Maude Lewis Exhibition

On our visit to Nova Scotia we discovered the life and art of Maude Lewis, who lived near Digby. She lived in a tiny house, had a terrible arthritic condition from an early age, but found fame from her simple, but charming paintings. Her painted house was preserved and restored in the Halifax Museum of Art, along with many of her beautiful paintings. There is a dramatic film about her life called 'Maudie', made in 2016.
