I am a lifelong cat rescuer/lover, especially cats needing special care, but YOU take ALL the prizes for true love and dedication for this cat with the really challenging conditions. For sure you and your family are being repaid many times over in his love and trust returned. Amazing to see the successful physical fitness programs! No one would believe this in a cat!
This guy is phenomenal. The love for his cat is unconditional. How many people would go the extra mile for their pets? Well, everyone I know! It seems his partner is just as attached and committed to their cat. It is sweet to see how much his cat trusts him as he administers the inhaler. Love this guy.

One of my cats has mild Asthma, she doesn't need an inhaler, she's a pretty active outdoor cat, and she doesn't let it stop her. During summer she barely has any symptoms at all, but in the winter she has asthma attacks more often. It hurts to see her struggling for breath, but as soon as it is over she starts purring and acts like nothing happened.
@@ewelinanajgebauer8862 doesn't always work....depends if you've left it too late or tried to prevent it. The sooner you treat it, even with the slightest of symptoms, the slimmer the risk of an asthma attack.
My old cat started wheezing like that, and the vet told us that she had asthma, but months later at her normal checkup, they discovered that she had a golf ball sized tumor in her lung. The vet couldn't do anything to ease her suffering, and recommended that we put her down before she got any worse. So the very next day, when I was 16 years old, I lost my best friend... who had been with me since I was 3. I really wish, that she had had Asthma and that we could've actually done something to help her. But instead, we let her suffer for god only knows how long, because we were ignorant as to how ill she really was. It's been 6 years, and I still think of her every day.
Ahh I'm so sorry. I had a similar experience and it never leaves you. Cats are really good at hiding their pain and illnesses so don't be too hard on yourself and I'm sure she knew she was loved very much ❤️
Your story about your kitty made me tear up (in a good way!) I'm a lot older than you but I got my first dog Cindybelles when I was 2 years old and she died when I was 18. Sleeping on my bed her whole life and all of my childhood. It's been ? years and I still think of her every day. Memories of my first best friend.
I feel you... I lost my kitty that was like a sister to me since I loved her a lot and she was really attached to me. We grew up together since I was 7. She both came into my life on my birthday and also died on my 21st birthday... she got sick with a heart desease half a year after I had to move out from my house to study in uni in another town. She must've gotten ill because she couldn't stand being apart from me. I know since my parents told she meowed a lot searching for me and started being less active. I still remember that time when she was diahnosed with heart desease and I hoped we could help her with medication that we tried giving her for a month... then things got worse and we had to put her to sleep. I was releaved after that but remembering how she had to suffer.. I still can't forget the pain. eventho it happened a couple years ago. The pain stays. That is why I cried reading your comment because I can feel what you felt
I am overwhelmed with tears of joy to see there is still a bit of humanity left … If there were only a few people like this cat daddy left in the world…💟☮️😻
This is a pretty important health issue to raise awareness to. I lost a cat to this years ago- me, my SO, and our vet had no idea what was wrong until he'd passed, very suddenly. If your cat is coughing and wheezing, get them care.
I had a Siamese cat years ago who had asthma. I also had to give her the inhaler, but I had to wrap her up in a towel so tightly because she hated it that much. I persisted with it every day until I had to put her to sleep eight years later at the ripe old age of 18. I still miss her very much and it's been 10 years. Now I've started to notice my other cat is wheezing, so I'm back off to the vet, and again I'm fearing she also won't take the inhaler easily.
That sweet cat reminds me so much of my first cat... Looked exactly the same, but mine had a white tail tip like a matchstick... The only white on her. I loved her so much, so I know how he feels. Every night i'd bring her to bed and she'd sleep in my arm, and I didn't have a set of stairs yet so if she used the litter box she'd paw my bed and I'd roll over and lift her back up.
Sometimes, you have to force help your cat, and to me, it's always nice to see them really understanding that you are helping them, especially when they after a while submits and let you help them. Cats are adorable little creatures

Anybody who has a cat knows how difficult it is to get a cat to take any kind of medication or for that matter, get them to do anything they don't want to do! I am so impressed that John worked with Liam so patiently to improve his health! That's true love!
Giving my kittens their ear mite treatment for 2 weeks was straight hell lol. It’s the only time in their life they intentionally made me bleed
@@yod4166 been there! 😸
Yes, I have to pill my cat daily. It's a lot of work and took months to get it to work, but I didn't give up even when it seemed impossible at first. Our furbabies are worth the effort, folks, and I promise it gets easier once you establish a routine!
@@pronounhoarder_8632 - having pilled many cats over the years, the little terrors - when getting medicated - learn very quickly all the little tricks we tried.
Put one cat's pill in some Fancy Feast - her fav - worked the first day.
Next day she ate every bite of FF, and then _SPIT_ the pill out! Clink! 😸
@@pawwalker3492 😂😂😂 omg yes.
Cats are ridiculously good at being sneaky.
Mine did the exact same thing. Licked the bowl clean. only thing left was a slightly degraded pill 😭
This wonderful Dad is an inspiration to animal lovers everywhere! God blesses you, sir, and St. Francis and his Angels surround your loving heart!
The way he just relaxes whist getting the inhaler is just so calm. Like he knows the drill 😂
It's just too cute and heart wrenching.
Well he has done it for years so kinda make since and it seems he gets a treat after
This young man is loving, kind and persistent! A beautiful human being.
He's a smash
Our cat has had asthma for a long time. Nothing helped until we tried prednisolone. Helped with inflammation. He went from many cough attacks per day to just one or 2. We slowly waned him off it.
What we currently love and has helped the most is a food from the vet. It's soft food in small cans called c/d (which prevents urinary tract issues) but also helps with stress. The chicken stew one with rice and veggies.
Good luck
Having asthma really sucks I know from experience so I'm glad this kitty is getting the proper care from a loving owner!
I have asthma. Almost died twice in my formative years. Also had a penchant for liking needles even before the constant hospital visits back then. Got my tonsils removed at 7, which partially solved the breathing issues. My tonsils were quite oversized in my narrow throat.
It's very scary to have! I don't think people truly understand how scary it is when you literally can't breathe! ☹️ Something that is most definitely taken for granted 👍 take care and stay safe!
"All that mattered was that Liam has a good quality of life". Perfectly right. That IS the only thing that matters and you have understood it. You love the cat and he loves you. I wished there were more humans like you.
Thank you for caring for Liam. I wish you both a happy life.
I am a lifelong cat rescuer/lover, especially cats needing special care, but YOU take ALL the prizes for true love and dedication for this cat with the really challenging conditions. So many would just not bother because it would take too much “everything”- time, money, effort etc. They love their pet as long as it doesn’t require any sacrifices. If only every human could learn what true enlightenment is. We are all brothers under the skin. Bless you.

I've never heard of a cat having asthma. I'm glad Liam has a good daddy and is doing well. There is absolutely no love in this world like the love between owner and pet.
Neither did i. I have asthma. Almost died twice in my formative years. Also had a penchant for liking needles even before the constant hospital visits back then. Got my tonsils removed at 7, which partially solved the breathing issues. My tonsils were quite oversized in my narrow throat.
My 13 year old cat has asthma. We both use the same inhaler except for he has a different spacer for it. 😊
As a cat sitter, I've had two cats who had asthma so I had to administer the inhaler!
@@kokuhakuqiun4215 Did you mean to say that you had a strong liking for needles?

He is such an amazing person. There r people out there that would think of Liam as a burden and abandon him. So sad. But I am so happy for Liam for getting such an amazing family.
What a patient soul his dad is. If only all of us were so gentle at all times w/our beloved companions....
So true. Blessings
I just LOVE the fact that there are people out there who really love and take care of their pets
Wow. Quite a difference from human asthma difficulties indeed.
Bruh, IF SHE HAS ASTHMA ATTACKS IN THE WINTER, JUST USE AN INHALER-
@@ewelinanajgebauer8862 doesn't always work....depends if you've left it too late or tried to prevent it. The sooner you treat it, even with the slightest of symptoms, the slimmer the risk of an asthma attack.
@@sabrinakfoury3247 That's what i mean-
@@ewelinanajgebauer8862 if their vet said they don’t need one, then they probably don’t have one
Cats are really good at hiding their pain and illnesses so don't be too hard on yourself and I'm sure she knew she was loved very much ❤️
@@obiwann785 thank you
Your story about your kitty made me tear up (in a good way!) I'm a lot older than you but I got my first dog Cindybelles when I was 2 years old and she died when I was 18. Sleeping on my bed her whole life and all of my childhood.
It's been ? years and I still think of her every day. Memories of my first best friend.
Losing a pet during childhood is heart wrenching. 💔
You see how dedicated dad is to keep Liam healthy, and you see the bond that will never be broken!!
I am overwhelmed with tears of joy to see there is still a bit of humanity left … If there were only a few people like this cat daddy left in the world…💟☮️😻
What a wonderful person. The world needs many more people like that.
Bonds between people and animals can be very strong as you have shown. You are lucky to have each other.
God and Jesus love you
Amazing human, I had tears because my cat died & I miss him.
This is a pretty important health issue to raise awareness to. I lost a cat to this years ago- me, my SO, and our vet had no idea what was wrong until he'd passed, very suddenly. If your cat is coughing and wheezing, get them care.
Planet deserves more men like him. God bless him.
He's a great dad
I’d like to see how he trained the cat to take his inhaler! Such an unnatural thing for a cat to do and yet it is perfectly relaxed. Amazing!
Not just for a cat 🐈 for people to ,I feel it's unnatural. I guess the cat trusts and loves him. Good man ,loving person adorable 🥰 cat.
I love his eyes , they are full of hope. Claps for this guy.
Words can’t describe how heart warming and refreshing to see Liam with his dad. Made me tear up ♥️♥️
Sometimes, you have to force help your cat, and to me, it's always nice to see them really understanding that you are helping them, especially when they after a while submits and let you help them. Cats are adorable little creatures

Lucky Liam. Few humans can give as much care and love to a suffering feline as what this man showed. Liam looks very satisfied and grateful.

This is the first I've heard of asthma in a cat. And what a great guy to do all this for Liam. Bravo John! 👍 My last cat, Abby, had numerous health issues, requiring frequent visits to the vet, also twice a day medications I had to give her, and weekly ear cleaning to prevent chronic ear infections, so I understand what this guy has gone through, and I understand exactly his feelings, as I would have done anything for my cat Abby too, I loved her so much, and still do even though she's gone now. She was like my kid. 🥰😺
My condolences.
