door. Lastly connect the wires and place into the switch panel on the dash.
Any extra wire you can either snip and install an new connector OR zip tie and tuck them.
Does anyone know the brightness/lumens of the stock fog light bulbs (halogen) on a Toyota Corolla? (brightness of one bulb) I have found out everything about that buld except how bright it is. I am going to replace the halogens with LED, and want bulbs that are at least twice as bright. Thanks
Not sure, but when I need to change the bulbs I will go LED if possible. As long as they don't need any crazy amount of extra wiring. If you go online and do a search I'm sure it will tell you the lumens of stock bulbs or xxxx k. Hope this helps
I have 2008 LE corolla and tired to install the fog light. I saw what seem to be a set of harness that plug in to a dummy plate terminal on both side about 8 inches near the bumper tow hook. I look at fuse box and there is a blank socket for relay terminal that mark "FOG" with 15A empty fuse terminal next to it. I look at the relay empty terminal and there is no metal inside the female receptical connection hole , I saw a plastic blank hole with no connection contact for the relay on the terminal. I guess I can change the heads light switch on the starling column to the type that has a fog light like what I saw on my 2002 LE model. Not sure this idea is correct.
Maybe the dealer could print the wire schematic out for you or look online for your specific model.
Sounds like there's a solution if you have the blank "Fog" terminal. Fog lights are pretty basic. It's where the switch and relay/fuse come in to play, is where it gets a little tricky.
Power in to the switch and power out to the lights. Don't matter if it's the factory button on the column or an ugly flip toggle drilled in the dash.
I installed this. And everything its plug correctly inside switch comes on only when i got my car key in. And it works. But randomly the other night the fogs lights came on and drain mu battery. I guess it has something to do with the relay. Is there a way i can connect the red hot wire outside to a fuse where only start also whrn my car is on. So i dont have to coneected directly to the battery
where did you pass the cable from the connector to the inside?
Tenias que hacer el vídeo paso a paso cuando lo montabas pero muy bien vídeo es que lo voi a montar y no encuentro vídeo paso a paso no montado montándolos
lo siento, no entiendo tu comentario.
