That reminds me of the B2 Spirit stealth bomber reveal where a private pilot researched when the airspace restriction would end above the area. He timed a flight to arrive right when the restriction ended and flew high over the bomber taking photos that would show the world views of the aircraft they didn't want revealed. Not exactly the same I know but a fun story.

In regard to the tobacco industry, someone once told me that the same lobbyist(s) who had the obesity epidemic blamed on trans and saturated fats, so that the sugar industry could sell more products, while deflecting blame away from processed sugars, was (or were) the same lobbyist(s) from the tobacco industry who pushed the narrative that cigarettes were good for you.
That's true. Sugar lobby had more money to bribe the politicians than butter lobby.
And it's incredibly difficult to talk to anyone about this and other things treated as medical "fact" that are actually either never proven in legitimate studies or were never replicated.

Both refined fats and sugars are a problem. There's nothing wrong with plant based foods.
The low fat diet didn't didn't actually pick up until the 90s. And instead of promoting healthy plant foods like sweet potatoes, fruits, etc. they just promoted refined carbs, which of course is a problem to many people with blood sugar issues as it caused them to over eat. Instead of fiber enriched food thats supposed to stablize blood sugar. That's why the diet failed.

Before I was born in 1958, my mother had a colored past. She was involved in situations of ill repute but that was out of survival. In the early 50's she was working in a club that was mobster run and she was one of the girls there. A trial came with this senator, and she heard his name and said, oh he's not so bad, which meant that she knew he was in a sketchy situation. They slipped her a micky and she woke up in a state hospital where they conducted a slew of tests on her to try to get her to forget about this man. They have her drugs and shock treatments. She was in there for over a year till this trial came and went. My aunt could not get her out before this. So, I already know how the seedy underground works, sorry to say

Her name was Henrietta Lacks, not Lockes. Her DNA is the source of HeLa cells and they are used in research to this day. As awful as what happened to her was, she is responsible for saving thousands of lives.

My favorite conspiracy theory that turned out to be true was E.T from the movie E.T was buried in the Nevada Desert. In reality it was a pile of discarded Atari cartridges for the video game buried underground.

When it comes to MK Ultra that makes it more terrifying is that there is so much we will NEVER know because a bunch of documents were destroyed by the CIA before they could be seized. Its a terrifying spiral to go down researching it with the little bit of information that does exist.
It's not a conspiracy theory if proved to be true. I just hope more people continue to question the narratives they are given
The problem we face is division. If some don’t believe anything, and research it to prove it being wrongfully told, don’t criticize them. They simply want the truth, and to understand why it was presented in such a way. Its not about disagreeing with anyone, it’s about the research they have done to prove otherwise. When someone is trying to give you a different perspective, it’s only out of love and concern. Research everything!

This is fine, just be careful of your sources. If you try claiming a heavily edited video as evidence, you'd better be able to track down the unedited version and make sure the missing parts don't provably contradict you.

True, but the issue is that I actually know very few who 'trust the government'. Scepticism is something that is normally good, people distrust it because its not on tehir radar. Its really not that important that people believe conspiracy theories so much as its important people believe that government needs to be reformed.
Espcially in the states because MOST of these are the american government lying to you. I'd argue not many are 'good' but there is a BIG distinction between the US and otehr countries. The danger in the US is people increasingly thinking ALL forms of government are illegitimate, which obviously will open a wide gulf between you and what otehrs are doing for political involvement.
Question everything, the truth doesn't mind being questioned but lies avoid it, often @ great cost...
"Operation Paperclip" was the codename given to the importation of German scientists after WWII. The BBC actually made an amazing mini-series about the space race, from both the Russian and United States perspective. It takes some creative liberty, but ultimately primarily sticks to the facts.

Don't forget the CIA Projects Northwood and Mockingbird. Northwood was a planned false flag of crashing commercial jet airliners into buildings domestically (sound familiar), but JFK wisely vetoed it. Mockingbird had the CIA infiltrate mass media in the 1960s and 1970s for propaganda purposes. The NY Times continues with this infiltration, according for former FBI agent John DeSouza. You can't make this stuff up!

One of the most honest answers I ever got was from my Aunt. She wanted to know my opinion about something because I was the families "crazy conspiracy theorist" at the time. (I say at the time because most of them are too now, thank God)
I dont remember the subject, but after I laid out all the facts and articles I knew of, she just straight said "I'm sorry, I just can't believe this."
I asked her why not? It was all right there in front of her.
She said, "Because I'm too scared to."
No one else I know has ever come to that conclusion and honestly said it.

Not when they go into wacky flat earth and qanon territory, this stuff changes on a daily basis and is often self contradictory. In fact you can probably bet the more popular they are the more wrong they will be. They still have the edge in controlling the narrative by letting all of the false conspiracies play out and distracting us from the real ones. Conspiracies are a real thing, they always have been, but the internet has become a double edged sword for conspiracy theories, you're going to get cut either way. People have been so up on edge about vaccine theories as of late they forgot about the virus itself for instance, there are still plenty of legitimate concerns about it's origins. If it's dividing us it's probably helping them.
