Trae Young is top 5! Take away the media narrative, and just watch the game and you can clearly see there are only a few players that effect the game the way he does.
Im really optimistic with the cavs for the next years to come. even if they get rid of Sexton or something. They have a good defense with their frontcourt and having Garland secures a lot for them
People say trade Sexton but I think they needed him this game. Nobody knew how to score the last few minutes. Also Kevon Love was wide open on the last play for 3
If John Collins and Clint Capela were both healthy, I would absolutely give the Hawks a 50% chance of beating the Heat in this series. Unfortunately, this is not the case, so I think the Heat would beat them in six.
I would give Atlanta a better than 60% chance if they had Capela and Collins. In the playoffs, Trae Young has proven to be a rare type of closer in big moments Miami doesn't have that guy. Without Capela and Collins, I give the Hawks a 35% chance of winning the series. Miami should handle business, they are a very deep team with playoff experience.
“Jimmy Butler not a closer?” “Tyler Herro not a closer?” No they’re literally not. Jimmy has terrible clutch minutes and Herro gets taken advantage of when it matters
Jimmy is def not a closer but ive watched every heat game pretty much this season. Herro had a bad season last year but hes become a closer this year. Hes pretty much the only player we got that can create their own shot from anywhere. Lowry can kind of do it but not every night
I love Jared Allen's look and game. It's like watching the NBA in the eighties but with today's athleticism. and Kenny looking like an east coast college professor.
Cavs coach was too stubborn, kept 3 7footers out there. Allowed Trey to play iso against one of them with a basic screen. Asking a 7footer to guard Trey is unreasonable and dumb. Why wasn't Garland guarding Trey?
Totally agree with Chuck at 8:10 about The Bubble being overrated. I remember in '99(?) when the Knicks and Spurs faced off in the "strike shortened season" and to this day ots called "the strike shortened season." It always has that asterisk. How much more, then, should a championship in The Bubble, for all the reasons Barkley names, be taken with the grain of salt? Especially looking at them now, the Lakers' Anthony Davis trade backfired.
i disagree with Chuck's and many others bubble take...what i saw was straight basketball with no distractions...the games were intense and the players were more focused because that's all they had..BASKETBALL...THE CREAM ALWAYS RISES TO THE TOP.......i saw amazing stuff..i can't forget the move that Murray put on the Lakers...if that was outside the bubble..people would have talking about that play for awhile..i think many people outside the bubble were preoccupied with COVID..many didn't pay attention..still a poor excuse to oisult those who played..it was more like a NCAA tournament atmosphere without the fans. GREAT BASKETBALL!!
Elite sports is abt the pressure makes diamonds . The fans , travellin , battlin exhaustation , home court advantage all those are variable in elite sports
As a Hawks fan, I love this. Because it exposes people like Barkley, who really don't watch the Hawks. Shaq at least watches Trae and knows what he can do. But the rest of the cast don't watch the Hawks and really evaluate the team like they should. We Hawks fans know that Oneyka Okongwu is offensively BETTER than Capela, and has a chance to really do damage vs the Heat. And his defensive energy has be great all year. The Hawks definitely steal one of the first 2 games in Miami. We have enough shooting to beat the Heat in Game 1 or 2, and Okongwu might be an UPGRADE over Capela.
Im the biggest Trae fan but without his two best lob threats and shot blockers it’s gonna be the toughest battle of his career I have faith but no shame in losing the way these injuries played out
I don’t agree he’s an upgrade but he is more of a match versus the heat. Capela healthy with OO does wonders versus this team. And Collins is itching to play
3:05 yep, I keep hearing there are all these players who can guard 1-4 now, but when you watch a game, it's all about exploiting mismatches on the switch.
He didn’t lol I remember everybody talks about game 5 but Bron had 40 in that and they lost because Danny bricked and Jimmy had a nice triple double but come game 6 Jimmy disappeared played 45 minutes and basically did nothing while LeBron had the triple double and the Lakers ran away with it
@@JackSaiyanXI yeah the one thing i hate about the downplay of the bubble is that the take it out on the Heat and Lakers like they're begged Adam Silver to put them in the Finals while everyone else not stand a chance. Unpopular opinion the 2020 Bubble was better than last years playoffs outside of Nets vs Bucks, Suns vs Clippers, and maybe a couple of games in the Finals.
I absolutely hate the play in tournament I don’t want to see a 10 seed get demolished by a 1 seed because they had 2 good games against a 7-8 seed team
If you think the Hawks who were a 9th seed, but could have easily been an 8th or 7th seed heading into the last week of the regular season are getting smashed you don't know basketball. Hawks and Nets both have good chances to advance against higher seeds, Hawks would have had a great chance with Capela and John Collins.
I just don’t understand how you underestimate the Hawks. Offensively they can hang with the best. I think they are able to get timely stops. Most importantly they have a grit that allows them to find ways to win when they are not at their best. Even with them missing key players I don’t think you can count them out.
Chuck discrediting the bubble for being overrated but lists variables that would make the game much more skill and preparation based. Turrible argument.
Frustrating for Cavs fans. Caris LeVert stagnating the ball, playing ISO way too much. Kevin Love only played 10 minutes, having only played the last seconds of the second half. Rondo played 15 mins all of a sudden? No rotations in for Okoro, Cedi, Lamar Stevens. Hawks taking advantage of Cavs terrible defensive switches. Reckless turnovers.
Great season as a whole for Cleveland I thought. Garland and Mobley showed they have elite big 2 potential. Hopefully they hit in the draft this summer. All they really have to do is wait for their two franchise guys to develop and build a nice roster around them. And maybe keep Lebron away unless he agrees to simply progress what they're doing instead of tearing it down and rebuilding it.
My question is always if the bubble is to be so discredited, then why didn't anybody else step up to take advantage? Everybody had the same advantages and disadvantages.
If you hoop in an empty gym and then in a gym full of fans it’s different. Then you mix in all the other stuff like travel, 82 game season and how your body responds mentally and physically it’s def different. Which is why the lakers won with a rested Lebron and Anthony “Street Clothes” Davis both healthy and rested and ready to play hard for 8 games then a postseason run. They earned that title and congrats to the Lakers but you can’t compare it to ANY other title for sure.
Jimmy butler was a closer in the bubble, he played great, but I do agree with Charles that was an anomaly. I don't think he was saying Butler can't close games, what he was really saying is there is another level of great closers like Durant, Trae Young, Giannis and Miami doesn't have that.

Shame Cavs had so many injuries during this season. I really liked their lineup of Rubio,Garland,Mobley,Markkanen and Allen and K Love of the bench :(
Hawks have been heavily injured all season and still are.
@@Jon155mt and last year as well.
Lol and there best center went out. They couldve won this game we game them a lob and they missed it
Trae Young is top 5! Take away the media narrative, and just watch the game and you can clearly see there are only a few players that effect the game the way he does.
Lebron, Giannis, Durant, Curry, Luka... who are you taking off?
@@GOAT_1107 exactly… embiid, jokic
He's a star but stop it. He ain't even top 10 in the east. 😂😂
He is better than Luka

that Atlanta Cleveland game was nice. I seriously love the playin tournament

Shoutout to that 🤡 Mike Greenburg at ESPN saying Garland was the best player on the court
lol Darius was brickin hard
Were the Inside Crew on after the game? I didn't know they'd cover these games bc they were on ESPN.
Im really optimistic with the cavs for the next years to come. even if they get rid of Sexton or something. They have a good defense with their frontcourt and having Garland secures a lot for them
they would be insane to lose sexton he’s a much better defender then garland and just as good a scorer
I’d like to see them trade sexton for josh hart and a first or something like that
I think Garland is a more versatile playmaker, the defense can be offset but the synergy... that I believe is more relevant
People say trade Sexton but I think they needed him this game. Nobody knew how to score the last few minutes. Also Kevon Love was wide open on the last play for 3
You're right they needed Sexton, but if the Hawks had Clint and Collins, the Hawks still would have won
@@MrMJ49ATL Clint got injured and the Cavs was up by 10 by then
@@MrMJ49ATL nah cavs win by 7 Saxton has 40pts easily
If John Collins and Clint Capela were both healthy, I would absolutely give the Hawks a 50% chance of beating the Heat in this series. Unfortunately, this is not the case, so I think the Heat would beat them in six.
You mean in 4 or 5 games
@@hrs1414 Herro is a closer on half the court, the problem is he gets blasted on the other end. He’s like a half closer
I don't understand why Cavs stopped going inside. Great back and forth game.
Because they're young and inexperienced. Pretty simple.
@@Kingeptacon The coach can coach them in those moments though.
When Atlanta sticks to the pick and roll with Trae Young handling the ball they are hard to beat.
Young is a beast in the playoffs, he just needs a better team
He needs to have collins and capela both
Could meet Milwaukee in ecf again with those two in the lineup
Chuck did a lot of dribbling at the end lol
Totally agree with Chuck at 8:10 about The Bubble being overrated.
I remember in '99(?) when the Knicks and Spurs faced off in the "strike shortened season" and to this day ots called "the strike shortened season." It always has that asterisk. How much more, then, should a championship in The Bubble, for all the reasons Barkley names, be taken with the grain of salt?
Especially looking at them now, the Lakers' Anthony Davis trade backfired.
I said since the PLAY IN started..
Most dangerous player in the PLAY IN 🥶🧊
i disagree with Chuck's and many others bubble take...what i saw was straight basketball with no distractions...the games were intense and the players were more focused because that's all they had..BASKETBALL...THE CREAM ALWAYS RISES TO THE TOP.......i saw amazing stuff..i can't forget the move that Murray put on the Lakers...if that was outside the bubble..people would have talking about that play for awhile..i think many people outside the bubble were preoccupied with COVID..many didn't pay attention..still a poor excuse to oisult those who played..it was more like a NCAA tournament atmosphere without the fans. GREAT BASKETBALL!!
Elite sports is abt the pressure makes diamonds . The fans , travellin , battlin exhaustation , home court advantage all those are variable in elite sports
Yeah a worldwide pandemic that's lasted 2 full years is a bad excuse to be distracted and not paying full attention to basketball I guess
@@lukegoh7626 i said during the bubble, that was not top priority for most people who were dealing with love ones affected.
Trae Young is must see tv.
No.
Good season but I'm sad for the ending for my Cavs
Future is bright Hawks in the play in next season playing magic while cavs on the playoffs
38 and 9 chuck lol do love him!!
can yall stop comparing trae to Luka we aint stat guys we playoff guys
Trae the Truth
He reminds me of the Answer
No chance…. I guess you’re gonna ignore all the previous matches… Heat in 5
Let's hope so

Trae is the best player in the hawks vs heat series. If he plays like it, the hawks have a chance
He's the only reason why they won't get swept. Heat in 6 or 7 tho due to all the Hawks injuries

Chuck talking like Jimmy wasnt outplaying Bron in the Finals 😭😭
He didn’t lol I remember everybody talks about game 5 but Bron had 40 in that and they lost because Danny bricked and Jimmy had a nice triple double but come game 6 Jimmy disappeared played 45 minutes and basically did nothing while LeBron had the triple double and the Lakers ran away with it

Lol these casuals wanna hate on the bubble so much but it was just pure basketball 😂
@@JackSaiyanXI yeah the one thing i hate about the downplay of the bubble is that the take it out on the Heat and Lakers like they're begged Adam Silver to put them in the Finals while everyone else not stand a chance. jimmy attitude is trash most overrated player in the game
3:27 markonnen looking like RED from Friday after he got robbed from Deebo 😂😂😂
I absolutely hate the play in tournament I don’t want to see a 10 seed get demolished by a 1 seed because they had 2 good games against a 7-8 seed team
If you think the Hawks who were a 9th seed, but could have easily been an 8th or 7th seed heading into the last week of the regular season are getting smashed you don't know basketball. Hawks and Nets both have good chances to advance against higher seeds, Hawks would have had a great chance with Capela and John Collins.
Just curious, where do playin stats go, regular season or playoffs? 😬🤔
I aint a big NBA fan, not even watching the highlights frequently but I cant miss these clips, no way!
Thank you Chuck for echoing my sentiment. All those championships in the pandemic/bubble should have an asterisk.
The bubble was pure basketball every team had the same advantages & disadvantages
Bubble with no travel and fans.
Ain’t the same
Gardener and LeVert are nice building blocks for the future.....good job cavs....👍🏾

Hawks swept first round. Gotta love it
Charles saying he doesn't think Jimmy is a closer when he literally outplayed LeBron in the finals lol
No he didn’t
Jimmy butler was a closer in the bubble, he played great, but I do agree with Charles that was an anomaly. I don't think he was saying Butler can't close games, what he was really saying is there is another level of great closers like Durant, Trae Young, Giannis and Miami doesn't have that.
He played great in the finals but Lebron averaged a 30 12 and 9 on 60% from the field and 41% from 3. Jimmy didn’t outplay him. If he did then the heat would’ve won the finals lol
