    The Mary's watched where Joseph and Nicodemus laid the body of the Lord Jesus. They came back and found no body but the angels who declared that Christ was risen as Lord over sin, death and Satan. The Lord Jesus appeared first to Mary Magdalene, then to the other women, then to those on the road to Emmaus, then to the disciples in the upper room, etc. There is so much proof that the tomb exists, and that Christ's body was no longer in the tomb because He was risen. After that it is totally irrelevant where the tomb of Jesus is or was, but as we know the Roman Catholic church and others have made it a money making racket for people to visit what they 'think' is the tomb. It is where Christ is now that matters. He is seated at the right hand of the throne of God, everliving to make intercession for us in Heaven.

    The usage of the Gospels as texts of evidence regarding his family’s names but not the Christian belief in a bodily resurrection is absurd. The resurrection of Jesus is not just a theological claim. It is a historical claim. If Jesus did not rise from the dead, the Christian faith is false. Paul says as much in his own writings.

    An old claim typical of fundamentalist protestants, the alleged "brothers" of Christ are not blood brothers... a careful analysis of the gospels show this clearly, beginning with the fact that Jesus in the Cross leave the care of His mother to the apostle John.

      The Greek word in the text literally refers to a male sibling.

    • @IRISHBee4
      @IRISHBee4 5 місяців тому

      @@TenOnReligionIt is not limited to make sibling and is used in the Old Testament to describe Abraham and Lot who were uncle and nephew. Just because it is the most common usage does not mean it is the only meaning.

      At the time of the Lord's death, the natural brothers and sisters did not believe that He was the Christ, the Son of the Living God, so that is why Jesus put His mother in the care of John, the disciple that was closest to the Lord Jesus and who believed in Him. Later on, however, it is clear that at least some of them believed after the resurrection and appearing of Jesus. James was one of His natural brothers, and was head of the first Christian church in Jerusalem and wrote the epistle of James.

    "0" on religion to this biased and deceiving channel. How do you argue with a person with a pagan and sadducee mindset, obsessed with Christ but not to admire and join Him but to destroy Him (if he could)?

      This is only one episode on Tabor's theory. I'm not sure why Tabor should be considered a pagan or a Sadducee since neither exist in our contemporary world from the Ancient Near East era. How is the channel biased and deceiving? There are more than 50 episodes on a range of topics in religion and philosophy.

    Too many assumptions... I don't buy it! Very convenient for guys like Tabor and similar biased 'scholars'.

      There are a lot of assumptions. Tabor himself has only suggested that more historical and archeological research be done because it should be considered a site of interest.
