As a Veteran I salute this. 🇺🇸
Thank all 3 of You, and EVERY Veteran for Serving our Country of the United States of America.
I am a Navy Veteran Myself.
As an American citizen who did not have the privilege of serving in the military but in other ways. I salute these brave men and those gave made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Thank you all.
As a retired soldier I salute these brave men, and all these incredible men and women who sacrificed their lives for the USA.
I’m a Canadian and I couldn’t agree more with you 🇺🇸❤️🇨🇦
So without being a soldier you wouldn't?
I'm not a US citizen but I think the idea/meaning is universal for every nation honoring their fallen: three men, who probably went through hell and back, now honoring those unknown soldiers that died for their country - that's incredibly touching.
Thank You
A touching comment my friend. The other sobering thing about the unknown soldiers is that they not only gave their very lives, but their IDENTITIES as well.
May God bless them for eternity and give their families comfort.
As a retired Army soldier who served 26 1/2 yrs in the service I found this very moving.
I could Not repay them enough for their service and sacrifice for our country. Forgive me !
Solemn, dignified, and precise. A fitting tribute to those that gave all.
I am an American and PROUD OF IT!❤️🇺🇸
We who are free need to remember what others have done for us so we will remain free. There are not enough thanks in the world that can possibly go out to those who have protected Us! May they always reman in the care of God for their service to us. God bless and thank you.
PERFECT
Dennis Kjolso USAF 1963 - 1967. I had the privilege to be here April 24, 2023 as one of 58 veterans who
were part of the Puget Sound Honor Flight to come to Wash. D.C. to visit all the memorials to all branches
of the military. What a wonderful weekend.
Air Force vet here, 1962-1965. I took the same Puget Sound Honor Flight in October 2023.
On our return to Seattle we were greeted by hundreds of people with signs welcoming us home,
and thanking us for our services. Girl Scouts stood in perfect little lines, and Scottish pipers
piped us home.
A remarkable memory, and thanks to the kind people at Puget Sound Honor Flights
for making an old vet feel special for a few days.

Thank you to all that have served, and made the ultimate sacrifice.

I love God, I love my country and I love apple pie.*
Battle Colors are so awesome! Sometimes we poke fun at The Air Force - but they and predecessor The Army Air Corps were/are brave!
Great job playing taps. The best I've ever heard.
First and foremost thank you for your service. Why oh why is this not on the news today its because of idiots in charge of this country and the media that they deem it not news worthy. This is why the country is in the shape it's in. We so easily forget the sacrifice that brought us to the point of being free. We need to get back to basic morals and beliefs to make this country what it should be again and not to squander the memory of all of those who gave everything they had to the way our society is today. May GOD bless their souls.
We need to remember those who have fallen and the sacrifice they made for the Republic. This is an example of honor and respect that needs to be shared and relearned by our countrymen.
Yeah. 91% tax rate on the rich. Like in the 1950's. It's down to just under 25%.
Excellent job gents....!
During the re dedication of the ARC LIGHT memorial, the had placed three (3) bulge players out in the field surrounding the B-62. They each started playing "TAPs" about a half stanza behind each other. IT WAS BY FAR THE HUMBLING AND ERIE event I was ever apart of.
B-52 D - F - G and H have seen combat. The H mode is still active.
@@earlsmall9808 It was a "D" model that had too much corrosion to fly again. And no, I did serve but right after the end of the Vietnam War.
echo taps... as a former Marine trumpeter (5541), it's even stranger when you play it... humbling.
Bugler and echo. I played lead on that one Memorial day. The echo has the harder part. They have to mimic any mistake the lead might make.
I am a retired U.S. Marine and I salute these brave men and women who have served our great nation. God Bless! Semper Fi!
and Semper Fortis Brother!
@@cynglo100Semper Fidelis, not Semper Fortis....
I'm Vietnam era Navy, SEMPER FORTIS!
Godspeed
Thanks for sharing this. I have never been to one of these. But i have been to the tomb. It is total silence. Also, some people have no resepct for the athem. Hint the guy with his hat on the whole time.
A lot of spectators showed no respect to the Flag when the National Anthem was being played and also when Taps was being played. Total disgrace considering the ceremony was very solemn. Very well done.
SALUTE !
As I watch this I cannot help but think of the 4 friends who had that mournful tune played at there graves as they were lowered into to the ground and I brings tears to my eyes. and I'm deeply ashamed that i only remember that i only remember the rates of all four.
Peace be with you.
I cannot listen to taps without crying!
This is why we are free!! God bless men and women of our armed forces and God bless America.
We also need to honor AlL of our military veteran including all ALL of of them the s that still living and the ones who gave their lives for this NATION and FREEDOM
Even those Mia s and all those in mortuary s including those still lying in mortuary s
minhas continência aos guerreiros
Can anyone herein tell me who these three MOH names are? In June 2018 for two days, I was honored to assist MOH Vietnam Army Veteran Ret. Major James Allen Taylor on Coast Guard Island in Alameda for the Valore Games. What a remarkable and kind man. I would very much like to know who these three MOH recipients are. Thank you to anyone who can write me an answer. GOD BLESS ALL - MARANATHA < from mom of US Coast Guard veteran, only child, son. Daughter of WW2 Army dad & uncles.
Check out the official link of the ceremony below in the comments. Apparently, there were more than 3 MOH recipient’s at the ceremony.
Check out the link from ANC below.
"Can anyone herein tell me who these three MOH names are?"
The *three Unknowns* buried at the Tomb of the Unknown Solder were each, posthumously, given the Medal of Honor.
Even the President must salute them first.
Only situation where this occurs.
Do we have the same respect and honor for our Southern Americans who died serving the Confederacy?
I see the honor guard are using rifles the Unknown Soldier might cave carried, the ‘03.
Wow. . . .I live nearby and visit the Tomb often and I've seen wreath laying BUT NOT LIKE THIS. . .. . .Did you know of the wreath laying before your visit or were you just "lucky" (no disrespect intended (!)) to be there when it occurred. Also, were the MoH recipients identified?
Since my dad passed away TAPS always gives me pause. . .
🧑✈
My wife and I just happened to be there. There is a link below from ANC that has more information of those attending. Apparently there were more than three MOH recipients.
It makes me cry!
Thanks is not enough .
Sir, Tomb of unknown soldier is in Arlington..?
I wonder if other countries have a tomb of the unknown soldiers
Good question, I visited the Normandy American cemetery just before the 50th anniversary of D Day. Americans have died for freedom all over the world. I wonder how many American cemeteries are on foreign soil?

This is a link for ANC official post of this event.
Why, when the Colors went by, didnt anyone have their hand on their heart?😢 😢😢 very telling
People have lost these traditions, never taught to them.
It's
Who were the Three?
I asked at the entrance to Arlington and the information desk didn’t know. It looked like they may have been from different wars because of their age. God bless this guys.
Leroy Petry USA was one of them. Hails from Santa Fe, NM . He was wearing a (blue/gray) suit. (Afghanistan)
Buckingham Palace Guards have nothing on us. Bravo.
Well, they have horses. 😁
Audie Murphy grave is just off the edge of this platform. The most decerated soldier in WW2.
To those who witnessed this event and chose to take a video rather than place their right hand over their heart--SHAME ON YOU!! I served for 30 years in the US military and in my first 2 years served as a funeral detail officer rendering military honors for deceased veterans throughout the state where I was stationed. It hurts my heart to see people show such disrespect for our fallen countrymen. This was a very sad video for me, not so much for the fallen who, I believe by God's grace rest in peace and glory, but more for those who don't understand how to show proper respect.
Thanks for your service. Just wanted to share what I thought was an awesome event. I held the camera with my left hand. I am a combat veteran and by no means meant any disrespect.
Absolutely show respect for the fallen. Being professional in the Military is a core value.
Are you attempting to shame all of those in uniform? Most of them did not have their right hand over their heart!!
@@rayreid1589 No you don’t understand. To present arms in uniform the hand salute is given or your weapon is in front of you. If not in uniform then you should put right hand over your heart while the National Anthem and taps is played. I thought people should see the deep respect and tradition that is followed by those in uniform. It is a stark contrast to those rioters who tried to tear down monuments just across the river from Arlington. At President Kennedy’s grave there is quotes from his speeches most notable, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” We need more of that kind of attitude.
@@rayreid1589 They were carrying a weapon and at port arms or order arms, that is the proper thing to do. You must have served in somewhere other than the USA.
For the family of the fallen and the entombment of the unknown, has the prospect of dna testing been considered?
The Vietnam Unknown was identified and removed in 1998. It was determined it would be virtually impossible to identify the WWI, WWII and Korean War Unknowns. They will continue to rest in peace.
@@tommyodonnell9 there are still offspring of those WW2 and Korean vets..,how are you confident of your answer?
@@Zooboo1 I am very confident. More importantly, the DPAA is certain of it.
@@Zooboo1 A mDNA analyses of the Unknowns could identify the gender, race, national origin, and possibly the height and eye color.
However, no DNA analysis could produce a definitive forensic identification.
If this does not move you, you can go and live in another country.
...to hell and back....
Military deaths vs. USA Street Violence.
USA streets Shooting deaths year 2021 = 21,953.
Total Military deaths year 2021=1009.
Year 2020=1017, year 2019=893, year 2018=918 ...get the point?! Your safer in a Military War Zone.Enforce the Draft !!!The only way to get the government to respect us injured and our dead warriors is for everyone to have skin in the game. Enforce the "Draft"...ever Warrior standing above ground today, take note. Let's stop trying to convince others and ourselves of how Patriotic our pass and present commitment to military members' service means to us. We do all future injured warriors injustice by continuing to support the volunteer military. The Conscription (also called the draft in the United States) is the state-mandated enlistment of people in a national service, mainly a military service. Should be enforced! The lie about our freedoms is under attack, so let's go to war for 20 years is a lie, half lie, and a lie with context. Yes, remember that big scary enemy called the "Taliban." Well, that's a war we lost. Tell me what freedoms have we Americans lost to the Taliban sense we were defeated in Afghanistan "NONE," but we have lost freedoms enforced by other Americans. For example, We have open borders, no freedom of speech and media, no freedom of movement, no fair and free elections, no one man one vote, no separation of powers the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government are corrupted by Deep State bad actors. So, to summarize, stop saying thank you for your service, your injuries, and our freedom. Say I'm sorry you were cheated and lied to and that all the injuries and death were for monetary profits. Never again, and never will we forget. America has lost many wars! Yes, the US was unable to get any significant victory in its wars abroad. America fought five major wars after 1945, including Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Iraq, and Afghanistan, in addition to some minor wars in Somalia, Yemen, and Libya. Except for the Gulf War in 1991, America lost all other wars. “The war is not meant to be won. It is meant to be continuous."
ONE NATION UNDER GOD, AMEN
Have seen Presidents speak there but seeing this would far outweigh that. Been there many times and to other National Cemeteries. None have the reverence of Arlington. Hopefully those who were privileged to see this in person understand, or do so later, the significance and rarity of having three MOH recipients there.
My husband stood at many funerals for veterans and Memorial Day salutes. I’m glad he’s dead and not having to see what’s going on now.
