When is the inauguration cruise?
It’s refreshing to see someone not bashing MSC. We had an amazing cruise on the seaside last year. Can’t wait for world America
Thank you and glad to be the one! Just telling it like it is! Think they may have gotten a bad wrap pre-covid but that isn't the company I know.
@@TheWeekendCruiser We just got off MSC Seascape today. It is a beautiful ship. The food was good. My only complaint would be the entertainment. Desired more lively music.
@@chantellenicole7240 Think you are referring to the music throughout the ship and not from the theater? I can see where you would say that. It's not always up-beat during the early evening.
@@chantellenicole7240 Glad everything else was good though!
MSC Cruises is the number one in Europe, Asia and South America, they were sailing on the US market for several years and they are actually targeting now, I wouldn't be surprised if they become number one here shortly. their ships are gorgeous and classy, touch of luxury and sparkles everywhere, completely a different product and I just love MSC. 12+ Cruises with them and can't wait to keep counting.
That is awesome Mark and I am a HUGE fan of healthy competition in the cruise market! They have a bit of a hole to dig out of in the America's market but they are making good strides! I hope they continue doing well!
Everyone hated on MSC, but I just got off a 7 day seascape and loved it.
That is awesome and very glad to hear it! I still don't know why they got a bad reputation as that is not the cruise line I know. I have had a blast and going on MSC the next two weekends!
I agree Brandon, MSC is targeting RCCL customers. The MSC World America "looks" like a slightly downsized Oasis class ship...but with a more stylish profile. When I sailed on MSC Seaside and then on MSC Seashore I remember thinking MSC is more of premium brand than Carnival and maybe even Royal. The confusing part is the price point is at Carnival level! My last cruise in February on Allure of the Seas I was sitting with other guests for the "THE KEY" brunch I mentioned I had cruised on MSC Seashore. The Loyal to Royal couple next to me asked me all sorts of questions about the venues, food, etc! When I told them that MSC'S Ocean Cay is like what Coco Cay was once until Royal turned into an overpriced waterpark. I showed them photos of MSC Seashore atriums, Ocean Cay, my hot tub balcony cabin, etc and they were surprised how beautiful it was. They commented on how pricey Royal has gotten and wanted to see if MSC was a better priced alternative.
Very well said!
I'm booked April 19th 2025 on this ship! Found a great solo cabin.
Love it!! That's the inaugural isn't it? You are beating me to it! I'll be there May 3.
@@TheWeekendCruiser It's the 2nd sailing. The inaugural is April 12th. And that's awesome. 1 more year. I head out on the Seascape Saturday.
We are booked on 12-19 Apr. Can't wait.
I like all your ship models!
I’ve been a loyal RC customer for years. Recently did MSC a week ago and just booked World America! Looking forward to the experience!!!
VERY excited for World America here too! Have a group on the 3rd sailing if you booked that one! Glad to join us!
We booked a world America cruise for May 3…so excited!
That's awesome!!!! It's going to be a great time!
I absolutely love Royal Caribbean. I just went on Wonder of the Seas. It was perfect. I did book a first-time MSC World American cruise for 5/25! I have heard they are comparable to RCI. The main reason is new, big ship and a 14 hour stay in San Juan, Puerto Rico!!(unheard of from other cruiselines) My husband's family lives almost two hours from San Juan, so two trips in one! I'm excited to see MSC!
That is awesome Tammy!! I will be there a couple of weeks before you, so be on the lookout for some good video of World America! I am excited to try her out too.
I can't wait for World America. Right now we are booked on Royal Caribbean, Icon of the Seas for 14-21 Sept 2024. Than we go on our next booked cruise on MSC World America 12-19 Apr 2025. We just came of the MSC Seascape 6-13 Apr 2024. We loved it.
I already have a reservation with the Msc America 2025 🎉
I will try any cruise line if the price is right!
You are my kind of people Cyndi!
I love MSC. For the price of a balcony on ICON, I can book a Yacht Club cabin on MSC. Absolutely, the best cruise line for your money.
If people would just do the math sometimes... so much more value.
Are they suitable for solo travellers?
MSC? They are the most suitable! Prices traditionally have been very reasonable for solo cruisers and the World America has several solo cabins you can book.
When I first saw this attraction I checked if it was April 1st!
hahaha, kind of felt that way didn't it?!
I'm not going on the Cliff Hanger either. I am excited about MSC.
Hi Brandon....if you are moving away from Royal Caribbean and more towards MSC, will Royal Caribbean welcome you back on a Royal Caribbean cruise again ??? ha, ha Grant in Phoenix
hahah, of course they will! We are in an open relationship. No harm, no foul ;-)
I’m looking at the maiden voyage
Come on the 3rd sailing! I have a non-group, group cruise then you could join!
We cruise out of Baltimore and MSC will probably never cruise out of Baltimore, as smaller ships need to slip under the Bay Bridge. Overall, since MSC is a massive, privately held, international container ship line, they can invest in the long-term, and buy market share without answering to shareholders. The sky is the limit for MSC.
It is one of the main advantages they have! And it looks like they are using it!
they better have a weight limit on Cliffhanger 😬
hahahah I mean, it's a cruise? We aren't known for being the lightest bunch of vacationers.
Price would sway me over to MSC royal Caribbean are to dear
That is how I wound up over there lol
Are you compensated by MSC?
Hey Richard, great question! I have never been compensated or received anything from MSC - not even the free upgrade from my interior cabin that I hear about! Though, this video was created as part of a giveaway MSC is hosting for content creators and the first I have ever participated in. ie: free content for 99% of the participants. Luckily, I genuinely like MSC and am excited for them to increase their presence in the US so had no issue throwing my name into the ring.
I am booked on World America for September 2025. When I saw this announcement yesterday, I lost it. I cannot wait to get on this ship. My very first cruise ever was on the MSC Seaside and I loved it. This ship is going to have way more to offer than Seaside did, and I love it. I hope that having the Cliffhanger doesn't mean they will no longer have a Zipline. They initially said there would be a Zipline, but I struggle to see where they would put it. I am still hopeful though.
I just received an email about a cruise in November 2025 and I may just go too..
I went on MSC from Brooklyn last year. My companion said he will never go on them ever again. I was not impressed at all. I hope this new ship is not all tacky Vagas mirror ball looking. I hope they improved.
They do love their mirrors and shinny surfaces in MSC! I can say that being a design aesthetic that a could be polarizing.
As of right now, I don't see any cruise line taking me away from my Oasis class ships on Royal. I love my aqua shows and central park! Big ships get my attention, small ships don't, but I will check out video tours of this World America ship to see how it compares. I do love how the cruise lines are trying to compete with Royal. I don't think anyone will beat their ships, but it might cause them to lower their prices, which I'm all for! You won't see me dangling or swinging out the side of ANY cruise ship though! Yikes!😱
You and me both Amy on lower prices! Love healthy competition! AND heard someone stepped up and booked an MSC cruise!!!!
@@TheWeekendCruiser 😬. Yeah, how about that!! You won't see that someone swinging off the side of the ship though!! Maybe watching other people do it!😂
I would definitely do the swing! I haven't booked World America yet but I'm sure I will down the line.
I would like to emphasize that I am willing to sail with MSC Cruises multiple times (2-3) for the same cost as a single voyage with Royal Caribbean. This preference is based on my favorable experience with MSC Cruises and the value they offer.
1000000000000%.
When do you think MSC may be able to start cruising in Alaska?? Thats my favorite place to cruise, why are they not allowed in Alaska now?
I think it is only a matter of time on this one... MSC has several ships on order and their fleet continues to grow. If they catch-on with the US market, there will definitely be more to come.
Great advice! Taking an April 2025 cruise on World America
You are beating me to it!!! I couldn't get there before May 3!!! Hope you have a blast!
We are booked on world america for halloween next year in the yacht club, can't wait :)
I went on my first cruise as an adult back in May it was on MSC Sinfonia and it was nice. My next cruise is a Transatlantic on the QM2 in June 2025. I just received an email from Pied Piper for this ship for Nov 2025 so I may take this one and possibly go in the Yacht Club.
I a having flashbacks! I used to be on the Pied Piper email list but haven't seen one of those in ages. Wonder if I fell off or what happened. Looks like a geat group!
@@TheWeekendCruiser Did you ever go on one of their trips? I am just not sure as they say they get as many as 1,000 queens which is waaaay too much drama for me. This one will be on the new MSC America World..
@@BlaineShire I have not been on one of their trips but would be open to it. I feel like it is a better option than Atlantis?
@@TheWeekendCruiser Well I will let you when I decide..
Great video as always.
How is your experience as a solo cruiser on MSC? I’m booked on Meraviglia later this year.
I have had a blast as a solo cruiser. Their meetups are well attended and on the Magnifica they always place you at a table with other solos but can change out if you want. Very easy! Have heard great things about Meraviglia but have not had the chance to sail her yet!
I have already booked MSC World America and kind of excited to find what can this great ship offer 😊
Same here!
I am booked on the World America. I am both terrified and intrigued to try this swing out. I have a premium drinks package, so maybe, lol.
Woot! I booked her this week too! May 3! We are going to love it!
@@TheWeekendCruiser I am on May 17th!
@@Jon_T19 I will see you there!
🛳🛳🛳 hello Brandon,
Drop in the suggestion box we need a ship or two here in the Asian/Thailand market this doesn't include Australia or New Zealand. Ship need not be lastest in the fleet.🛳🛳🛳
I am shocked they haven't targeted the Asian market. I would think there is a lot of potential there.
@TheWeekendCruiser There are high-end ships/companies sailing from Laem Chabang. Such as Selverseas, Viking, Oceania, ect..
