I never knew this remarkable footage existed and so much of it. The Europa/Liberte burned once, sank twice. "Bravo!" to both the German and French workers who built and rebuilt and refloated this ship over the years. What an achievement to raise the Liberte in the midst of such wreckage. I salute those who accomplished that and who put the ship back into passenger service. They had good reason to be proud.
Oh, I knew all about this, but it amazes me to see that people were filming on board the Europa after she sank following the collision with the Paris. I read that the Europa's name change to Liberté did not occur until after she was raised. This video seems to confirm that.

The French had back luck with ships at that time.. multiple ships caught on fire and sunk then this hit into the sunken burnt out French ship and also sunk 😅 just after it was handed to them.
