I've always loved going TC first when playing Orc. However, I'm just a Gold Ranked player so I understand that timings can make it not optimal for high level
This TC strat beats me too - but I'm 5500 MMR. I know I don't harrass enough, just not my style. The guy sending this in probably has a similar playstyle, needs to scout more early and when he sees TC he needs to adjust. Too greedy and too focused on himself early game. Early harrass, tier one/two all in timing, lv 3 hero
I get this is an innocuous youtube video about a professional gamer having fun for his viewers, but holy crap if this doesn't add fuel to the fire that social media gives way too many downright artarded people a voice that they do not deserve to voice brain dead opinions.
Unholy Ghouls are also at unit speed cap, so I don't see how outrunning them is a possibility. If they add NecroWagon with Ghouls, I don't see how you're gonna win. After all, no base defense beats siege units.
How well does TC HH do? Delayed barracks, early War Mill, play it like DK-fiends except without healing, a slower hero (without boots, but you get boots anyways), and stomp? Much weaker, I guess, since the healing is gone, TC is too slow, and Orc doesn't have creeping helpers like AoW, militia, or ghouls / rod. Maybe try a forward burrow instead? Ugh.
I am UNCONVINCED that TC first IS NOT OP. The commenter CLEARLY SAID use TC to be in opponents base KILLING his DOODS, not trying to creep. I saw no TC in opponents base KILLING his DOODS.
Opponent sees TC first with shockwave -> Tower rushes. I don't understand this decision... Yes, TC is kind of strong but going for a headhunter/tower rush with firelord vs Shockwave (Which can kill buildings), just seems like a big throw. Just do something normal and stop the TC from creeping with your stronger early game and snowball that advantage. Trying to tower rush is feeding the TC XP and obviously won't work against shockwave. -> game 2 of the opponent playing normally with SH first showing exactly why TC first is bad.
I'd love to play some Warcraft 3 but after the reforged version they removed the possibility to use old polish localization which is the reason I love the game so much. It was excellent. The new one is garbage and it's mandatory even if you don't own reforged.
TC first does not mean TC only. I have yet to see Grubby mass mana potions on nuke heroes and blast the whole enemy army with the nukes. TC, FS, Naga... Quite powerful nukes.
I have a terrible strategy idea. Can players create significantly more workers than necessary, farm all the lumber they need for the entire game, and then kill them off to free supply? Im thinking along the lines of Starcraft, where workers are continuously produced. May work best with Militia, Ghouls or Shredder due to their dual purpose
You can see him lock in right around 6 minutes. I can see the realization that he's won in his eyes. Crazy gameplay around 6:20. Normally Dota 2 is a harder game yes, but the way Grubby plays Warcraft 3 makes Dota 2 seem easy.
Do you not face undead or night elf? Cant imagine reaching too high elo and not losing early hhs unless you have amazing game sense and micro. Or camp at base for the first 5 mins or so.
@@readabook5823 plays very well with raiders or wyvs too :) very easy to turtle with TC and if you can get to t3/level 5 it’s insanely strong for base trading. Little bit above your analysis but I can see where you’d think that just based on watching pros play

Tc second hero it will be good but not first its usefull for team fight i perfer tc stun not shock wave i perfer u max aura then stun to add movment speed and bounce attack

You should do some kind of modern warfare using TC / Boots + Catapults and Peons Tower Rush.
Quite enjoying TC opener with fast tech to t2 and raiders and just running around, but thats earshatteringly low mmr. :P
I understand Grubby being ironic about this strat, but TC first using aura lvl 1 to make your peons work faster, then quick expasion is the way.

Reforged completely replaced Classic, but Reforged lets you toggle between classic and reforged graphics... classic graphics are much better.

I used to lame with TC and panda. Don't fight, just wreck their buildings. Shockwave and Breath of Fire can do serious damage to a base.

TC first is incredibly strong on specific maps. there was no reason to be contesting shop against SH first lol
Tc first sucks because his early game is non existent. He’s only really used as the first hero if you are cheesing and going mass HH tier 1
